Game 1: Pittsburgh Pirates @ New York Mets

Play: Pirates ML @ -106

Risk $100 to win $94.34

So far the Mets/Pirates series has been a battle as the clubs have so far split the series 1-1 and both want to add a series win, in what has been a terrible month for both teams. For this game, the Pirates are the play, as Ivan Nova takes the mound attempting to continue his magnificent month of June as he has only allowed two runs in his three starts this month. The Mets will send Zack Wheeler to pitch, he has allowed 12 runs in his last three starts this month, and I expect the Pirates to take advantage of his recent struggles.

Game 2: Cincinnati Reds @ Atlanta Braves

Play: Braves ML @ -145

Risk $100 to win $68.97

The Braves ML is the play here as Sean Newcomb will pitch against Luis Castillo. Both teams bats have been hot as of late, so that is why it makes the most sense to take the best pitcher in the game. Runs will be scored, but the one that reduces them the best has to be the play. That is why we take Newcomb and the Braves here to win. Newcomb has only allowed more than three runs in two of his last ten starts, while Castillo has allowed more than three runs in five of his last five starts. With the Braves bats being so hot I smell trouble for the young Castillo and a win for the Atlanta Braves.

Game 3: Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants

Play: Rockies ML @ +135

Risk $100 to win $135

Most will be hesitant to bet against Madison Bumgarner, but the Rockies are no joke when it comes to batting off of lefties. They are hitting .278 against left-handed pitchers this season. Kyle Freeland will be on the mound for the Rockies, as he has already beaten the Giants this season allowing only three earned runs on route to an 11-4 win. I think this will be a low scoring game, but the Rockies eventually stack up enough hits to bring them to victory as the underdog.
