Four Down Territory: NFL Divisional Round
First Down
WHO DAT SAID THEY GONNA BEAT THEM SAINTS!!
The refs, that’s who.
The Saints got screwed by the worst missed call in postseason history.
Can someone please explain to me how this isn’t pass interference? Refs 23, Saints 23. pic.twitter.com/2lqZJZ64ye

BRUH HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS THAT? EVEN MADDEN GOT IT RIGHT!

Saints fans have every right to be upset. I mean…the refs cost them a spot in the Super Bowl. Let the record show though that the Saints got the ball first in overtime and Drew threw an interception but that’s a story for another day.
The refs admitted to blowing the call and Todd Gurley even took the time to make fun of New Orleans.
Think Todd Gurley cares about the refs helping out? I don't. pic.twitter.com/AMi7cOJDXu

Trolling level on a billion.
Seriously though, the NFL needs to find a way to hold refs accountable. It’s not the first time a bad call (missed or incorrectly flagged) have cost a team a game.
With all that being said, New Orleans just needs to take their L and go home. The fans that are suing the league, buying billboards, and screaming for Roger to reverse the ruling (talking to you, Michael Thomas) need to give it a rest. If we’re standing in the circle of trust then we can call this what it really is; pathetic.
Also, whoever approved this article should be put on administrative leave.
"The Saints deserve to be thanked for a remarkable season. The fans deserve a chance to come together and feel good again.
We deserve a parade. We need a parade." https://t.co/OYPCJt6rQC

WHO THROWS A PARADE FOR LOSING IN THE NFC TITLE GAME? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES, NEW ORLEANS!
On a personal note, it’s nice seeing Sean Payton lose in dramatic fashion back-to-back years. That dude is a prick and is lucky to have a job after, you know, being the head coach of a team that implemented a bounty system.
Good luck next year with a 40 year old quarterback who fell of a cliff the last five games of the year.
Second Down
There was more to the Saints/Rams game than that awful call. The Rams found a way to punch their ticket to Atlanta. The most interesting part of their victory is the usage, or lack thereof, of Todd Gurley. He had four carries for ten yards and one touchdown. He didn’t appear to be hurt and there didn’t seem to be any drama on the sidelines between him and McVay.
Gurley, and the team, just chopped it up to a bad day.
That’s great news for LA fans and potential bad news for the Patriots.
Belichick is known for taking away your best player and it just so happens that Gurley is the Rams best player. After having a bad game the Rams still put up 26 points. There’s a lot more meat on that bone but it’s still a good sign for the Rams.
Speaking of McVay, this guy hired a coach whose only job is to keep him off the field.
The @RamsNFL have a spotter for their head coach and it's our favorite thing right now. pic.twitter.com/fbHsYQqQHp

Imagine going to the gym, getting jacked, and you spend four hours a week holding little ol’ Sean McVay back.
The funny thing is that guy will probably be a head coach next week because he knows McVay.
I’m not joking.
Third Down
PSA: Tom Brady is still Tom Brady.
With two minutes to go Brady drove his team down the field to take the lead. Patrick Mahomes was not to be outdone, though. He led his team down with under a minute to go for the game tying field goal.
Brady got the ball first in overtime and Mahomes didn’t see the ball again.
Props to the Patriots; they made it to the Super Bowl again but one has to wonder what would’ve been in the Chiefs saw the ball again.
A lot of chatter has started about the overtime rules and if they should change. I’m of the belief that they are fine the way they are. Defensive players are paid, too. They should have as much pressure as the offense to do their job.
The Chiefs failed to stop Brady and they lost. It’s that simple.
It’s time for the weekly Mahomes appreciation tweet.
Pat Mahomes is a wizard. The Patriots played this perfect. Got Mahomes to roll to his left, right into the spy. Should be a sack. Nope. Completion on 3rd down. Soul crushing for a defense pic.twitter.com/5Hh4ZKzbuZ

Fourth Down
Larry Fitzgerald is coming back for his 16th season, everyone.
The Legend continues. @LarryFitzgerald will return for his 16th season with the Cardinals in 2019. pic.twitter.com/t5owK1MLTl

A future HOF, Fitzgerald is a class act and the NFL is lucky to have someone like him in the league.
No need to harp on what we already know; just enjoy the time we have with 11.

Derek Carr wanting to fight Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith is the most Oakland thing he could do. You can’t move the team now.
