NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 4/13/16

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays! It’s officially the last night of the season, so let’s have some fun! Wednesday night’s slate contains a massive 14 games on the schedule that shouldn’t disappoint us avid DFS players. There are a plethora of talented value options to choose from for this slate, so let’s break it down. Like always, all of my value plays will be at or under $6,000.

So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for 4/13/16:

Point Guards

Seth Curry, vs. Rockets ($6,100)

I know, I know most of my value picks are under $6,000 but I can’t deny Curry’s stellar play lately. He’s coming off a monster game against the Suns where he scored a huge 50.1 FD points. In five of his last six games, Curry has scored 24+ FD points per contest for the Kings and will be taking on a lackluster Rockets defense. Over their last five games, Houston has given up an average of 44 FD points per night to opposing shooting guards. If both Rajon Rondo and Darren Collison sits out once again for Sacramento, get this kid into your lineups.

Shelvin Mack, vs. Lakers ($5,600)

Mack is another potential awesome value play at point guard for Wednesday night. In seven of his last eight games, he has scored 20+ FD points per outing for the Jazz and will be facing off against a horrible Lakers defense. This season, Los Angeles has allowed a league-worst 45.3 FD points per game to opposing point guards. With the Jazz fighting for their playoff lives, I expect guys like Mack to see plenty of playing time.

Shooting Guards

Zach LaVine, vs. Pelicans ($5,500)

LaVine isn’t the most trustworthy DFS option at times but I like him for this slate. Over their last five games, the Pelicans have allowed a massive 47.6 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards, so this is a great matchup to take advantage of LaVine’s cheap price tag. This season, he has averaged a cool 22 FD points per game for Minnesota, so he does hold decent value.

Rodney Hood, vs. Lakers ($5,400)

Hood is a lot like LaVine when it comes to inconsistency but he too has a stellar matchup. He’ll be taking on a horrible Lakers squad, who have given up a league-worst 39.1 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards this year. Last time out against Los Angeles, Hood played 29 minutes, scored a nice 35.6 FD points. I would consider Hood to be one of my favorite value options of this slate.

Small Forwards

Evan Fournier, vs. Hornets ($5,800)

Fournier really seems to flourish when Victor Oladipo sits out for Orlando. Oladipo is still dealing with a concussion and could very well be held out of this contest, so Fournier could be a great option. This season, he’s averaged a consistent 23.5 FD points per night for Orlando and will be taking on a mediocre Hornets defense. This year, Charlotte has allowed an average of 35.2 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards.

Nikola Mirotic, vs. 76ers ($5,200)

Mirotic makes this list by default because there just aren’t many guys left standing in Chicago. With big men such as Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah done for the season, someone has to step up for the Bulls. In his last game, Mirotic saw 37 minutes, scoring a decent 29.3 FD points. Over their last five games, the Sixers have given up an average of 41.2 FD points per night to opposing small forwards.

Power Forwards

Mirza Teletovic, vs. Clippers ($6,000)

Mirza has been rock solid over the past couple of weeks for Phoenix and I expect another great effort for this slate. Over his last three games, Teletovic has averaged a massive 33 FD points per contest for the Suns and should be able to take advantage of a decent matchup against the Clippers. This season, Los Angeles has allowed an average of 40.6 FD points per game to opposing power forwards. With Tyson Chandler potentially out, I expect Teletovic to get plenty of playing time on Wednesday evening.

Willie Cauley-Stein, vs. Rockets ($5,600)

This pick will all come down to whether or not guys such as DeMarcus Cousins and Rondo will be playing for the Kings. I don’t expect them to, so I like WCS for this slate. In four of his last six games, Cauley-Stein has played 30+ minutes per night for Sacramento. He’ll be going head-to-head with a Rockets squad, who have given up an average of 44.4 FD points per game to opposing power forwards this season.

Centers

Mason Plumlee, vs. Nuggets ($5,800)

There aren’t a ton of big time value options at center for this slate. Plumlee has been a go-to option for me this season because he’s fairly consistent and always cheap. This year, he’s averaged a cool 24.1 FD points per game for the Blazers and draws a juicy matchup for this slate. This season, the Nuggets haven’t defended well whatsoever against opposing centers, allowing an average of 45.1 FD points per contest to the position.

Ian Mahinmi, vs. Bucks ($5,100)

Mahinmi has been a consistent DFS option over the past few months for us all, so let’s take one last look at him. This season, he’s averaged a solid 22.6 FD points per game for Indiana and will be facing off against a terrible Bucks defense on Wednesday night. Over their last five games, Milwaukee has given up an average of 58.1 FD points per outing to opposing centers.
