NBA DFS FanDuel Lineup Advice (11/11/2016)

Friday night in the NBA features a solid eight-game slate of action featuring a lot of big names especially at the point guard position with players such as Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul and John Wall to choose from. There is also quite a bit of value on the board already with more to certainly open up before tipoff.

So, with that here are my FanDuel player recommendations for the Friday slate…

NBA DFS FanDuel lineup advice for November 11

Point Guards

Top Play:

John Wall (WAS) $9,000

Wall is expected to sit out either Friday or Saturday’s game. While I expect it to be on Saturday if he sits out Friday then look to pivot to Chris Paul as the top play at point guard. Assuming Wall plays on Friday against the Cavaliers he will be in a favorable matchup against a Cavs team that has allowed above average production to opposing PG in points (+20.3%), rebounds (+9.5%) and assists (+8.0%).

Value Pick:

Jeff Teague (IND) $6,300

Teague will play the second straight game against the 76ers after having a season-best game on Thursday with 30 points and nine assists. Priced at just $6,300, Teague represents solid value and while he might struggle to reach the 50+ FanDuel points he produced in his last game, he should get at least 5x his value.

Other Options: Chris Paul $9,300; Kemba Walker (CHA) $8,100; Derrick Rose $6,200;

Shooting Guards

Top Pick:

DeMar DeRozen (TOR) $ 9,000

DeRozen has started the season on fire scoring 32 or more points in six out of seven games this season. While his peripheral stats are limited he should be able to produce another big scoring night against the Hornets who have allowed 5.7% more points to opposing shooting guards this season.

Value Pick:

Avery Bradley (BOS) $6,900

Bradley has been very consistent this season playing at least 34 minutes in every game and averaging 35.9 FanDuel points per game which is already 5x his salary on Friday night. He also will get a plus matchup against the Knicks who have allowed more points (+3.9%) and rebounds (+15.1%) to opposing shooting guards this season. Look for Bradley post this fourth double-double of the season.

Other Options: CJ McCollum (POR) $7,100; Rodney Hood $5,400; Monta Ellis $5,300;

Small Forwards

Top Pick:

Carmelo Anthony (NY) $7,700

Anthony faces a Celtics team that is struggling on the defensive end of the court allowing 118+ points in each of their last three games. Meanwhile, Anthony has scored at least 19 points in every game this season and is averaging 40 FanDuel points over this last three games. Anthony doesn’t cost as much as the other top SF on the slate but could match their output.

Value Pick:

C.J. Miles (IND) $4,400

Miles is averaging a career-high 15.3 points per game this season while averaging just 22 minutes per game. If he can match the 32 minutes he played in the previous game against the 76ers he could smash value priced at just $4,400.

Other Options: Kawhi Leonard (SA) $8,900; Gordon Hayward (UTH) $7,400; Robert Covington (PHI) $4,700

Power Forwards

Top Pick:

Kristaps Porzingis (NY) $6,900

Porzingis has been on a roll over his last three games averaging 25.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He comes at a reasonable price and gets a favorable matchup against the Celtics who have allowed more points (+25.1%), rebounds (+13.3%) and assists (+19.2%) to opposing power forwards.

Value Pick:

Ersan Ilyasova (PHI) $3,600

Ilyasova’s production has been inconsistent since joining the 76ers but he has been getting at least 20 minutes per game and could get increased minutes and production in the first game of a back-to-back with either Jahlil Okafor or Joel Embiid getting the day off.

Other Options: Blake Griffin (LAC) $8,700; Kevin Love (CLE) $7,500; Derrick Favors (UTH) $5,900

Centers

Top Pick:

Demarcus Cousins (SAC) $9,500

Cousins doesn’t need a good matchup to be productive but with a favorable matchup against the Trail Blazers who allow more points (+14.5%) and rebounds (+17.5%) to opposing centers this season, he could produce a huge game.

Value Pick:

Joel Embiid (PHI) $5,200

Either Embiid or Jahlil Okafor could be held out of Friday’s game for rest making whoever is in the lineup as a good potential value play at center. Embiid has been very productive on a per minutes basis averaging 29.6 FanDuel points per game while just averaging 21.4 minutes per game this season. He will get a plus matchup against the Pacers who just gave up 15 points in 24 minutes to Okafor on Wednesday.

Other Options: Myles Turner (IND) $6,800; Marcin Gortat (WAS) $6,000; Joakim Noah (NY) $4,300
