I’m back from my one day hiatus. I took a day off because of the 2 game slate, but today the NBA is back with 12 games on the docket. I’m just starting to dig-in on this slate, and I can tell you already, I’m totally fading the Utah Memphis game. The final score in that game might end up being 12-6.
Another thing I noticed right away was the depth at point guard. There are 7 or 8 point guards that could make a legitimate case for the Top Ten. I wish we could get rid of one shooting guard slot and add another point guard. There is tons of value tonight as well, and some very good match-ups overall.
I don’t want to jinx myself, but I’m riding a hot streak right now, going on 4 days of positive gains. Still too early to tell how things will end tonight, but so far it looks pretty good. Let’s get to the Top Ten…
Today’s Top Ten Plays
10) C Nikola Vucevic $8600 There isn’t a ton of statical reasons to take Vucevic tonight, having had 2 straight sub-par games, but I like him tonight anyway. It’s not a horrible match-up, but not a great one either. I guess this is more of a gut call than anything.
9) C Enes Kanter $7400 Kanter may be the best value in my Top Ten tonight. At only $7400, his baseline value is about 33 Fanduel Points. Against a very weak defense in Sacramento, he should reach that easy. The Thunder have to win games to get the 8th spot back, and Kanter will go a long way to making that happen. I’m looking for a strong double double from him. Something in the range of 25 and 15.
8) SG James Harden $11400 I had Harden ranked pretty low last night, and I don’t think I had him low enough. He ended up with only 33 Fanduel Points, and tonight he gets to play the same team. He still makes the Top Ten because I think he’ll be better tonight, but it’s a big risk. I’d play him in a GPP only.

7) SF Andrew Wiggins $7500 As I mentioned yesterday, Wiggins has a high floor. He has only one game under 25 in his last 10, and that game was 10 games ago. So 9 straight games over 25, with three 40+ games, and a good match-up with the 7th worst team defending small forwards in the Lakers, makes him the number 7 play today.
6) SG DeMar DeRozan $8600 Dede has been playing well lately, with 3 straight games in which he flirted with 40 Fanduel Points, surpassing it once. Orlando isn’t know for great defense, and DeMar will carry Toronto again offensively. I’m expecting him to be over 40 tonight.
5) PG Elfrid Payton $8000 Flirted with a triple double against Chicago last game out, and could very well do it again tonight. He may not win ROY, Wiggins will, but he might win my FROY award. Fanduel Rookie of the Year. His fantasy upside is higher than Wiggins, that’s why he checks in at 5 tonight. He would probably be higher on this list if the point guard position wasn’t as deep as it is.
4) PG Tyreke Evans $8000 Speaking of depth at point guard, Tyreke checks in at number 4 tonight. He had some tough match-ups in his last 2 games. Memphis and Golden State made him work for everything. Tonight he gets the Suns and he should be able to put up big numbers in a huge game for the Pelicans. They are fighting for that number 8 seed and the right to be swept by Golden State, Tyreke and Davis will need to carry them.
3) SF Kawhi Leonard $8500 He is one of the few Spurs that don’t take rest days so I expect him to play big minutes tonight. I expect Houston to play this game a little closer than they did in San Antonio, so Kawhi will be doing his typical all-round thing. He could push for 50 tonight.
2) PG Russell Westbrook $12300 Westbrook is the 3rd point guard in the Top 5 tonight, and one could argue he should be number 1. He has a great match-up with the Kings, in a must win situation, Westbrook will come out firing. I expect him to push for 55+.
1) PF Anthony Davis $11900 The low scoring out put versus Memphis brought Davis’s price under 12k for the first time in a while. The Pelicans need to keep winning to stave off the Thunder, and they will lean heavily on the big man tonight. We could see Westbrook and Davis both go over 60 tonight, as their teams battle for the 8th spot in the West.

- PG Tony Parker $5600 He had 32 Fanduel Points versus them just 2 nights ago, as long as he plays, he is a good price.

- C Justin Hamilton 5000 Great match-up.
- PG Zach LaVine $6100 Price is rising, but still a good play.

- Entire Utah Team $$$ Bad match-up with Memphis.
- Entire Memphis Team $$ Bad match-up with Utah.
Punts of the Night
- SF OJ Mayo $4500 Has had a few down games, but New York could change that.
- SG Ben McLemore $4200 I’ll like him more if Gay is ruled out.
- SF Omri Casspi $4500 I’ll like him more if Gay is ruled out.
- PF Louis Scola $4300 I’ll like him more if. Has a good match-up with a bad Detriot interior. Could get you a low-end double double.
- PF Mike Muscala $4200 His price tag will go up if Milsap remains out.
- PF Derrick Williams $4000 Had him on this list before the news that Boogie was out, now I really like him.
- PF Jason Thompson $4700 With Boogie out, he becomes a great play.
