NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 3/30/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays! Wednesday night’s slate contains a nice nine games on the schedule that shouldn’t disappoint us avid DFS players. There are a plethora of talented value options to choose from for this slate, so let’s break it down. Like always, all of my value plays will be at or under $6,000.
So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for 3/30/16:
Point Guards
Shelvin Mack, vs. Warriors ($5,900)
Mack has been a solid DFS option over the last month for Utah! In eight of his last ten games, he has scored 20+ FD points per night for his owners and draws a decent matchup for Wednesday night. He’ll be squaring off against a Golden State squad that has given up an average of 41.9 FD points per contest to point guards this year. With Utah in the Western Conference playoff race, I expect Mack to see plenty of time on the court for this slate.
J.J. Barea, vs. Knicks ($5,000)
This pick is all based on whether or not Deron Williams takes the floor for Dallas. If he doesn’t, then Barea should once again be a nice DFS value play. In three of his last four games, he has scored 24+ FD points per contest for Dallas and should have no problems against this weak Knicks defense. This season, New York has been a lackluster defensive squad, allowing an average of 41.3 FD points per outing to opposing point guards.
Shooting Guards
Josh Richardson, vs. Lakers ($5,100)
Richardson has been seeing plenty of playing time as of late for Miami and draws a tasty matchup for this slate. He’ll be facing off against a Lakers team that has allowed a league-worst 38.2 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards this season. In two of his last three games, Richardson has posted 31+ FD points per night for his fantasy owners, so give him a look for Wednesday evening.
Wesley Matthews, vs. Knicks ($4,900)
Dallas has had a rather thin roster lately, making Matthews a decent DFS option. He’s played some great basketball ever since Chandler Parsons was lost for the season. Over his last five games, Matthews has averaged a cool 27.6 FD points per outing for his loyal DFS owners. He’ll be facing off against a subpar New York defense, who has given up an average of 34.7 FD points per contest to shooting guards this season.
Small Forwards
Otto Porter, vs. Kings ($5,500)
Porter has been drawing some great matchups lately! He’ll be going head-to-head with an ultra-bad Sacramento defense for this slate. So far this year, the Kings have allowed an average of 37 FD points per night to opposing small forwards. This season, Porter has been somewhat of a solid fantasy option for the Wizards, averaging 23.3 FD points per game for his owners.
P.J. Tucker, vs. Bucks ($4,700)

Tucker just isn’t an attractive overall option but on most nights he just seems to get the job done. In nine of his last ten games, he has played 27+ minutes per contest for the Suns, which makes him a super viable value option on most nights. Over their last five games, Milwaukee has given up an average of 40.9 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. Tucker won’t go out and win you a tourney, but he will be a nice building block to a consistent lineup.
Power Forwards
Luol Deng, vs. Lakers ($6,000)
Deng has cooled off a bit here lately but a date with a bad Lakers defense could be just the type of game that he needs. Over their last five games, Los Angeles has allowed an average of 46 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. So far this year, Deng has averaged a cool 23.3 FD points per night for the Heat and should be able to take advance of this stellar matchup.
Willie Cauley-Stein, vs. Wizards ($5,000)
WCS is easily one of my favorite value plays of this slate, especially if DeMarcus Cousins misses another game. Over his last three games, Cauley-Stein has averaged a massive 34.8 FD points per contest for Sacramento and will draw an extra juicy matchup for Wednesday evening. He’ll be taking on a mediocre Wizards defense, who have allowed an average of 39.9 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards this season.
Centers
Greg Monroe, vs. Suns ($5,800)
Monroe’s price tag continues to plummet to the point where he is now a DFS value play. Well, I’ll consider taking advantage of this low price in a few of my lineups potentially for this slate. So far this year, Monroe has averaged a solid 31.7 FD points per contest for the Bucks and should be able to hold his own against the Suns. Over their last five games, Phoenix has given up an average of 48.8 FD points per night to opposing centers.
Rudy Gobert, vs. Warriors ($5,800)
Like Monroe, Gobert has seen his price tag dramatically decrease due to his inconsistency problems. This year, he’s averaged a cool 28.7 FD points per night for the Jazz but has the ability to score much more with the right matchup. Over their last five games, Golden State has given up an average of 52.6 FD points per contest to opposing centers. I expect Gobert to be able to dominate the glass against a guy like Andrew Bogut, so he could very well be a key value play for this slate.
