Milwaukee Bucks Team Preview: Khris Middleton Primed for Big Things

Alright, fantasy basketball fans, it’s time for another one of my GF2 fantasy basketball team previews! Today, we’ll look at a young Milwaukee Bucks team who have a plethora of talented fantasy stars. Not only will these players have Milwaukee in the mix in the Eastern conference, they’ll also help to guide your team to fantasy glory. From new Buck Greg Monroe to Khris Middleton, this Bucks squad is scary good!

So, here’s my 2015-16 Milwaukee Bucks fantasy basketball preview:

Khris Middleton, SG

This young Bucks offense will look to Middleton to be the go-to scoring option this season. Last year, he averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Middleton averaged 30.1 minutes per game last year as well, allowing him plenty of time to fill up your fantasy stat sheets. In 2014, he shot a nice 85 percent from the charity stripe and 46 percent from the field. Overall, last season, Middleton put up very solid real life and fantasy numbers, so I’m expecting even better totals this year.

With the plethora of talent in Milwaukee this year, Middleton should be able to pick his shots rather than force them. Last season, the Bucks leaned on him a bit too much, so I’m hoping for better results this season. A healthy Michael Carter-Williams will be able to distribute the ball easily to a guy like Middleton and big men in Monroe and John Henson will be a force in the lane. All of these players will allow him to shine in 2015-16, so grab him in your fantasy drafts.

Fantasy Prediction for 2015-16

16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game

Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF

Antetokounmpo’s nickname is the “Greek Freak” for a couple of reasons. First of all, his name is crazy hard to spell and secondly the dude is an absolute freak of an athlete! In 2014, he averaged 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Last season, Antetokounmpo also shot 46 percent from the field. The Greek Freak is the player whom I’m most excited to watch this year because of his explosive play and solid fantasy output.

This will be Antetokounmpo’s breakout campaign! Pairing him with Middleton in Milwaukee means bad news for all other NBA defenses. These two guys are going to own the court for the Bucks and are going to become fantasy studs in 2015-16. With positional versatility, freak athleticism and crazy length, Antetokounmpo should without a doubt be on your fantasy radars going into your upcoming drafts!

Fantasy Prediction for 2015-16

15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game

Jabari Parker, PF

Coming off a solid rookie campaign, Parker is primed to do even bigger things in 2015-16! Last year, he averaged 12.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Parker also shot 49 percent from the field in 2014 and looks to be even more involved within the Bucks offense this season. He has yet to make his preseason debut this year, but coach Jason Kidd says that he has had a nice training camp.

In his rookie season last year, he was only able to play in just 25 regular season games before tearing his ACL, ending his season abruptly. So, in 2015-16 we do have to worry about that injury somewhat, but as of now Parker is fully healthy. One stat that I’d like to see him improve on his is free-throw shooting. Last season, Parker shot a disappointing 69 percent from the charity stripe. In mock drafts this off-season, I’ve seen Parker go as low the middle of the 9th Round, target him there and play him with confidence this season!
