NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 4/6/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays! Wednesday night’s slate contains a nice eight games on the schedule that shouldn’t disappoint us avid DFS players. There are a plethora of talented value options to choose from for this slate, so let’s break it down. Like always, all of my value plays will be at or under $6,000.
So, here’s my NBA DSF FanDuel value plays for 4/6/16:
Point Guards
J.J. Barea, vs. Rockets ($5,900)
Barea has absolutely been in the zone for the Mavericks over the last week! Over his last four games, he has averaged a massive 37 FD points per night for Dallas and should be back in the starting lineup for this slate. Yes, Patrick Beverley is a tough defensive matchup but I feel like Barea still holds relevant value. So far this season, Houston has allowed an average of 40.7 FD points per contest to opposing point guards.
Shane Larkin, vs. Wizards ($4,500)
If you’re looking to go even cheaper than Barea, take a hard look at Larkin. In six of his last seven games, he has scored 22+ FD points per outing for the Nets and should be able to take advantage of this decent matchup on Wednesday evening. Over their last five games, the Wizards have given up an average of 46.1 FD points per contest to opposing point guards, making Larkin a sneaky DFS option.
Shooting Guards
Avery Bradley, vs. Pelicans ($5,800)
I can’t tell you guys how much I enjoy watching Bradley play basketball. There’s just something about him that really seems like he truly loves his job! So far this year, Bradley has averaged a cool 23.8 FD points per night for the Celtics. Over their last five games, New Orleans has allowed an average of 38.4 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. Coming off a rest night due to the birth of his child, Bradley should be ready to go for our lineups!
Wesley Matthews, vs. Rockets ($5,100)
Matthews has boom or bust potential but I love this matchup from a DFS standpoint. He’ll be going head-to-head with one of the worst perimeter defenders in the NBA today in James Harden. Over their last five games, Houston has given up an average of 38.5 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. Over his last eight games, Matthews has played 33+ minutes and scored 20+ FD points per contest for the Mavericks.
Small Forwards
Trevor Ariza, vs. Mavericks ($5,600)
There are a plethora of value plays coming from this pivotal game that could decide some playoff seedings. This season, Ariza has been a consistent DFS option at his position, averaging a solid 24.6 FD points per night for the Rockets. So far this year, Dallas has been lackluster defensively, giving up an average of 34.3 FD points per game to small forwards. As soon as Chandler Parsons was shut down for the year, Dallas’ defense has taken a bit of a hit, so I expect a high scoring affair potentially.
Otto Porter, vs. Nets ($5,400)

I haven’t been the biggest supporter of Otto this season but he’s starting to grow on me a bit. He’s been much more consistent lately, averaging a solid 23.4 FD points per outing for the Wizards this year. He’ll be squaring off against one of the worst defensive squads in the league in Brooklyn, who have allowed an average of 35.8 FD points per game to opposing small forwards this season.
Power Forwards
Thomas Robinson, vs. Wizards ($6,000)
I know, I know Robinson’s price tag is beginning to be too high for value play status, but you just can’t go wrong with playing him lately. Over his last four games, he has averaged a big 32.8 FD points per contest for his DFS owners and should have no problems against a mediocre Washington defense. So far this season, the Wizards have given up an average of 40.1 FD points per game to opposing power forwards.
Jared Sullinger, vs. Pelicans ($5,600)
Sullinger isn’t really the model of consistency, but in the proper matchup, he could be a big addition to your lineups. This year, he has averaged a cool 26.1 FD points per outing for the Celtics and draws a juicy matchup for Wednesday evening. Over their last five games, the Pelicans have allowed an average of 44.6 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. I’m predicting a great night coming Sullinger’s way, hopefully.
Centers
Robin Lopez, vs. Hornets ($5,900)
If Lopez is on the court for New York, then he’s most likely going to make my value plays article. He’s been an ultra-consistent fantasy play all season long, averaging a solid 22.8 FD points per night for his loyal DFS owners. Over their last five games, the Hornets have given up an average of 49 FD points per outing to opposing centers, so Lopez will have the potential to put in a great stat line.
Alexis Ajinca, vs. Celtics ($4,300)
I’m writing this prior to the finish of New Orleans’ game on Tuesday night but right now Ajinca his having a decent showing. Over his last three games, he’s averaged 27 FD points per contest for the Pelicans and should be a great play against Boston’s porous post defenders. So far this year, the Celtics have been awful versus opposing centers, allowing an average of 47.7 FD points per game to the position.
