NBA DFS (DraftKings) – Wednesday 12/12
Alright, tonight on the NBA menu we have 11 games, I will be picking a few players from each position. I am going to be using the same format that I used last night and see how that works with a full slate of games. If you have read my previous articles, thanks for coming back! If you’re new my columns, welcome glad to have you here. I am still looking for my own little style in this so I apologize for it not being the best thing you have read all week. Okay, let’s get to some NBA fantasy talk! My legend to how I rate the players goes as following, under “Shoot” I will have a player that I think is due for a good game. ”And 1” is a player that has a lower price with a high upside. The last one is ”Airball” is the player that I believe is going to have a tougher night due to the matchup.
Point Guard
Shoot: Ben Simmons (vs The Nets)
Coming into tonight’s game versus Brooklyn, Simmons salary is sub $9,000 at $8,900. With his 42.5 FPPG, he could be a solid play, in the first matchup against the Nets Simmons had 43.8 fantasy points. Brooklyn also is ranked 30th in OPRK against PG/SFs (Simmons is just a point guard in a small forward body). I think Simmons will have a nice game all around and for this price and given his matchup, I have him at this spot tonight.
And 1: Tony Parker (vs Pistons)
It is still so odd not seeing TP in a spurs jersey after all those years. He is now in a bench role taking a seat behind Kemba Walker who is having a stellar season. Parker has a DK salary of $4,100, Parker is putting up 19.7 FPPG in 19.5 minutes. When these two teams played in the first meeting this season, Parker had 33.8 fantasy points.
Honorable Mentions:
Airball: Darren Collison (vs Bucks)
Collison, in the game against Milwaukee earlier in the season, had 17.5 DK points with 27 minutes of playing time. His salary is priced at $6,700 which isn’t too high, the Bucks are ranked 3rd in OPRK to PGs.
Honorable Mentions: Russell Westbrook ($10,900), Stephen Curry ($9,800), Kemba Walker ($8,600)
Shooting Guard

Shoot: Luka Doncic (vs Hawks)
The 3rd overall pick out of Slovenia has exceeded expectations so far, given Dallas a bright spot one that this club hasn’t had for several years. Priced at $7,300 while averaging 34.9 FPPG, Doncic has a favorable matchup as well tonight versus Atlanta. In the previous game against the Hawks, Doncic finished with 38.8 DK points.
And 1: Iman Shumpert (@ Kings)
Coming in with a salary of $3,600, Shumpert is averaging 19.7 FPPG. The T-wolves rank 15th in OPRK against SG/SFs, in the first meeting of the two teams Shump, finished with 26 DK points.
Airball: Josh Richardson (@ Jazz)
Richardson, averaging 32.8 FPPG at a salary of $6,100. He has a tough matchup in Salt Lake City tonight as the Jazz rank 5th in OPRK. I am fading him due to the fact he put up 24.8 DK points when the teams played last.
Honorable Mentions: Donovan Mitchell ($6,600), Kris Middleton ($6,200), Tim Hardaway Jr ($6,800)
Small Forward
Shoot: Paul George (@ Pelicans)
George has been very consistent thus far in fantasy, averaging 47.3 FPPG. A salary of $9,000 is a great bargain for PG13, the Pelicans rank 27th in OPRK. Earlier in the season the first time the two teams match up, George finished with 52 DK points. Expecting him to finish around the same area, I think this is a more than favorable matchup for him.
And 1: Kent Bazemore (vs Mavericks)
The Hawks small forward is putting up 26.1 FPPG in the early part of this season. A salary at $5,500 is not a bad bargain at all, the Mavericks are 30th in OPRK and Bazemore filled the stat sheet last time they played with 53.8 DK points.
Airball: Jayson Tatum (@ Wizards)
The second-year forward is averaging 30.6 FPPG this season, his salary for tonight is $,6800. Washington however, is 2nd in OPRK coming into the game tonight. I do not have full confidence in Tatum from a fantasy perspective therefore, I’m fading him I am not a fan of this matchup.
Honorable Mentions: Kevin Durant ($9,600), Harrison Barnes ($6,200), Marcus Morris ($5,900)
Power Forward
Shoot Anthony Davis (Vs Thunder)
Davis is near on the top of the list with most FPPG, averaging 59.1 per contest. For tonight he has a price of $11,200, Davis has been on and off the bench this year with injury problems yet he still remains consistent when he is on the floor. Oklahoma City is ranked 15th in OPRK, even though they held the brow to just 31.0 DK points in the first meeting, I do not see it happening again.
And 1: Jerami Grant (@Pelicans)
Grant has a salary at the price of $4100, averaging 23.4 FPPG. In the first game against New Orleans earlier this season, Grant put up 28 fantasy points. Pelicans rank 26th OPRK, for this price I like the upside of this play.
Airball: Serve Ibaka (@Warriors)
Coming off in the second day of a back to back, Ibaka and the Raptors have to go pay a visit to the Warriors and company. Golden State is a tough matchup for Ibaka as they’re ranked 2nd in OPRK. Ibaka is priced at only $6,000 and averaging 30.9 FPPG if he was not coming off a game the night before I wouldn’t fade him but he is and it’s the warriors.
Honorable Mentions: Blake Griffin ($9,600), Julius Randle ($7,400), Draymond Green ($6,600)
Center
Shoot: Joel Embiid (vs Nets)
Averaging 53.5 FPPG, Embiids salary is $10,500 tonight against Brooklyn. This will be the third time the Sixers and Nets square off so far this year, in the previous two games Embiid averages 49.1 DK points. Being that the Nets are 30th in OPRK against the center position, I think Embiid has another big night.
And 1: Cody Zeller (vs Pistons)
Averaging 21.8 FPPG while on the floor for 24.3 minutes a game Zeller has a price of $4,400. In the previous game against Detroit, he managed 28.5 DK points. He has a favorable matchup again as the Pistons have a 27th ranked OPRK.
Airball: Myles Turner (vs Bucks)
At the price of $7,200, the Indiana center has an average of 28.9 FPPG. However, in the previous game against the Bucks, Turner finished with 17 DK points. Milwaukee is 6th in OPRK against centers with the Greek freak defending the rim.
Honorable Mentions: Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000), Andre Drummond ($8,700), Marc Gasol ($7,600)
