NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 12/1/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel advice. Thursday night’s main slate will only have six games on the schedule, so the value plays will be very important. Luckily, for you guys I’ve found just the right players that should make a positive difference in your FanDuel lineups.
So, here is my NBA DFS FanDuel advice for 12/1/16:
Point Guard
Top Play: Chris Paul, @ CLE ($9,100)
I just can’t get enough exposure to CP3 this season! The guy has been a dynamite addition to my lineups plenty of times and should be a must-start versus Kyrie Irving. Over their last five games, the Cavaliers have allowed an average of 55.0 FD points per outing to opposing point guards. If Blake Griffin can’t go once again for Los Angles, Paul will be one of the top overall plays. Just look at his last game without Griffin. Paul went for 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists for the Clippers.
Value Pick: Andrew Harrison, vs. ORL ($3,900)
This will without a doubt be a slow-paced matchup, so I won’t have a ton of exposure to it. Harrison’s price tag is just far too cheap, especially if Mike Conley sits out once again. In 2016, the Magic have been lackluster defensively versus opposing point guards, allowing an average of 44.3 FD points per outing. As I’m writing this, Harrison is killing it in the first half versus the Raptors, so keep your fingers crossed!
Other Options: Stephen Curry, Kemba Walker and Kyrie Irving
Shooting Guard
Top Play: James Harden, @ GSW ($11,300)
This will easily be the best game to target of the night, especially for your cash lineups. I’m expecting a ton of scoring and three-point shooting, so be ready for a plethora of fantasy points. Harden has been the best overall DFS player all year long and won’t be stopped on Thursday night. This year, Golden State has allowed a ton of points to opposing shooting guards, giving up an average of 36.7 FD points per contest to the position. With stat lines such as 28.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 11.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game, Harden is a lock for my lineups.
Value Pick: Eric Gordon, @ GSW ($5,000)
I’m going to talk about these Rockets players a lot in this article, so be ready. Houston shoots a ton of three-pointers and Golden State doesn’t defend the perimeter very well. If Gordon gets hot from behind the arc, he could become a hidden gem for this slate. In 2016, the Warriors have allowed an average of 104.9 points per game to their opponents and will have a hard time containing this Rockets squad.
Other Options: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson and Wesley Matthews

Small Forward
Top Play: Kevin Durant, vs. HOU ($10,200)
You just can’t go wrong with Durant in your lineups most nights, especially for Thursday’s main slate. He’ll be facing off against a fast-paced Rockets squad that will push the Warriors to their limits. Houston typically plays a super small lineup, so Durant should flourish in the rebounding category for this slate. So far this season, the Rockets have allowed an average of 38.4 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards.
Value Pick: Trevor Ariza, @ GSW ($5,200)
On a small slate like this one, a key value play could win you guys a ton of money. Well, I typically love a guy such as Ariza in a matchup like this one. Like I’ve already said a few times, Houston could possible launch 40+ three-point attempts against the Warriors and Ariza will be a big part of that. This season, he’s been fairly consistent for our lineups, averaging 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.0 steals per contest for his squad.
Other Options: LeBron James, Harrison Barnes and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Power Forward
Top Play: Kevin Love, vs. LAC ($8,300)
Love has been a super explosive DFS play as of late, making him borderline matchup proof! Yes, if Blake Griffin is back on the court for the Clippers this is a much tougher matchup. I still think that Cleveland will need a great game from their Big 3, so lock Love into your lineups. Kevin Love has looked absolutely revitalized in 2016, averaging 21.8 points and 10.9 rebounds in 31.4 minutes per game.
Value Pick: Frank Kaminsky, vs. DAL ($4,500)
I’m hoping for a bounce-back game from Kaminsky for this slate. He had a rough overall outing on Tuesday night where he only posted two points, three rebounds and three assists in a cake matchup versus the Pistons. For this slate, he’ll be facing off against a terrible overall Mavericks team that do tend to give up fantasy points to post players. Over their last five games, Dallas has allowed an average of 53.0 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards.
Other Options: Blake Griffin (if he plays), Draymond Green, Jabari Parker and Trevor Booker
Center
Top Play: Brook Lopez, vs. MIL ($7,300)
Wow, the Bucks are bad versus opposing post players this season! This year, Milwaukee has managed to give up an average of 47.9 FD points per game to opposing power forwards, making this a great spot to start Lopez. Thankfully, over his last two games Lopez has been getting plenty of minutes, so hopefully, that’s a good sign for Thursday night. I believe he’ll easily put up double-double numbers, so you’ll want him in a few lineups.
Value Pick: Clint Capela, @ GSW ($5,900)
Alright, you guys know I had to get one more Rocket into this article! Capela has been a super consistent value play all season long and should do well in this matchup. This year, he’s managed to average 12.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per contest for Houston. So far this season, Golden State has given up an average of 44.1 FD points per outing to opposing centers. Like I’ve said plenty of times, get some Rockets into your lineups for Thursday evening.
Other Options: Hassan Whiteside, DeAndre Jordan and Rudy Gobert
