Free NFL DFS FanDuel Lineup For Week 8, Sunday 11/01

Every week during the NFL season I’ll be publishing my cash game line up for FanDuel and the rationale behind all my selections. My lineup last week definitely “hit value” at 133.60, so if you used it, you should have won the vast majority of your cash games, I certainly did.

Again, this is my cash game line-up, and while I always put it in a few GPPs, there are other players at a couple of positions better suited for tournaments.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick ($7,400) If you read my article last week, you’ll remember I recommended Ryan Fitzpatrick. I’m going back to the well here. Fitzpatrick is averaging 18.5 FanDuel points per game and faces a Raiders defense allowing 19.6 points to the position and is ranked 17th in the league against the pass by Football Outsiders. The Jets will be looking to get back on track after a loss lat week and their top running backs are a little banged up, meaning Fitzpatrick may have to shoulder more of the load offensively.

RB Chris Johnson ($7,300) If you’ve been making a habit of targeting the Browns run defense this season, you’ve probably been successful. They’re giving up 26.61 points against the position and are ranked 32nd (that means last) in the league versus the run. The Cardinals are solid favorites in the game, meaning positive game flow, as Johnson has been very productive since being installed as the primary rusher.

RB Justin Forsett ($6,900) After a slow start to the season, Forsett has come on the last four weeks, scoring double-digit fantasy points in each game and he’s been particularly good against bad run defenses. The Chargers qualify as a bad run defense. They’re ranked 31st against the run (see what I’m doing here) and are giving up 28.73 fantasy points per game to the position. If the Ravens are going to protect the horrible secondary, they’re going to have to dominate time of possession, which plays in Forsett’s favor. Finally, the Ravens are small 2 1/2 point favorites, meaning game flow will be in his favor as well.

WR Keenan Allen ($8,000) As I mentioned previously, the Ravens have a terrible secondary, they’re ranked 25th against the pass and are giving up 38.7 fantasy points against opposing wide receivers. Allen is the unquestioned #1 WR on the Chargers roster and is 3rd in the NFL in targets with 84. As road underdogs, the Chargers, who struggled to run the ball effectively, will have to pass to win this game. Finally, at 49 1/2 points, this game has the highest over/under on the slate, so you’ll want exposure to it.

WR Mike Evans ($7,800) Finally healthy, Evans exploded for 26.4 FanDuel points last week against Washington. This week Tampa Bay is a 7 point underdog in a game with a high over/under. He’ll be getting a so-so match up against a Falcons defense ranked 15th against the pass. However, with injuries mounting in the receiving corps and the team being such heavy underdogs, Evans should see a high volume of targets if the team is to stay in the game; and could see some nice garbage time production.

WR Stefon Diggs ($6,900) In his last four games, Diggs has averaged 16.325 fantasy points per game and become QB Teddy Bridgewater‘s favorite target. He faces a Bears defense ranked 25th against the pass and giving up an average of 33.72 fantasy points per game against opposing WRs. You won’t find another receiver with such good recent production with such a positive match up. Take advantage now, as Digg’s price is guaranteed to continue to rise.

TE Tyler Eifert ($6,000) The Bengals have played very well this season and Eifert is a big part of that. He’s averaged 14 FanDuel points per game and faces a Steelers defense that has struggled to contain opposing tight ends. The Steelers are ranked 20th against the position and have allowed 14.93 points per game against TEs. The Steelers have played the run well, an area where the Bengals have struggled themselves, meaning Cincinnati should rely on the pass to move the ball.

K Kai Forbath ($4,600) When it comes to kickers I have four blocks that I try to check: high over/under, favored to win, kicking at home and kicking in a dome. Forbaith checks all four blocks, he’s cheap and he should have plenty of scoring opportunities against the Giants. Don’t over think this one.

D StLouis Rams ($5,100) The Rams defense has played well this season, averaging nearly 14 FanDuel points per game, culminating in a 25 point effort last Sunday. They’ll face a struggling and turnover prone 49ers team at home. They’re expensive but with their recent play and match up, look to be well worth it.
