NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 3/9/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 3/9/16 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a solid five-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guard

Top Play: Eric Bledsoe, vs. LAL ($8,900)

Yes, Russell Westbrook is the top play at point guard for this slate but I’d rather talk about a less obvious choice. So far this year, Bledsoe has managed to average 37.14 FD points per contest for his DFS owners. This season, he’s averaging 21.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.0 minutes per outing for the Suns. This year, the Lakers have allowed an average of 51.2 FD points per game to opposing point guards.

Value Option: Jordan Clarkson, @ PHO ($5,300)

Los Angeles’ coaching staff is finally unleashing all of their young talent, including my man Clarkson! In four of his last five games, Clarkson has scored 22+ FD points per contest for his loyal owners and draws a juicy matchup for Thursday. Over their last five games, the Suns have given up an average of 65.4 FD points per outing to opposing point guards. So far this season, Clarkson has averaged 14.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27.4 minutes per game for the Lakers.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: C.J. McCollum, vs. PHI ($7,000)

I really feel like McCollum could easily reach 6x value against a lackluster Philly defense for this slate. So far this year, the Sixers have allowed an average of 42.0 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. This season, McCollum has managed to average a cool 33.86 FD points per contest for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 23.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 34.5 minutes per outing for the Blazers.

Value Option: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, vs. CLE ($5,100)

I’m just not KCP’s biggest fan from a DFS perspective but I can’t deny his matchup for Thursday’s main slate. Over their last five games, the Cavaliers have given up an average of 49.0 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. So far this season, Caldwell-Pope is averaging 14.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 34.1 minutes per game for the Pistons. This year, he’s managed to average a nice 24.54 FD points per outing for his owners.

Small Forward

Top Play: Kawhi Leonard, @ OKC ($9,600)

Coming off a night of rest, Kawhi should be able to put up a monster fantasy effort versus OKC! So far this year, Leonard has managed to average an explosive 41.78 FD points per outing for his owners. This season, he’s averaging 25.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 33.3 minutes per game for the Spurs. This year, the Thunder have allowed an average of 41.3 FD points per game to opposing small forwards.

Value Option: Maurice Harkless, vs. PHI ($4,800)

I’m a huge fan of most of Portland’s starting lineup for this slate of games versus Philly! So far this season, Harkless has averaged 10.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 29.3 minutes per game for the Blazers. Over his last four games, he’s scored 21+ FD points per night for his owners and should excel in this matchup. Over their last five games, the Sixers have given up an average of 50.5 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards.

Power Forward

Top Play: Dario Saric, @ POR ($7,400)

With the lack of post players in Philly right now, Saric should be in line for another nice chunk of minutes on Thursday. So far this year, he’s averaging 11.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.2 minutes per game for the Sixers. This season, Saric has managed to average a smooth 22.08 FD points per outing for his loyal owners. This year, the Blazers have allowed an average of 46.8 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards.

Value Option: Al-Farouq Aminu, vs. PHI ($5,400)

Aminu is really a consistent fantasy option most nights and draws a great matchup for this slate of games. Over their last five games, the Sixers have given up an average of 49.3 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. So far this season, Aminu has managed to average a decent 22.36 FD points per game for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 8.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 29.7 minutes per game for the Blazers.

Center

Top Play: Jusuf Nurkic, vs. PHI ($6,500)

Like I said earlier, I love these Portland guys for this slate of games! So far this year, the Sixers have given up a league-worst 52.5 FD points per contest to opposing centers. This season, Nurkic has averaged 8.9 points and 6.1 rebounds and should dominate the glass for this slate. Over his last four games, Jusuf has scored 30+ FD points per night for his loyal DFS owners.

Value Option: Alan Williams, vs. LAL ($5,900)

Williams has been absolutely killing it lately for Phoenix! In four of his last six games, Williams has scored 33+ FD points per contest for his owners and draws a tasty matchup for Thursday evening. So far this season, the Lakers have allowed an average of 51.4 FD points per game to opposing centers.

Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 3/9/16 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
