Free NFL FanDuel Cash Lineup for Week 7, Sunday 10/23/16

Every week during the NFL season I’ll be publishing my cash game lineup for FanDuel and the rationale behind all my selections. Hopefully, we’ll use this line up to double our money in our cash lineups.

Again, this is my cash game lineup, and while I always put it in a few GPPs, there are other players at a couple of positions better suited for tournaments.

Note FanDuel has changed their Main contests from Sunday-Monday to Sunday only, to line up with DraftKings and their advertising claims of “one day fantasy.” Therefore I’ve changed as well. This lineup is for the FanDuel Main slate.

QB Matt Ryan ($8,700) Ryan is leading the NFL in several statistical categories to in include passing yards (2075) and passer rating (117.9). He’s been so dominant that he leads 2nd place Eli Manning by nearly 300 yards. He’ll face the 14th ranked San Diego Chargers defense, which is allowing 19 FanDuel points per game. This game features the highest O/U of the day and the Falcons have the highest implied Vegas total on the slate.

RB DeMarco Murray ($8,700) The Tennessee Titans don’t have many offensive weapons, but one they do have is Murray, who looks like he’s regained his form from 2014. Murray has rushed for 526 yards on the season and has gained an additional 172 yards through the air, accounting for 6 total TDs. On Sunday he’ll run against a Colts defense ranked 32nd against the run by Football Outsiders and 32nd against opposing running backs through the air.

RB Spencer Ware ($7,000) Ware was an excellent value before fellow RB Jamaal Charles started experiencing swelling in his surgically repaired knee on Thursday. Now he’s almost a “must start” against a Saints defense allowing a league worst 31.22 FanDuel points per game to opposing RBs. Ware is the 6th highest scoring RB on a per game basis, but is the 14th most expensive RB on FanDuel this week.

WR Julio Jones ($9,200) Everything I said about Matt Ryan pretty much applies to Jones as well. The Chargers are ranked 15th against opposing teams’ #1 WR, but that ranking will be falling with lockdown CB Jason Verrett having recently been placed on injured reserve. This is the perfect spot for Jones to have a huge day.

WR Jamison Crowder ($6,200) TE Jordan Reed has been ruled out for this game. While that’s bad news for the Redskins, it’s actually good news for Jamison Crowder’s fantasy outlook. He isn’t particularly flashy, but Crowder is one of Kirk Cousins‘ favorite 3rd down targets. After a couple of tough matchups, the Redskins take on the Lions, who have to leagues 31st ranked pass defense (32nd against #3 WRs.) With a 50 point O/U, this game has shootout potential and, as an added bonus, Crowder is Washington’s punt returner.

WR Michael Thomas ($5,700) Rookie Thomas is quietly earning the trust of Drew Brees, receiving 25 targets in the last three games, while scoring a TD in each one. He’ll look to keep that streak going against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs do have a good pass defense, but the O/U for this game is 50.5 and the Saints are 6 point underdogs. If the game goes according to Vegas, New Orleans should be doing plenty of throwing to catch up.

TE Jack Doyle ($4,700) Sometimes daily fantasy sports comes down to attrition rather than pure talent or match up. Such is the case with the selection of Doyle. Veteran Dwayne Allen, who Doyle had been outperforming, has been ruled out, WRs Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett have both been ruled out as well. Andrew Luck is running out of healthy bodies to throw the ball to. With a 48 point O/U, the Colts a 3 point underdog and a modest price, Doyle is a good bet to reach value.

K Mike Nugent ($4,600) Nugent has converted 13 of 15 FG attempts, the Bengals have to second highest projected score of the day, they’re 10 point favorites and are at home.

DST Bengals ($5,100) The Browns have a Vegas implied total of 17.5 points and have a rookie QB in Cody Kessler and will probably be playing without their only real playmaker as Terrelle Pryor is a game time decision.
