Free NFL DFS FanDuel Lineup For Week 6, Sunday 10/18

Every week during the NFL season I’ll be publishing my cash game line up for FanDuel and the rationale behind all my selections.

Again, this is my cash game line-up, and while I always put it in a few GPPs, there are other players at a couple of positions better suited for tournaments.

QB Brian Hoyer ($6,700) I think this is a week we’re going to have to pay up a little bit for a running back and some receivers, so we’re going to have to save some salary somewhere. Hoyer might not be a traditionally safe a pick for cash games, but he isn’t a dangerous as you might think. In his last two games he’s scored 17.28 and 20.88 FanDual points (both of which would easily pay off his salary) and neither have been a complete game. On Sunday he faces a Jaguars defense that has allowed 18.14 fantasy points per game.

RB Matt Forte ($8,400) Forte has pretty much been the Bears offense this season and is one of Jay Cutler‘s favorite targets in the passing game, which elevates his floor considerably. On Sunday he faces off against a Lions team that’s allowing 23.16 points to opposing running backs and has yet to face an elite back. Furthermore, the Lions are ranked 23rd against the run and 19th against opposing running backs in the passing game.

RB Danny Woodhead ($6,000) Besides one clunker against the Vikings, Woodhead has been remarkably consistent this season, scoring double-digit fantasy points in every other game. Here the 3rd down specialist gets to face the 31st ranked team against the run in a game the Chargers are expected to be trailing most of the game. Since Woodhead gets most of his fantasy points through the pass and most of his carries when the team is chasing, the game flow sets up nicely.

WR DeAndre Hopkins ($8,500) Hopkins is now the “man” in Houston with Andre Johnson moving on to Indy. He’s been a target monster this season to the point he’s on a pace for well over 200 and 11 is the FEWEST he’s seen so far this year. He’ll match up against a Jaguars defense ranked 28th against the pass and 18th against #1 WRs by Football Outsiders.

WR Julian Edelman ($7,900) This will be the Patriots “revenge game” against the team that ratted them out and leg to “deflategate,” so having some exposure to this game is not a bad idea. Edelman has 47 targets in the Patriots four games this season and is easily Tom Brady‘s most trusted receiver. Mean while the Colts are allowing 37.44 FanDuel points per game to opposing WRs. While game flow might suggest otherwise, don’t expect the Patriots to take their foot off the gas in this one.

WR Larry Fitzgerald ($7,500) Fitzgerald is going through a rebirth this season after a couple of down years. He’s averaging over 20 FanDuel points per game and faces a Steelers secondary that is hemorrhaging points to opposing Wrs and ranked 18th against the pass. This game has one of the higher over/unders of the day, so it all sets up nicely for the verterin receiver.

TE Delanie Walker ($5,400) Miami is ranked 31st against the pass and 18th against opposing TEs.  Finally healthy, Walker provides a nice security blanket for rookie QB Marcus Mariota in a plus match-up.

K Chris Boswell ($4,500) Boswell is playing at home in a game with a high over/under with a back up QB that’s having trouble getting the ball into the end zone. Translation – lost of potential field goal attempts.

D Broncos ($5,000) Denver’s defense is elite and scoring 17 fantasy points per game this season. The Browns offense is not elite.
