NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 3/2/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m finally back with some of my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for you all. Wednesday night’s slate is jam-packed full of 11 games on the schedule that should have plenty of nice options. Like always, my value picks will all be at or under $6,000, so let’s get started.
Here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel advice for 3/2/16:
Point Guards
D’Angelo Russell, vs. Nuggets ($5,300)
I’ve been waiting all season long for the Lakers to turn this kid loose on the basketball court. Over his last two games, Russell has averaged a cool 34.5 FD points per contest and will be taking on a terrible Nuggets defense for this slate. So far this season, Denver has been easily one of the worst defenses in the league, giving up an average of 42.3 FD points per night to opposing shooting guards. Russell is by far one of my favorite overall value plays for the entire slate!
Emmanuel Mudiay, vs. Lakers ($5,200)
Opposite Russell, Mudiay should also be in store for a nice night for Denver. Mudiay got off to an extra slow start at the beginning of the year but has finally been able to play some consistent basketball over the last month. This year, he has averaged a solid 23.5 FD points per game for the Nuggets and draws a tasty matchup for Wednesday evening. This season, the Lakers have allowed a league-worst 45.5 FD points per outing to opposing point guards, making them a great team to stream against.
Shooting Guards
Will Barton, vs. Lakers ($6,000)
There are some great value plays coming from this game! With Danilo Gallinari out for at least the next month, Denver will be looking for a guy such as Barton to fill the scoring void for the team. This season, he has averaged a consistent 27.3 FD points per night for his loyal DFS owners. He’ll be squaring off against a Los Angeles squad that has allowed a league-worst 37.5 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards this season.
Avery Bradley, vs. Blazers ($5,400)
I become a bigger Bradley fan with each week that passes by. The guy seems to really be a team player and always puts in a stellar effort every time he takes the floor. On Wednesday night, Bradley will be taking on a putrid Portland defense, who has allowed an average of 35.3 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards this year. So far this season, Bradley has been one of the most consistent players for Boston, averaging 23.5 FD points per outing.
Small Forwards
Matt Barnes, vs. Kings ($5,200)
This Grizzlies vs. Kings matchup should be an interesting one for this slate. The one thing that I don’t like about Barnes is that he could easily put in a terrible effort on any given night, but I love this matchup, so he’ll be in my lineups once again. Over his last two games, he has averaged 29.1 FD points per contest for us DFS owners and draws a stellar matchup for this slate. Over their last five games, the Kings have allowed an average of 44.4 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards.
Otto Porter, vs. Wolves ($5,100)

Porter didn’t live up to my lofty expectations on Monday night but I’m going to give him another shot for this slate. He’ll be facing off against a terrible Minnesota defense that has allowed an average of 44.7 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards this year. So far this season, Porter has been up and down for Washington, averaging 23.7 FD points per night for the team.
Power Forwards
Jabari Parker, vs. Pacers ($6,000)
Parker has been playing insanely well over the last few weeks for the Bucks! Over his last five games, he has averaged a cool 36.3 FD points per night for his loyal DFS owners. Parker draws an extra juicy matchup for this slate of games against an Indiana squad, who has allowed an average of 43.1 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards this season. Parker is by far my favorite value option of the night and can be used in all formats.
Ryan Anderson, vs. Rockets ($5,800)
Anderson’s DFS value will rely on Anthony Davis’ game status on Wednesday night. Even if Davis plays, I think Anderson still holds value, but if he misses, don’t have a lineup without this guy. So far this season, Anderson has averaged a solid 26.3 FD points per contest for New Orleans, but when Davis misses games he typically has some huge performances. This year, the Rockets have been a terrible overall defensively, allowing a league-worst 45.7 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards.
Centers
Mason Plumlee, vs. Celtics ($5,200)
I don’t love really any value plays for this slate except for Plumlee. The thing with this guy is that you’re never going to get a monstrous DFS performance from him, but he’ll give you consistent stats almost every time, though. This year, Plumlee has averaged 23.8 FD points per game for Portland. Over their last five games, the Celtics have been awful versus opposing centers, giving up an average of 54.1 FD points per contest to the position.
