MLB Happy Hour: Free DraftKings DFS Lineup Advice 4/30
Happy Saturday everyone! April is just about over, so let’s kick it off with a bang! Here’s a look at our lines from last night:
PitchingÂ
Trevor Bauer $8,500 vs. PHIÂ
Trevor Bauer is definitely the toughest pitcher to gauge on the slate tonight. This is Bauer’s first start of the season as he’s been coming out of the bullpen all season long. Bauer has been pitching well out of the pen this year and he gets the start tonight against the MLB’s worst offense in the Philadelphia Phillies. As a starter last year, he averaged just shy of a K/inning and surprisingly pitched much better on the road than at his home ballpark. Vegas has the Indians as -120 favorites tonight, love the K potential and W potential tonight on the road in Philly.
Yordano Ventura $9,500 @ SEA

Ventura has been ? ? ? this season as he boasts a 2.35 ERA, 2-0 record, and 21 K in 23 innings pitched. On paper, the stats don’t do him any justice, as he’s mowed down some of the best offenses in the game this year(O’s, Tigers, and Astros) Ventura has faced the Mariner’s twice in his career, and has had excellent success, as Mariner’s hitters are batting just .175 aginst him with a 29% strikeout rate. Really like Ventura tonight, as the Mariner’s have struggled to score runs at home all season long.
Sneaky GPP Play- Wei-Yin Chen
LineupÂ
Prince Fielder $4,500 vs. LAA
Matt Shoemaker has really struggled this season, as his ERA is just shy of 7.00. Shoemaker has struggled this season for 2 reasons in particular:
- He gives up a ton of home runs
- His pickoff move allows runners to take the extra base and swipe bags easily.
Shoemaker faced the Rangers in his first start of the season, and it ended with Texas putting up 7 runs in just 3 innings. Fielder has struggled this season but is always a home run threat every time he steps up to the plate, gotta like the righty v. lefty matchup tonight in Arlington.
Delino DeShields $3,800 vs. LAA
DeShields has been in a dreadful 2 for 30 slump as of late, but got the day off yesterday in favor of Ryan Rua. Expect DeShields to be atop the Ranger’s order tonight against Matt Shoemaker, who he has had excellent success against in the past. In their first meeting this season, DeShields went 2 for 5 with 2 stolen bases against Shoemaker along with a walk. DeShields should have plenty of opportunities for fantasy points tonight at the top of the Ranger’s lineup.
Starling Marte $4,700 vs. CIN
Starling Marte has been on ? ? ? as of late as he’s averaging 11.8 DK points/game over his last 8 ball games. Alfredo Simon is on the verge of losing his starting job, as he comes into tonight’s matchup with a 16.39 ERA in 4 starts. Simon hasn’t made it past the 3rd inning in any of his last 3 starts, and if you need another reason to stack pirates tonight, Simon is averaging -1.7 DK points/game on the season… Marte has had excellent success against Simon over his career, as he has a career .455 .OBP % against him with 2 stolen bases. The Pirates have let us down numerous times this year, but you gotta have a short memory in daily fantasy.
Jacoby Ellsbury $4,100 @ BOS
I believe the Rick Porcello we are seeing this year is a fluke. It’s just the start of the season, and Porcello is mowing down some of the best lineups in the game. But just last season, hitters were batting .288 off of Porcello with 25 home runs in 172 innings. Lefties in particular had excellent success against Porcello, as they batted .290 with 16 home runs. The Yankees are loaded with left-handed bats, who can turn a good outing into a nightmare in a hurry(Just ask Colin McHugh) Ellsbury is a career .417 hitter off of Porcello and I like the revenge game narrative for him tonight in Boston.
