NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 4/6/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 4/6/17 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a solid six-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guard

Top Play: Damian Lillard, vs. MIN ($9,000)

At this point in the season, you’ll want to target guys who are on teams that are in the playoff hunt. Well, Lillard is one of my favorite plays for this slate in a fantastic matchup. So far this year, the Wolves have allowed an average of 46.9 FD points per outing to opposing point guards. This season, Lillard is averaging 26.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 35.5 minutes per game for the Blazers. This year, he’s managed to average an explosive 44.1 FPPG for his loyal owners.

Value Pick: T.J. McConnell, vs. CHI ($5,600)

I really like some of these Philly value guys for Thursday’s main slate against a lackluster Chicago defense. So far this season, the Bulls have given up an average of 48.6 FD points per contest to opposing point guards. This year, McConnell has averaged 6.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.6 steals in 26.1 minutes per game for the Sixers. In four of his last five games, T.J. has received 34+ minutes per outing for his squad, so I’m expecting plenty of usage for him on Thursday evening.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, @ IND ($10,000)

I’m just not in love with any of the mid-tier shooting guard options for this slate, so I might find myself paying up for the Freak. So far this year, Antetokounmpo has managed to average a massive 48.7 FPPG for his DFS owners. This season, he’s averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 35.2 minutes per game for the Bucks. This year, the Pacers have allowed an average 41.5 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. Milwaukee is working hard to stay at the fifth seed in the East, so expect Freak to play plenty.

Value Pick: Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, vs. CHI ($5,600)

Like I said above, the Philly value guys could allow us to pay up for some of the bigger names for this slate of games. Over his last five games, Luwawu-Cabbarot has scored 24+ FPPG for his owners and draws a decent matchup for Thursday night versus the Bulls. So far this season, Chicago has given up an average of 39.3 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. Over this big five game span, Timothe has played 32+ minutes in every single outing.

Small Forward

Top Play: Paul George, vs. MIL ($9,100)

I like this game overall from a fantasy perspective because both teams are battling for playoff positioning, so there will be minutes for the starters. So far this year, George has managed to average a smooth 40 FPPG for his DFS owners. This season, he’s averaging 23.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 35.3 minutes per game for the Pacers. This year, the Bucks have allowed an average of 42.6 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. In three of his last five starts, George has scored 58+ FPPG for his owners.

Value Pick: Terrence Ross, vs. BKN ($5,100)

Ross is always a wild card fantasy play but will easily have the ability to put in around 6x value on Thursday night. So far this season, the Nets have given up a league-worst 46.9 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. In six of his last eight games, Ross has scored 28+ FPPG for his loyal owners. This year, he’s averaging 11.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 25.0 minutes per game for the Magic.

Power Forward

Top Play: Richaun Holmes, vs. CHI ($6,200)

With Dario Saric officially on a minutes restriction, Holmes’ value now increases dramatically! In three of his last four games, Richaun has scored 33+ FPPG for his owners and draws a nice matchup for this slate. So far this year, the Bulls have allowed an average of 43.6 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. This season, Holmes has averaged 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 block in 19.6 minutes per game for the Sixers.

Value Pick: Aaron Gordon, vs. BKN ($5,700)

I like to target this Brooklyn defense for DFS because they’re just so bad but their offense keeps the games close. So far this season, the Nets have given up an average of 47.6 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. This year, Gordon has averaged 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 28.3 minutes per game for the Magic. In two of his last three games, he’s scored 55+ FPPG for his owners, making him an intriguing start for Thursday.

Center

Top Play: Dwight Howard, vs. BOS ($7,500)

Targeting the Boston post defenders is always a fun DFS tactic in my opinion. So far this year, the Celtics have allowed an average of 48.7 FD points per contest to opposing centers. This season, Howard has managed to average a super solid 36.0 FPPG for his DFS owners. This year, he’s averaging 13.4 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 29.6 minutes per game for the Hawks.

Value Pick: Kyle O’Quinn, vs. WAS ($4,900)

It’s always very difficult trying to decide what the New York coaching staff is going to roll with from game to game. Well, if O’Quinn is going to receive 20+ minutes for his squad, he’ll be a nice value play for this slate. In his last games, Kyle went for eight points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in 27 minutes versus the Bulls. Over his last two games, O’Quinn has scored 25+ FPPG for his loyal owners. So far this season, the Wizards have given up an average of 47.8 FD points per outing to opposing centers.
