Five Best Landing Spots for Free Agent to be Allen Robinson
With the NFL season coming to a close it’s time we start looking into the offseason. There are multiple targets that every team has going into free agency, one of those targets being Bears WR, Allen Robinson. In his time with Chicago, he recorded 293 receptions for over 3,500 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The one-time Pro Bowler has been widely considered as one of the best receivers in the league for quite some time now. Unfortunately for Robinson, he had perhaps the worst season of his career this year. FantasyPros listed Robinson as the biggest fantasy bust of the year. Even so, many teams will have their eye on him as the offseason begins. I have compiled a list of what I believe to be the five best landing spots for the eight-year veteran.

#1. Philadelphia Eagles
Perhaps the best landing spot for Allen Robinson is in the city of brotherly love. The Eagles managed to make their way into the playoffs as the seven seed in the NFC. They would eventually lose to Tom Brady and the Bucs in the Wild Card round after having quite the season. The Eagles have a couple of big holes is in the roster, specifically in the LB and WR position.
With an EDGE/LB-heavy draft, the Eagles will likely fill their WR needs in free agency. With Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and Jalen Reagor being the starting receivers, Robinson would definitely be put to work. Smith was the Eagles leading receiver with Goedert trailing just behind. This signing would largely benefit both Robinson as well as the Eagles.
For Robinson, it’s almost a sure bounce-back season with a playoff-contending team, and for the Eagles, he improves their receiving core as well as their chances at the playoffs.
#2. Kansas City Chiefs
Signing with the Chiefs wouldn’t exactly boost Robinson’s stats or give him the most individual productivity possible. That being said, this would be the first time in Robinson’s career that he would be able to play with an elite QB on the level of Mahomes. Robinson would also be paired up with a speedy WR duo, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman.
While it may not result in as much individual success, this would give Robinson a very good opportunity to end up in the Super Bowl for the first time in his career. He would likely be put into the WR2 position on the offense and give the Chiefs a very reliable short-middle receiver keeping Tyreek Hill long.
On Sunday, the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in a thriller that sent Kansas City to the AFC Championship game for the 4th straight season. This signing would certainly benefit the Chiefs, resulting in success for Robinson giving him a good opportunity at a Super Bowl.
#3. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have barely missed out on the playoffs two years in a row. Led by young QB, Tua Tagovailoa, they finished with a 9-8 record after a late seven-game win streak. This was historical as no team had ever had a seven-game losing streak and a seven-game win streak in the same season.
A lot of the win streak was due to the weak schedule in that time frame, although they did have a very solid win over the Baltimore Ravens. Tagovailoa was surrounded by some fairly good receivers including Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki. You could also throw Devonte Parker into that mix but he isn’t the same receiver as he once was.
If you added Allen Robinson into that receiving core, it would give Tagovailoa an opportunity to shine with an elite receiving core. The Dolphins’ main problem currently is their offensive line. With another piece added to the line and an Allen Robinson signing, the Dolphins could quickly become contenders.

#4. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos are a couple of key pieces away from being contenders and will likely be going after an elite QB in the offseason. With QBs like Aaron Rodgers and Russel Wilson presumably becoming available, they will certainly have the opportunity to.
The Broncos already have solid offensive pieces in Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, and Javonte Williams. With those three players all being 26 or younger, the Broncos have a bright future. Adding a star receiver like Allen Robinson will even further their potential for success, even if the Broncos stuck it out with Teddy Bridgewater.
If Robinsons was looking for post-season success, his contract will likely have to be multi-year, possibly a three-year contract. Either way, Robinson would be prone to have individual success along with being a good fit.
#5. Chicago Bears
To finish off the list we have none other than the Chicago Bears. Sometimes change isn’t what you want or need as a player and the Bears have found a solid young QB in Justin Fields. If Robinson was willing to stick it out in Chicago a while longer, he could very well see the post-season with an exciting Bears team.
The Bears have been on a slow decline and Robinson could very well want out. That being said, if he isn’t persistent for a change it is a real possibility that he re-signs with the Bears.
