Fantasy Football Week 15 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense
Before diving into Week 15, let’s take a look at how Week 14’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).
Quarterback: Taylor Heinicke-8.68 points
Tight End: Cole Kmet-3.2 points
Team Defense: Los Angeles Chargers-6 points
Now into the first week of the playoffs in many fantasy football leagues, with possibly a consolation bracket to play in for non-playoff teams, here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 15. Bye weeks are thankfully, finally, done for the year.
Quarterback: Justin Fields, Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings (Monday night)
Fields returned from a rib injury in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers, with a mix of good (224 passing yards, 74 rushing yards, two passing touchdowns) and bad (18-for-33 passing, two interceptions and a lost fumble). He also suffered a bruised left hand in the game, but it doesn’t sound like it will cost him any time.
In Week 15 Fields gets a nice matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring). They have allowed at least three touchdown passes in three of their last four games, including the last two to Jared Goff (296 yards, three touchdowns) and Ben Roethlisberger (308 yards, three touchdowns).
The hand injury is worth monitoring through the week. But as long as Fields is ready to go for next Monday night, the Vikings’ defense just doesn’t offer much resistance.

Others To Consider: Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets; Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday night); Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers vs. Atlanta Falcons; Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans; Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders (Saturday); Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers; Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans
Tight End: Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders (Saturday)
Wth David Njoku (COVID-19 list) and Harrison Bryant (ankle) out Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, Hooper played every snap and have five catches (on seven targets) for 30 yards and a touchdown. He has at least four catches with a touchdown or more than 50 yards in three of his last four games, and since Week 9 (after Odell Beckham was waived), he has a 16.9 percent target share.
Bryant seems likely be out again in Week 15. While Njoku could return after testing negative for COVID, his status is definitely a question with the Browns playing Saturday. So Hooper could have all the Cleveland tight end work to himself again against the Las Vegas Raiders, who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to tight ends (Yahoo!, 0.5-point PPR).

There’s risk in any tight end streaming option this week, with few options who seem good at all. But Hooper should see plenty of work even if others are available, and the matchup can’t be ignored.

Others To Consider: Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (Monday night); Evan Engram, New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys; Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings (Monday night); Jared Cook, Los Angels Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs; C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos; Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams
Team Defense: Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets
Going into their Week 14 bye, the Dolphins allowed 17 or fewer points with multiple sacks in five straight games. They allowed 10 or fewer points allowed four times in that span, with least nine fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) four times and multiple takeaways three times in that span as well.
In Week 15 Miami gets the New York Jets, who are ceding the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses (8.8 per game, Yahoo! scoring). Their wide receiver corps is riddled by injuries (Corey Davis, Elijah Moore), and their running back rotation isn’t much better-though Michael Carter is in line to return this week.
The Dolphins defense probably only qualifies a streamer in Week 15 because they’re coming off a bye. But here they are, and they’re an easy choice here.
