Fantasy Football Week 10 Streamers: QB, TE and Team Defense

Before the unveiling of Week 10’s streamers, here’s how Week 9’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).

Quarterback: Justin Fields, 42.72 points
Tight End: Evan Engram: 1.3 points
Team Defense: Minnesota Vikings-6 points

With the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots and New York Jets on bye, here are your Week 10 fantasy football streamers at quarterback, tight end and team defense.

Quarterback: Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday night)

Heading into his Week 9 bye, Garoppolo had multiple passing touchdowns in four straight games with a completion rate north of 67 percent in three of them. He has posted at least 16 fantasy points in five of his seven games this season, with nearly 14 in one of the others.

A Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers is not great for Garoppolo, but it’s not awful either. Five of eight quarterbacks have had multiple passing touchdowns against them this season, and six have topped 14 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) against them.

You know what you’ll get with Garoppolo in terms of a high floor, and if Deebo Samuel is healthy coming off the bye he’ll have a full array of weapons around him to fuel some upside. Those looking to replace Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow (on bye) or in need of a backup plan for Josh Allen (elbow injury) this week can do a lot worse, if Justin Fields isn’t available.

Others to Consider: Justin Fields, Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions (check availability); Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs (check availability); Daniel Jones, New York Giants vs Houston Texans; Jared Goff, Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears; Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers (Thursday night); Andy Dalton, New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers; Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints; Taylor Heinicke, Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (Monday night); Jacoby Brissett, Cleveland Browns at Miami Dolphins

Tight End: Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans

Over the three games before Denver’s Week 9 bye, Dulcich had 182 yards on 12 catches with a touchdown. Over the last two, he had 10 catches for 138 yards on 14 targets. If not for the bye week, he probably wouldn’t easily qualify as a streamer this week.

In Week 10 the Broncos face the Tennessee Titans, who are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season (Yahoo!, 0.5-point PPR). They’ve allowed the third-most yards per game (67.8) and the fourth-most catches per game (5.8) and the third-most targets per game (8.3) to the position as well. Facing Travis Kelce in Week 9 (10 catches for 106 yards on 17 targets) skews all of those numbers, but the Titans are broadly allowing 11.7 yards per catch to tight ends.

The thin tight end landscape has Dulcich well-represented on general waiver wire articles this week. He’s a fairly easy choice as my top streamer for Week 10.

Others To Consider: Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions; Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (Monday night)

Team Defense: New York Giants vs. Houston Texans

Before their Week 9 bye, the Giants’ defense had multiple sacks in four of five games while allowing 20 points or less in the first four of those. Wink Martindale’s unit has posted double-digit fantasy points just once all season, but the Week 10 matchup is hard to ignore.

The Houston Texans have scored 17 points or less in three of their last four games. Quarterback Davis Mills has been sacked multiple times and/or thrown multiple interceptions in six of eight games this season, and in one of the exceptions the Texans scored 13 points.

The Giants are fairly significant favorites at home on Sunday. The prospect of a late lead provides a formula for pressure and sacks, with takeaways as a possible residual.
