NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 1/27/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’ve got my NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for you guys for Wednesday’s slate! After doing a little research, I’ve discovered plenty of good value plays for this slate of games, so get your pen and paper out and take notes. Like always, all of my value plays will be at or under $6,000.
So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel advice for 1/27/16:
Point Guards
Marcus Smart, vs. Nuggets ($5,500)
Smart very well could be an intelligent play for Wednesday evening! Even though he has an elite player like Isaiah Thomas in front of him on the depth chart, he’s still finding ways to score plenty of DFS points. Over his last two games, Smart has averaged a solid 31.2 FD points and draws a great matchup for this slate. He’ll be taking on a Nuggets squad, who plays pretty much zero defense, allowing an average of 43.2 FD points per night to opposing point guards.
Archie Goodwin, vs. Cavs ($4,100)
Goodwin has been playing some stellar basketball lately for the Suns! Not only do I love his ultra-low price tag, he also will see plenty of usage since Phoenix has a plethora of injuries among their squad. So far this year, Cleveland has been mediocre defensively versus opposing point guards, allowing an average of 40.7 FD points per night to the position. So, if you’re once again looking to go cheap for your second point guard, look no further than Archie!
Shooting Guards
Rodney Hood, vs. Hornets ($5,600)
Hood has been a mystery all season long! Some weeks he just has it and others he’s one of the most irrelevant players on the court for the Jazz. I’m banking on the good Hood for this slate, so get him into your lineups! This year, he has averaged a cool 22.2 FD points per game and draws an extra tasty matchup on Wednesday night. He’ll be taking on a Charlotte squad, who have been plagued by injuries lately. So far this season, the Hornets have allowed an average of 35.4 FD points per night to opposing shooting guards.
Avery Bradley, vs. Nuggets ($5,500)
I like the potential fast-paced gameplay that is going to come from this game, which fits right into Bradley’s playing style. This year, he has averaged a consistent 23.2 FD points per contest and should have no problems at all producing against this porous Denver defense. This year, the Nuggets have been awful versus opposing shooting guards, allowing an average of 36 FD points per game to the position.
Small Forwards
Marcus Morris, vs. 76ers ($5,100)
This game is going to be a key one that contains some nice value options. Morris has been up and down lately, but should be able to produce a decent stat line versus the 76ers. In his first season with the Pistons, Morris has averaged a consistent 23.9 FD points per game and draws one of the best matchups in basketball on Wednesday night. This season, Philly has allowed a dreadful 38.3 FD points per night to opposing small forwards. His great matchup paired with his usage rate should equal a solid outing for Morris on Wednesday evening.
Power Forwards
Ersan Ilyasova, vs. 76ers ($5,100)

Like I said above, I love the Pistons for this slate! Ily hasn’t been the most consistent guy this season from a DFS standpoint, but I truly believe he’s going to get us five to six times his value for this slate! This year, he’s averaged a solid 21.4 FD points per game and will take on a horrible Sixers defense. So far this season, Philly has given up an average of 44.9 FD points per night to opposing power forwards, so it should be a good night for Ilyasova!
Jared Sullinger, vs. Nuggets ($5,600)
Like the Pistons, I really love the Celtics value guys for this slate of games! Sullinger has quietly been performing well lately for Boston and should have no problems at all being a nice value play on Wednesday. This year, he has averaged a cool 25.4 FD points per game and will take on a Nuggets squad, who has given up an average of 44.2 FD points this year to his position. If you’re looking to save a little cash for this slate, take a look at Sullinger.
Centers
Nikola Jokic, vs. Celtics ($5,300)
Jokic has looked extremely impressive over his last few games for Denver! Over his last two contests, Jokic has averaged an amazing 37.5 FD points. He actually scored 37.5 FD points in just 18 minutes a few nights ago! He’ll be going head-to-head against a Celtics team, who has allowed an average of 45.3 FD points per night to opposing centers this season. I’m most likely paying up for a center on FanDuel, but this guy could be a nice pivot option.
Salah Mejri, vs. Warriors ($3,900)
I’m writing this prior to the Mavericks game on Tuesday night, so I’m not completely sure what Zaza Pachulia’s status will be on Wednesday night. If Pachulia does once again miss playing time or is even limited, Mejri could be an insanely could value play for this slate. In two games this year where he’s received 25+ minutes, Mejri has averaged a solid 27.8 FD points per night. This year, Golden State hasn’t defended well against centers, giving up an average of 47.4 FD points per contest. Keep your eye on Pachulia’s status closer to game time!
