Free NBA DFS Draftkings Lineup Advice 11/2/15
Well, we made it to November in one piece. There is no better feeling than being able to play NBA fantasy every day this week leading up to the NFL on Sunday. MLB season was a lot of fun, but it is time to get back to some NBA basketball!! This has been a crazy first week of NBA DFS!
Highlights/story lines so far:
- Curry dropping 53 against the pels.
- Mudiay having 11 turnovers in 1st career game.
- Rubio potentially finding a jump shot(put a pin in it)
- Kevin Love being “Focal point of the offense”
- The 0-3 Rockets(lost to Denver by 20….)
- The Knicks: contenders or pretenders?
- DeMarcus Cousins can shoot 3s now??
There is no doubt that there will be many more twists and turns throughout the season, it’s why we play the game. Monday features 7 games, which in my opinion are the perfect amount. There are some nice match ups, as well.
Point Guards
Jarrett Jack $6,000 @MIL
Many people forget that last year, Jarrett Jack was an awesome fantasy player when D-Will sat out. Jack stuffs the stat sheet in multiple ways, he gets a lot of assists, steals, and DOESN’T TURN THE BALL OVER. He only has 4 turnovers on the season. Jack was one of my go to players last year when Deron didn’t play, and his price of $6,000 is pretty enticing. Jack is playing the Bucks and I think it will be a relatively close game, so Jack should play about 35-38 minutes. Until Jack’s price hits about $6,800, I am playing him almost every day.
Jerian Grant $3,700 vs. SA
I know many are angered with Grant for only putting up 14.5 last time out against the Wizards, but if daily fantasy has taught us anything, it is that you don’t give up on a player, because the day you do, they will burn you. Grant was a steal in the draft this year, falling to the Knicks at 19th overall and it’s only a matter of time before Calderon will be sent to the bench and Grant will be starting. Carmelo has said that he wants to play with Grant more and Fischer will probably give in to his demands pretty soon. I love Grant in this game because I think it will be a blowout and Grant will have plenty of playing time in garbage time. In his first three career games Grant has put up 24.75, 22.25, 14.5 DK points, which is fantastic for a non-lottery pick. He is only $3,700, so it is not a risk whatsoever.
“The sleeper pick” – Isaiah Canaan
Shooting Guards
James Harden– $9,900 @OKC (Revenge game Alert)
Probably my favorite daily fantasy strategy and one I believe truly works is the “revenge game.” I love picking players who are playing their former teams because they usually circle this game on the calendar and make sure to show their former team they made a huge mistake letting them go. Harden may have the most beef with his former team than any NBA player. If you recall, he was once traded for a 30 year old Kevin Martin… I don’t think I have ever seen Harden’s price this low before on Draftkings, so I love this pick for that reason as well. If you really need one more reason to take Harden on Monday, the Thunder have given up the most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this year.
Langston Galloway– $4,400 @ SA
One of my favorite players in the league, Langston Galloway, has had an awesome year off the bench for the Knicks. He plays every game like it’s his last. In his last time out, Galloway put up 33.75 DK points at only $4,000! The most impressive thing about Galloway’s performance against the Wizards was that the Knicks allowed Galloway to play during crunch time and he hit a clutch 3 pointer late in the game to seal the deal. Galloway is an excellent pick any day because the Knicks use him in crunch time and garbage time, so whichever way the game script goes, Galloway has value. Like I said earlier, I believe this game goes into garbage time, so Grant and Galloway should be in line to get some good minutes, and keep in mind, Galloway had 7 rebounds last game as a 6’1″ combo guard.

“The sleeper pick” – Manu Ginoboli
Small Forwards
Kevin Durant– $9,700 @HOU
I am not a fan of any small forwards tomorrow besides KD. LeBron isn’t gonna play much against Philly, Carmelo and Kawhi will probably sit in garbage time. There are not many options tomorrow, so you may as well pay up for Durant. Like Harden, Durant is underpriced, even with Westbrook on the court. At only $9,700 that seems like a steal for KD, who is putting up 49.5 DK points/game. If you don’t want to pay up for a small forward tomorrow, I suggest Aminu from the Blazers at $4,800(32.25 and 32 DK points last 2 games).
“The sleeper pick” – Al Farouq Aminu
Power Forwards
Greg Monroe– $7,900 vs. BKN
Many wondered how Monroe would fit in with the up and coming Bucks, and from a fantasy perspective he seems to be just as good as he was in Detroit, but the Bucks are 0-3 to start the season, so maybe it isn’t as good as we think. Monroe has put up some awesome numbers so far this year, including a 55 DK point night in his 1st game with Milwaukee, and had 5 assists last night. He has been getting boards and easy looks down in the post, but my favorite part about this match up is that Thad Young and Brook Lopez are not the best defenders. The Nets have given up the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing Centers this year and Monroe is a top 5 fantasy center in the game. His price has jumped a bit to $7,900, but I still think he puts up a nice game against the lackluster Brooklyn bigs.
“The sleeper pick”- Thomas Robinson
Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns– $6,100 vs. POR
Towns has yet to play an NBA game without putting up a double double and there is no way he doesn’t do it again against Portland. Towns is too cheap and too valuable to not play him at the center position tonight. The blazers will be trying to stop the KAT with the likes of Meyers Leonard and Mason Plumlee, which makes me like him even more. Towns understands how to play the game and already looks like he deserved to be the 1st overall pick. He is averaging 21 PPG, 13 RPG, and 2 BPG in 2 games so far, but the most surprising thing about his stats is that he put up those numbers playing only 32 minutes each game. This may be the lowest price we see Towns at all year, so take advantage on Monday.
Jahlil Okafor– $6,100 vs. CLE
Jahlil put up 26 and 7 rebounds in his first career game, which turned a lot of heads for some reason and I’m not sure why. Okafor was regarded as the best player in high school and the best player in college, so it makes sense that he should be dominate in the NBA, even as a rookie. Okafor and Noel should be awesome building blocks for years to come for the 76ers and they want to see what they have this year in many of their young talent, so Noel and Okafor should be playing big minutes. Okafor has been the starter from day 1, and played 36 and 38 minutes in the two games he has played(even though one was a blowout), and we all know that minutes= points in fantasy. Just like Towns, Okafor seems pretty under priced at $6,100, so get your fill while he is cheap.
“The sleeper pick”- Mason Plumlee
