MLB Happy Hour: DFS DraftKings Lineup Advice for 5/24/16
Happy Tuesday everyone! We are back to bring you more @TopShelfDFS fantasy advice for May 24th’s 14 game slate! Here’s a look at last night’s cash line:
Pitching
David Price $8,900 vs. COL

It’s been an up and down year for Price during his transition to Boston. He still hasn’t gotten his 5.53 ERA down to a more acceptable average, but Boston is winning games which has masked it to this point. Price has still been able to rack up a ton of strikeouts(averaging 1.27 K/inning in 2016) Vegas has Boston as -230 favorites tonight, which is the highest on the slate, so Price should get the W and rack up the K’s for just $8,900 tonight.
Jeff Samardzija $11,700 vs. SD
Samardzija has seen a mini-revival of sorts this season in San Fran. Samardzija is averaging an incredible 29.05 DK points/game over his last 4 starts. His last outing came against San Diego, in which he gave up just 1 run in 8 innings while striking out 8 Padres. He should have similar success tonight at home against the struggling San Diego offense.
Sneaky GPP Play- Justin Verlander
Lineup
Chris Davis $4,300 @ HOU
Call Your Shot Pick of the Night
Doug Fister has struggled all season long, but especially against left-handed batters. Lefties are hitting .315 off of Fister this year, while righties just .179. Davis has cooled off after his hot start to the season but is still on pace for 40 HR in 2016. I say he knocks one into the stands tonight in Houston.
Justin Upton $3,400 vs. PHI
Upton has been the biggest disappointment in fantasy this season as he comes into tonight’s ball game hitting .223 with just 2 home runs. However, Upton is probably the streakiest hitter in all of baseball, and can go on week long streaks hitting .500. I say if he starts tonight(Day-to-day), he gets one of those streaks started against Hellickson, who he has a career .500 OBP against with 2 home runs.
Matt Wieters $3,300 vs. HOU
Wieters has been playing excellent baseball of late, as he’s 9 for 16 over his last four ball games. Wieters and company have a juicy matchup tonight against rightie Doug Fister. Fister really struggles against lefties and Wieters will get a chance to hit from the left side of the plate tonight at hitter-friendly Minute Maid Park.
David Ortiz $4,400 vs. COL
Gotta give some love to the Boston stack tonight at Fenway. Boston is taking on lefty Jorge De La Rosa tonight and the’ve batted .331 as a team the last 2 weeks. De La Rosa has struggled at home but has struggled even worse away from Coor’s(12.15 road ERA, 9.22 home ERA) De La Rosa is coming off the disabled list tonight and has the worst match up one could possibly ask for, as he takes on the MLB’s best offense in the Boston Red Sox.
