Five QBs You Will Want on Your Fantasy Team
Quarterback is still the most important position in real-life football so we’re going to take a look at some must-have fantasy QBs heading into the 2022 season.

Fantasy Pros ADP: QB3
Hebert is entering his third season but has already thrown 69 career touchdowns. He finished 2021 third in TD passes with 38 and he was third in fantasy points per game (22.7).
The Chargers rely heavily on Herbert and the passing game and that was evident from Herbert finishing second in pass attempts in 2021 behind Tom Brady.
His 302 rushing yards was Top 10 for quarterbacks in 2021. Herbert and Brady tied for the NFL lead with nine 300-yard passing games each. Herbert is expected to be a top-tier fantasy quarterback in 2022.
Herbert has thrown for 300+ yards in 17 of the 33 regular season games he’s played. He doesn’t possess the elite rushing upside like other quarterbacks, but leading the prolific Charger offense is expected to provide major dividends for fantasy managers.
Jalen Hurts (PHI)
FantasyPros ADP: QB 8
From an actual football standpoint, Hurts was an eyesore to watch at times in 2021. Those same questions follow the Eagle signal-caller into 2022.
Hurts possesses league-winning upside, which he displayed in the first several weeks of 2021. in Weeks 1-7 he averaged 245.1 passing yards per game. The only problem was the Eagles were 2-5 in those games.
When the offense switched to a more run-oriented scheme, the Eagles went on a streak and got into the playoffs.
The Eagles acquired A.J. Brown in the offseason and that move likely means Philadelphia will want to throw the ball a little bit more in 2022. Brown, along with Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Miles Sanders gives Hurts a plethora of weapons at his disposal.
Hurts had one of the lowest touchdown rates last season at 3.7 percent. For reference, Jameis Winston had the highest touchdown rate in 2021 at 8.7 percent but he only played seven games.

Aaron Rodgers had a touchdown rate of 6.95 percent. If Hurts’ TD rate rises just a little in 2022, he’ll provide a great return as the eighth quarterback off the board.

FantasyPros ADP: QB 9
The path to Brady being a top fantasy quarterback once again is simple. He is on the most pass-happy team in the league, he throws a ton of touchdowns and he has great weapons.
In 2021 Brady attempted the most passes in the league (719) and finished with the most passing yards (5,316) and second-most passing touchdowns (43) in any single season of his career. He was the QB3 in fantasy points per game. The only red flag is that Brady did all of this as 44 years old.
Brady will turn 45 before the season starts but his age hasn’t slowed down his production. He will command one of the most talented receiving corps in the league and if he can fight off father time for one more year, you can expect him to be one of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the league.
Trey Lance (SF)
FantasyPros ADP: 14
Lance has not provided fantasy managers much of a sample size to make judgments about his skillset. It’s not technically his fault 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan opted to stick with Jimmy Garapolo in 2021. It proved to be a pretty good choice for the team, as the season ended in the NFC Championship game.
Shanahan mentioned recently to the media that the team is ready to move forward with Lance at the helm so expect the second-year quarterback to be fully unleashed in 2022.
Similar to Jalen Hurts, Lance has shown elite rushing ability, evidenced by the 60 rushing yards per game he averaged in his two starts in 2021.
Lance is younger than most of the quarterbacks taken in the 2022 draft, so he’s still a work in progress.
Now that it is officially the Lance show in San Francisco, fantasy managers should take the possible gamble that could prove to be a league-winning move at QB 14.

FantasyPros ADP: QB 15
Cousins finished as QB 12 in points per game in 2021. His new head coach Kevin O’Connell was the offensive coordinator for the Rams and brings a more aggressive offensive philosophy.
If the Vikings are more aggressive through the air with Justin Jefferson, a healthy Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn, Dalvin Cook, and Irv Smith, expect Cousins to finish near the Top 10 QBs this season.
