MLB Happy Hour: Free DFS Lineup Help and Advice 5/9

Hope everyone had a Happy Mother’s Day! Let’s check out tonight’s slate 13 game slate. Here’s a look at our cash line from last night:

mlb reports 5/9

Pitching

Matt Moore $7,600 @ SEA

Why do DFS players love Matt Moore so much? One word: Strikeouts. Moore has 37 strikeouts on the year in 36 innings pitched and he’s faced some very good offenses in the process. Many forget that Moore had a 17-4 record as a 24-year-old in the AL East, which is no small feat. Seattle’s lineup is filled with left-handed bats, and the Mariner’s hitters are hitting just .213 off of Moore lifetime. Really like Moore’s matchup and price tag tonight at pitcher-friendly SafeCo Field.

Felix Hernandez $11,000 vs. TB
mlb dfs sleepers 5/9

The Ray’s offense has been abysmal this year, as they’re hitting just .228 as a team and haven’t yet scored 100 runs on the season. Felix has dominated Tampa Bay in his career, as Ray’s hitters are batting just .169 against him, and he has an incredible 39.7% K-rate against them in his career. Considering it’s “Ace Day” today, $11,000 is relatively cheap for Felix as he’s taking on the AL’s worst offense tonight at home.

Sneaky GPP Play- Jose Berrios

Lineup

Derek Dietrich $3,400 vs. MIL

Dietrich has had an excellent season to this point in the year, as he’s batting .302 with 11 RBIs in limited playing time. Dietrich has been batting leadoff for the Marlins over their current winning streak. Dietrich has really only been inserted into the lineup when facing right-handed pitching, and it’s hard to find a righty who has had a season worse than Wily Peralta. Peralta’s last start came against Miami, as he gave up 13 hits in 5 and 2/3 innings! Peralta has struggled in virtually every start and hasn’t thrown a baseball in a week(paternity leave).

Charlie Blackmon $4,600 vs. ARI

Yes…Coor’s ruins daily fantasy baseball, but, it’s best to have some players in this contest because science says so. If I have to choose between stacking Rockies and D-Backs tonight, I’m going Colorado. Tyler Chatwood is a legitimate ace at this level( Just look at his road #s), so even at Coor’s, I’m staying away from D-Backs. Blackmon is always a ? for my cash lineup when he’s playing at home, his career home/away splits are borderline ridiculous. Blackmon can hit for power, steal bases, and score fantasy points in multiple ways. He should be batting at leadoff for Colorado come 6:05 pm.

Josh Reddick $3,900 vs. BOS

Buccholz has really seen a fall from grace, as he’s really struggled since the injury last July. Buchholz comes into tonight’s game with a 5.71 ERA in 6 starts this season. Redick is a career .444 hitter against Buchholz in his career and he’s 9 for 14 in his last 3 games  coming into tonight’s contest. At just $3,900, love Redick tonight playing in his former ballpark and all A’s for that matter.

Giancarlo Stanton $5,200 vs. MIL

mlb reports 5/10

It seems Giancarlo’s bat has finally made it’s the trip up from spring training, as Stanton has homered 5 times in the last 10 games. Stanton has an excellent shot at another big fly tonight against the hard-throwing righty Wily Peralta. Giancarlo is averaging 13.2 DK points/game over his last 10, definitely paying up for Stanton tonight at home against Peralta.
