Pitching

Hector Santiago $8,400 vs. SEA

Santiago has been dealing this season, as he boasts a 2.61 ERA, 20 K’s, and a 0.92 WHIP. If you’re stacking Coor’s tomorrow, you’re going to need to find some cheaper arms to fit in all the high priced bats(Corey Seager comes at a $4,800 price tag!) Gotta love the matchup for Santiago tonight, as 6 out of the 9 batters in the Mariner’s regular lineup are lefties. Checking out the Mariner’s BVP against Santiago, they are just 22 for 92 against him, without a single home run and have scored just 5 runs against him in 4 career starts.

Michael Wacha $8,900 @ SD

There are a lot of interesting inexpensive pitching options tonight for GPP, but those aside, Wacha should be a ? for cash games. The Padres have struggled mightily this season and haven’t been able to score runs(except in their 3 game stint at Coor’s) Like Santiago, Wacha has an excellent matchup tonight, as most of the Padre’s lineup is right-handed and it doesn’t hurt that they are playing in pitcher-friendly Petco Park. Wacha is notorious for losing control of his fastball and walking a lot of batters, but if he can throw strikes and keep the ball on the ground, it should be an easy outing for him and the Cards.

Sneaky GPP Play- Kenta Maeda

Lineup

Jordy Mercer $2,900 @ ARI

Last night in Arizona, Mercer hit a moon shot off Patrick Corbin as it traveled 466 feet according to MLB Statcast(longest HR this year so far) Mercer has been swinging the bat so well that he’s been promoted to the leadoff spot and has played exceptionally well for Pittsburgh. At just $2,900, Mercer has excellent upside hitting in the leadoff spot for the Pirates and with Rubby De La Rosa on the mound, expect a lot of runs in this contest on both sides! Pirates have been changing their lineup up a lot recently, so check it before games ?

Andrew McCutchen $4,700 @ ARImlb dfs sleepers 4/23

Right-handed batters are hitting .333 off De La Rosa in 2016, as he’s had trouble getting most everybody out on the young campaign. De La Rosa has struggled mightily this year, as he’s already lost 3 games and he’s giving up almost a run/inning so far as a starter. The Pirates lead the league in batting average and on-base percentage so far on the season, they’ve been an excellent stack for cash games all season long. Definitely could see a Pirates stack(Cervelli, Mercer, Marte, Harrison) taking down a GPP tonight in Arizona.

Odubel Herrera $3,500 @ MIL

Not a lot of people have heard of Odubel Herrera, but this kid is the prototypical Moneyball player…simply put: He gets on base. Herrera has walked in every single game over the last 8 contests, which makes him an even better play on FanDuel. Herrera batted .297 last year for the Phillies and is one of the most consistent fantasy players in the game, he just always finds ways to put up points. At just $3,500 Herrera has tremendous value hitting in the #2 spot in the Phillies lineup against righty Chase Anderson in Miller Park.

Adam Jones $3,900 vs. KCmlb help

Adam Jones has been a lock for an all-star spot for the past 6 years or so, but he has really struggled this season despite the Orioles’ success this year. Jones’ price has dipped below the $4,000 mark and when that happens to a perennial all-star like Jones, seize the opportunity. If you noticed from our cash lineup up above, we took Maikel Franco last night who had been struggling, so FD lowered his price and we took advantage. Jones has an excellent matchup tonight against lefty Kris Medlen, he has been struggling as of late, but his price is fair for a player of his caliber and it’s dipped as low as $3,000 on FD.

Christian Yelich $3,800 @ SF

Yelich has been on fire to start the season, as he’s batting .400 on the year. Unfortunately, Yelich is more of a contact hitter who can show you occasional power, but he’s mostly in the lineup to get on base and set the table for Stanton, Ozuna, and Realmuto. Peavy has shown a lot of signs of age this season, as his ERA is close to double digits in three starts this season. The Marlins can be sneaky explosive at times stringing hits together in bunches, so don’t be afraid to have a couple Marlins in your line tonight(Yelich, Gordon, Stanton) against the 34-year-old Peavy.
