Fantasy Football Week 11 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense
Before moving on to Week 11, here’s how Week 10’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).
Quarterback: Drew Lock-10.98 points
Tight End: Austin Hooper-1.60 points
Team Defense: New Orleans Saints-14 points
Another rough week overall, but hopefully I still have your attention. Here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense fantasy streamers for Week 11. On bye this week is the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears.
Quarterback: Alex Smith, Washington Football Team vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Smith is obviously a great comeback story, but since stepping in for an injured Kyle Allen he has produced. In Week 10 against the Detroit Lions, with being down 24-3 a factor, he set career-highs for completions (38), attempts (55) and passing yards (390). Over the last two games he has thrown for 715 yards (8.2 yards per attempt), and he has topped 300 passing yards in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
In Week 11 Smith gets the Cincinnati Bengals, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks thus far (Yahoo! scoring). Six straight quarterbacks have multiple passing touchdowns against them, and four of them have topped 290 passing yards as well (three have topped 330 yards).
Last week’s 55 attempts are an outlier for Smith, but settling in around the volume the Bengals are allowing (36.1 pass attempts per game) will be just fine. Keep an eye on the weather forecast for the D.C. area on Sunday, but Smith’s tendency to throw short to backs and tight ends will help make less affected by wind, etc. On a list of options that feels deep, the former No. 1 overall pick gets the nod as my top quarterback streamer for Week 11.

Others To Consider: Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons; Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers; Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos; Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys; Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs; Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers (check injury and availability); Cam Newton, New England Patriots at Houston Texans (check availability); Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Tight End: Logan Thomas, Washington vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Yep, I’m going with a Washington streamer stack this week. In Week 10 against the Detroit Lions, Thomas had four catches on six targets for 66 yards. He has scored or had at least 60 yards in three of his last four games (both once), with double digit PPR points in those same three games.
On the slate for Thomas in Week 11 is the Cincinnati Bengals, who are allowing the second most fantasy points to tight ends (13.6 per game; Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR). They are allowing the second-most targets per game to the position (8.4 per game), the seventh-most receptions (48) and the third-most yards (583; 64.8 per game).

Thomas is heavily involved, from targets down to the volume of routes he runs. The tight end landscape has put him here as my top tight end streamer before, and I’m going back to the well in a great Week 11 matchup.

Others to Consider: Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles (check availability); Dallas Goedert/Richard Rodgers, Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns; Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings; Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Los Angeles Rams (Monday night)
Team Defense: Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos
It takes a particularly good matchup to turn away from whoever’s facing the Jets for a team defense streamer in a given week, but here we are. The Dolphins have allowed 21 or less points in four of their last five games (17 or less three times), with multiple sacks and takeaways in all five contests. Week 11 was looking good, and now it looks a notch or two better.
Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock threw four interceptions against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10. He has thrown multiple interceptions in three of five starts since returning from a shoulder injury, and he came out of last Sunday’s game with a rib injury. If he can’t go on Sunday against Miami, Brett Rypien or Jeff Driskel would get the start. In the two games Lock misses previously, Rypien and Driskel combined to throw five interceptions.
If Lock were healthy, the fantasy ceiling for the Dolphins’ defense would be quite high with the prospect of scatter-shot throws and interceptions in bunches. On the flipside the floor is higher if Rypien or Driskel start, with arguably a matching ceiling. It all adds up to the Miami defense being my top defense streamer for Week 11.
