Must Add Players from the Waiver Wire for Week 6
WR Mecole Hardman (KC) 44% Owned
Sammy Watkins has a hamstring injury, which is awful for any Wide Receiver. Mecole Hardman instantly becomes WR2 on the best offense in football at least for a few weeks in my opinion. Monitor Watkin’s injury before picking him up, but hamstring injures for a Wr are awful, just ask Julio Jones or Devante Adams. — @yetiexpress2
QB Andy Dalton (DAL) 1% Owned
Dak is out for the year — leaving Dalton with an opportunity with the best cast of offensive weapons he has ever played with. — @EagleDanFF
WR Preston Williams (MIA) 22% Owned
Just when it seemed like it was time to move on from Preston Williams, he has a game that shows you why so many were high on him this offseason. Williams had his best game in Week 5, catching four passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.
He led the team in targets with five and is tied with DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with two. Williams is still working his way back from an ACL injury, so it’s likely his production will be up and down for the foreseeable future. But he looked explosive and flashed his potential as the Dolphins WR1. — @GMenJay
QB Kirk Cousins (MIN) 32% Owned
Next week Cousins plays the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks (33) so far this season. There is a chance that the Falcons have a bounce back with a new coach, but with Brees, Carr and Cam on a bye and Dax out betting on Cousins against the Falcons defense is legit. — @neverenoughglt
RB Chase Edmonds (ARI) 60% Owned

Anyone else getting tired of seeing this guy outperform the guy in front of him week in and week out? No doubt you’re frustrated if you bought stock in Kenyan Drake this season. Edmonds tallied 92 scrimmage yards with a score this week and continues to look like the best back in Arizona. — @RobertBlock07
WR Kalif Raymond (TEN) 0% Owned
Raymond currently sits as the #2 receiver in Tennessee’s offense while Adam Humphries and Corey Davis are out on the reserve/COVID list. With how potent Buffalo’s offense has been this year, the Titans will have to pass in order to keep up on Tuesday night, so Raymond should have a chance to step up and prove himself. Raymond has value in a strong offense as long as Humphries and Davis are unavailable. — @TB24FF
WR Henry Ruggs (LV) 44% Owned
Henry Ruggs proved why he was drafted by the Raiders to be the big play guy in the Raiders offense as he caught two balls for 118 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Ruggs is the perfect guy to stash on your redraft team as a bye week fill. He will definitely be a boom or bust play, but when he booms, he will boom big. — @reynoldst5858
WR Laviska Shenault Jr. (JAX) 34% Owned
Absolutely baffling that Shenault is available in 66% of leagues. With Chark seemingly battling injuries every other week and the target share with Cole shifting in Shenault’s favor, this is an immediate pick-up. He may not be a must-start, but he does provide depth and you don’t want to be left scrambling to snag him on waivers when he finally breaks out for a multi-touchdown game. — @shawn_sulli5
RB Alexander Mattison (MIN) 39% Owned
We’re still waiting to hear how severe Dalvin Cook’s groin injury is, but either way, Alexander Mattison is worth the pickup. In relief of Cook on Sunday Night Football, Mattison rushed 20 times for 112 yards and caught all three of his targets for 24 yards. However long Cook is out Mattison slots right in as an RB1. Even if Cook doesn’t miss much time, Mattison is a premium handcuff and worth rostering with how often Cook gets injured. —@GMenJay
WR Travis Fulgham (PHI) 3% Owned
Game script and a myriad of injuries opened up opportunity and Travis Fulgham has stepped up to that opportunity. After being targeted 13 times and converting ten catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns, Fulgham should be your main waiver wire add for the week. — @ricco_3733
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (MIA) 21% Owned
Fitzmagic has once again made an appearance. He threw for 350 and three touchdowns against an injury-riddled 49ers defense. With Fitzpatrick, we know there will be some ups and downs but with bye weeks being shifted and a serious injury to a top 10 quarterback why not look the veteran’s way. Besides this week he goes up against the Jets who have given up multi-touchdown games to 4 quarterbacks. —Â @Shawn_Sulli5
WR Brandin Cooks (HOU) 44% Owned
Whether it was a new offense, Bill O’Brien, or some other reason, Brandin Cooks seems to be past his early-season woes. In week 5, Cooks drew over 30% of the Texans’ targets (12), turning them into an eight catch, 161-yard effort that also saw him find the endzone one time. As Deshaun Watson‘s trust in him continues to grow, those numbers should begin to repeat themselves every week. — @joshmkerr
WR Chase Claypool (PIT) 16% Owned
Claypool is a freakish athlete who boasts insane speed (99th percentile), burst (92nd percentile), and size (6’4″ – 238 lbs). He has gained the trust of his coaches as evidenced by the 76% and 68% snap counts he has enjoyed in his last two games. He appears to have gained the trust of Ben Roethlisberger as well after he was targeted eleven times in week five.
Diontae Johnson did exit early due to a back injury, but Claypool fully took advantage of the opportunity and delivered in a huge way. Do NOT expect him to score four touchdowns each week, but expect his role to continue expanding in an offense that projects to be in the top one-third in terms of pass attempts. — @ffb_bbq
WR Jeff Smith (NYJ) 1% Owned
Over the course of the past two weeks, only four players have registered more targets at receiver than Smith(Theilen, Robinson, McLaurin, Anderson). A universally available player, with all three major sites of Yahoo, ESPN, and CBS, reporting lower than 3% rostered.
Smith has seen a 26% target share through those two contents, with two different quarterbacks under center, seeing just as much work as fellow receiver Jamison Crowder. A player that had a 77% catch rate with Sam Darnold, as well as an offensive snap rate of 97%, the most of any non-lineman or quarterback for New York, needs to be more than 3% rostered.
The last incentive is a week 10 bye for New York, with a total of 11 teams going on bye over the next three weeks(Covid affected teams not-withstanding within that time frame) a top five targeted receiver is well worth a stash. — @Matthodical1
Other Players of Note
- WR Jalen Guyton (LAC)
- TE Jimmy Graham (CHI)
- RB J.D. McKissic (WFT)
- TE Darren Fells (HOU)
