Point Guards
Trey Burke- $4,600 vs. MEM
Normally don’t target players who are facing the Grizzlies because the games are always low scoring, but Trey Burke is getting almost 20 shot attempts a game which is too good to pass up at his price. Burke has scored 35.75 DK points in each of his last two games. With injuries to Gobert, Alec Burks, and Derrick Favors the Jazz need Burke to keep up his solid play. The Jazz struggle to score points without Favors, Burks, and Gobert on the court, so coach Quin Snyder has been relying quite heavily on Burke, as he has posted 30 minutes/game over his last three contests. Burke provides instant offense off the bench and should see around 30 minutes again tonight.
“The Sleeper Pick”- Brandon Jennings
Shooting Guards
Victor Oladipo- $5,600 @ CLE
We recommended Victor Oladipo last night and he did not disappoint. When a player of his caliber is only $5,600 take advantage. Oladipo has been coming off the bench for the Magic, which makes his match ups extremely interesting. He usually is playing against the back ups in most contests and he can dominate the 2nd-tier players in the NBA with his athleticism. This season, Oladipo has had a few poor performances in really good match ups, so we recommend him as a GPP play, not cash games.
“The Sleeper Pick”- Jamal Crawford
Small Forwards
Kawhi Leonard- $8,500 vs. HOU
Steph Curry may actually have a legitimate contender for the MVP race this season in Kawhi Leonard. You could argue that Kawhi is the best 2-way player in the NBA right now. On Christmas day, Kawhi had 52.5 DK points against the Rockets including 5 blocks and 3 steals. Looking at previous match ups and seeing how the player performed against the team previously is an excellent way to gauge how a player perform. I especially like this Kawhi tonight if Popovich decides to rest Duncan/Ginoboli/Parker, so check @FantasyLabsNBA on twitter for player updates throughout the day.
Shabazz Muhammed- $3,400 vs. MIL
If you really want to be contrarian tonight, Shabazz Muhammed is only $3,400 on DraftKings tomorrow. Shabazz has been very inconsistent this year, but his price hasn’t moved above $3,800 yet this year, so if can get enough minutes to score 30 DK points, he can be extremely valuable. I watched Shabazz play against Milwaukee in the preseason this year and he dominated and led the Wolves in scoring. If Shabazz can have a similar game tonight for $3,400 it may pay off nicely. He did have 23 DK points in his last game against Detroit.
“The Sleeper Pick”- John Henson(Block party)
Power Forwards
Draymond Green- $9,600 vs. DEN
It doesn’t really matter if Curry is ruled out tonight because Green actually struggled against Dallas without Curry in the lineup. Vegas predicts the O/U on this game at 210 combined points, which is the highest on the slate. The Warriors pace of play is 2nd highest in the league, so there are always opportunities for fantasy points in their games, even when it’s a blowout. Green had a triple-double last game when Curry sat out, whether Steph plays or not, I am all in on Draymond Green tonight.
Frank Kaminsky $4,600 vs. OKC
Frank the tank has been awesome so far this season and with Al Jefferson out for the next six weeks, Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky are going to be the featured big men in Charlotte. Both have been playing extremely well in Al’s absence and Kaminsky is the cheaper of the two at $4,600, and he is an even better play on FanDuel(only $4,100). This game could get out of hand quickly, and if so Frank should see a lot of time in garbage time.
“The Sleeper Pick”- Trey Lyles
Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns- $7,000 vs. MIL
Towns is the clear front runner for Rookie of the Year so far, he’s averaging just shy of a double-double on the season. The T-wolves big men(Towns and Dieng) both have great match ups tonight against Jabari and Greg Monroe. Towns and Wiggins have basically been Minnesota’s entire offense over the last several games, and Towns is getting a ton of touches and capitalizing on them. KAT is averaging 38.3 DK points/game over his last 4 games, which is well above his $7,000 price tag. Vegas predicts Minnesota to win by 4, which means Karl Anthony Towns will be a big part of the Wolves offense against Greg Monroe’s less than stellar defense.
“The Sleeper Pick”- Zaza Pachulia
