NASCAR DFS DraftKings Lineup Advice: Las Vegas Picks 3/4/2018

Kevin Harvick dominated last weekend’s races at Atlanta Motor Speedway by winning both the xFinity race and the Monster Energy Cup race. This week, NASCAR travels west to Sin City and the home of Kurt and Kyle Busch, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The track falls into the Intermediate track category where it is a 1.5 mile, D-Shape oval. Last year’s race contained some serious drama when Joey Logano spun out Kyle Busch on the final lap, which led to a Pit Road brawl at the end of the race.

My Top 4 Drivers for the Penzoil 400

Kevin Harvick($10,300): NASCAR is all about momentum. Harvick won both the xFinity and Monster Energy Cup races last week in Atlanta. He qualified 2nd, so he has run well this week. He won the Las Vegas race in 2015.

Martin Truex Jr.($10,500): Build your cash lineups around Martin Truex Jr. He runs well at many types of tracks, but is dominant at these intermediate 1.5 mile tracks. He won this race last year for his first win of 2017.

Brad Keselowski($9,400): Last year, Keselowski won the Atlanta race and finished 5th in Las Vegas in the following week. Last week, Keselowski finished 2nd, and expect an excellent follow-up Top finish this week in Las Vegas. Oh by the way, in the past 5 races in Las Vegas, has finished all of them in the Top 10, and finished in Victory Lane in 2014 and 2016.

Kyle Busch($10,000): Hometown narrative as Kyle Busch reigns from Las Vegas, Nevada. Last year, he was on his way to finish 3rd before Joey Logano spun him out and actually finished 22nd. The on-track incident led to an off-track brawl where Kyle Busch went up to Joey Logano and started swinging. Look for an emotional Kyle Busch to finish in the Top 5 this year.

Others to Consider

Joey Logano($9,300): Joey Logano will be watching his back this year at this race as you never know if Kyle Busch takes revenge this time at this track. But, Logano won’t worry about that and will bank on his overall solid performances at Las Vegas. He has four Top 10 finishes in the last four races in Las Vegas. He finished 4th in 2017 and 2nd in 2016.

Ryan Blaney($8,700): Ryan Blaney has started the year well, running well in practices in Daytona, Atlanta, and in Las Vegas. He starts on the pole in Las Vegas edging out Kevin Harvick. Look for him to accumulate fantasy points by starting out front and Leading Laps. He runs pretty well overall in Las Vegas.  In his last 2 races in Las Vegas, he has finished 7th and 6th place respectively.
