Before I get into Week 3’s quarterback, tight end and team defense fantasy football streamers, let’s look at Week 2’s picks (Yahoo! PPR scoring).
Quarterback: Case Keenum-15.48 points
Tight End: Jared Cook-8.90 points
Defense: Chicago Bears-20.50 points
Here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 3.
Quarterback: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Monday night)
What Fitzpatrick has done through two games, with over 400 yards and four touchdowns in each game, a completion rate threatening 79 percent and a yards per attempt of 13.4, is not sustainable. But even with some regression coming, he’s making a strong case to keep the starting job once Jameis Winston returns from suspension.
Fitzpatrick will be usable in fantasy for at least one more week, as the Pittsburgh Steelers just allowed 326 yards and six touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes in Week 2. They have allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks through two games (ESPN scoring).
“FitzMagic” is in full swing right now. Another 400-yard game is highly unlikely in Week 3, but Fitzpatrick doesn’t have to do that to be a top-tier fantasy signal caller once again.

Others To Consider: Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens vs. Denver Broncos; Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans; Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers; Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins vs. Oakland Raiders; Tyrod Taylor, Cleveland Brown at New York Jets (Thursday night); Alex Smith, Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers
Tight End: Eric Ebron, Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles
Ebron had three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown against the Washington Redskins in Week 2, and he now has a touchdown in each of his first two games as a Colt. It would be nice to see more target volume (nine through two games), but as long as Jack Doyle (15 targets) is healthy some sort of split is happening. It is notable though, even considering the Colts were milking a second half lead last week, that the target gap between Doyle and Ebron narrowed significantly compared to Week 1.
A 75-yard touchdown helped, but the Philadelphia Eagles allowed three catches for 96 yards to Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard in Week 2. If the Colts are trying to keep pace with the Eagles on Sunday, which there’s a better chance of with Carson Wentz returning, the passing game will take precedent and that should line Ebron up to produce.

As the Colts tight end who appears to be the preferred one for Andrew Luck in the red zone, Ebron is becoming the preferred fantasy option too. There’s ample room to add him and stream him this week.

Others To Consider: Austin Hooper, Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints; Jesse James, Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Monday night); Ben Watson, New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons; Jared Cook, Oakland Raiders at Miami Dolphins; Virgil Green, Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams
Team Defense: Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks
All the lamenting over Dallas’ offensive struggles has overshadowed how good the defense has been. They’ve allowed 14.5 points per game, with nine sacks (six in Week 2 against the New York Giants) and two fumble recoveries as they’re the ninth-best fantasy defense thus far (Yahoo! scoring).
The Cowboys now get the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. Russell Wilson has been sacked six times in both of their games, with five total turnovers thus far. Takeaways is one area the Dallas defense has struggled in, but that could change quickly on Sunday.
Playing in Seattle is never easy, and it will affect the ability of the Cowboys’ defense to communicate well. But otherwise it’s lined up to be a third straight strong effort from Rod Marinelli’s unit in Week 3, and they can’t be overlooked as a streaming option as I target the Seahawks for the second straight week.
