H2k Gaming Add Freeze To Summer Split Lineup
After numerous stints with challenger/relegation level LCS teams, it appears as if the veteran AD Carry has found a team that can match his mechanical prowess.
H2k Gaming has just announced the signing of Ales “Freeze” Knezinek from a post by the team’s official facebook. The post welcomed Freeze to the lineup and gave a quick synopsis and introduction for those that are unfamiliar with “The Draven God”. The Facebook post then released a couple of words from the new H2k Ad carry himself:
“I’m happy to announce that I will be playing under the banners of H2K. I’m confident that we will qualify for worlds and represent EU well”
Freeze is an AD Carry that is often touted for having great mechanics and an ability to create his own leads by mechanically outplaying his opponents on a normal basis. This is supported by his 9.6 CS per minute, which is the highest among any player in the NA LCS last split. He has continued to put up amazing stat lines on teams that have often found themselves in the relegation tier of LCS.
This appears to be the first split where he won’t be the only star player on his team. The H2k squad is looking to retain the players and coaching staff that often gives them the moniker of “Best EU Macro play”. This will be Freeze’s first chance with a team that is able to match the Czech AD Carries mechanical prowess which should leave fans of both H2k and Freeze excited for the upcoming split and possibly Worlds. The team will look to expand on their 4th place run and look to make a dent in the top 3.
H2k has received some criticism for not thanking their former AD carry,Konstantinos “FORG1VENGRE” Tzortziou-Napoleon, for his time and effort that ultimately led the squad to a 4th place finish this most recent split. Fans are posting comments like “No, Thanks Forgiven for your service???” and “H2K please write Thank youForg1ven247 for your great job on our team” in hopes they will acknowledge that Forgiven as left the team due to military deferment to the Greek Army.
Many fans are very impartial with the signing of a new AD Carry but knew it was a move that had to be made. Forgiven is a fan favorite that is often considered the best Western AD Carry and many fans will wait for his 2017 return to the LCS stage.
However, until then, let us embrace in the fact that Freeze is now officially back in the EU LCS where the next Best of 5 series played will most likely be in playoffs instead of relegation
