NBA Fanduel Line-up Advice and Analysis for 4/7/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
NBA Games 4/7/15

Feels good to be back! I feel like I haven’t played Fanduel or written a post in weeks, though it’s only been a few days. I did risk the 2 day Fanduel NBA games, and so far so good. Lillard, Deron Williams, Lopez, and Thad Young were all in my line-ups, now if everyone on Tuesday plays well, I might be able to cash.

I’m going on 3 days straight of positive gains, though Saturday night was literally only $1 positive, it’s still better than negative. Hope everyone had a good weekend, and are ready for the games on today’s slate. With 6 games on the docket, there is a good mix of values and studs to choose from. So let’s jump right into it….

Today’s Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Klay Thompson

10) SG Klay Thompson $7200 Klay had one of his worst, if not thee worst, outputs of the season last game, and that’s the exact reason why he makes the Top Ten tonight. Players like Klay don’t like having bad games, and tend to be super aggressive the next time out. Not to mention, the Pelicans struggle defending the shooting guard position, even if the numbers don’t support that, as a Pels fan, I can tell you we have trouble with shooting guards. I also don’t expect Kerr to limit minutes or rest players due to the fact that this could be their first round opponent. They will want to send a message, and won’t want to give the Pelicans any confidence if they end up as the 8th seed.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Andrew Wiggins

9) SF Andrew Wiggins $7000 Wiggins isn’t a flashy play, but he is a pretty safe one. He has a pretty high floor, and the Kings will offer up little resistance. I’m expecting 30+ from him tonight, and his price isn’t going to kill you. Great cash game play.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Kawhi Leonard

8) SF Kawhi Leonard $8100 Anyone who rostered Leonard the other night were pretty happy with the results, dude had 7 steals! The Thunder aren’t exactly known for taking care of the ball either, Westbrook himself can be a turnover machine, so I expect Kawhi to contribute again in that category. He won’t get 7 again, but I’ll take 3 or 4 combined with his scoring and rebounding. Expect Kawhi to be high 30’s low 40’s tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Kemba Walker

7) PG Kemba Walker $7900 He had a tough go versus the Pacers the other night, but bounced back pretty well against the 76ers. The Heat have recently given up 50 and 40 Fanduel points to Reggie Jackson and Kyrie Irving respectively. Kemba may not quite be on the level with those guys, but he is very capable of doing damage versus the defense of Goran Dragic. He’ll push for 40+ tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
DeAndre Jordan

6) C DeAndre Jordan $9000 It’s been a while since I’ve put Jordan in the Top Ten, but I think his price has come down enough that he offers the upside to warrant the 6th spot. At 9K his baseline value is about 40 Fanduel points, which he can easily get. He had 37 against the Lakers in his last game and that was a blow-out. I expect the Lakers to make this a closer game. Why do I think that? Anytime you play the same team twice so close together, you’re more familiar with them, and they are fresh in your mind, this allows you to counter what worked for them last time. If the Lakers can keep it close Jordan has 50+ point upside.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Russell Westbrook

5) PG Russell Westbrook $12300 If this were a 12 game slate or a 4 game slate, Russell would be number one. On a 12 game slate, it’s easier to fit him in your line-up because there is so much value. On a 4 game slate, he is by far the best option, and therefore, a must own. On a 6 game slate, like tonight, his $12300 salary is little hard to fit in. Yes, there is value, but there are also point guards that are cheaper and give you so much more flexibility with your line-up. It’s a decent match-up, but I just couldn’t put him at number 1 with that price tag.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Steph Curry

4) PG Steph Curry $9800 As I said when talking about Klay, this is a potential first round match-up, the Warriors will want to send a message, and Curry will be the one in charge of delivering it. Being under 10K, Curry is a steal, he is capable of putting up Westbrook’ian type numbers for more than 2 grand less.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Anthony Davis

3) PF Anthony Davis $12000 The power forward position tonight is petty shallow, thus the reason I’m willing to pay his price tag but leery on Westbrook’s. Outside of Blake Griffin, there isn’t anyone that could have Brow type numbers. Whereas both Curry and Chris Paul are capable of putting up Westbrook like numbers for far less. Anthony Davis is a match-up nightmare for every team, but with the smallish Golden State Warriors, who are bottom 5 versus power forward, Davis should dominate. Davis missed the last 2 match-ups with Golden State, but in the one he did play, he had 63.8 Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
Chris Paul

2) PG Chris Paul $11000 As I said when talking up DeAndre, I expect the Lakers to hang around in this game and Chris will benefit. He had 37 Fanduel points, in 30 minutes, in a blow-out last game versus this same Lakers team. He’ll eclipse 50 tonight, mark it down.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 4/7/15
DeMarcus Cousins

1) C DeMarcus Cousins $12300 Let me channel my inner geek on this one. Picture Anthony Davis as an Orc from Lord of the Rings and the Golden State Warriors as Humans. In that analogy, Cousins is a Cave Troll and the the Timberwolves are Hobbits. Anytime you have four 70 point games in your last 6 you’re going to be number one. In the words of Gandalf to the Timberwolves “Fly you fools!”.

Honorable Mentions

  • SG Dwyane Wade $7300
  • PF Blake Griffin $7300
  • SF Draymond Green $7300

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Zach LaVine $5700 Good match-up, good price, exactly what you want.
  • SF Chase Budinger $5300 Tons of great value from this game. Good match-up and has flirted with 30 Fanduel points a few times in his last 10.
  • PF Marvin Williams $5100 Pretty much your best value at power forward now.
  • C Brandan Wright $4900 Tough matchup, but so was Golden State and Utah and he still had over 30 in each.

Passes of the Night

  • SG Eric Bledsoe $8100 Can’t ever trust him and this is a tough matchup.
  • PG Tyreke Evans $8000 Strictly matchup based. In three games this year, he has 12, 58, and 25. The 12 is when he got injured, and the 58 is without Davis, so who knows what to expect.
  • PG Jordan Clarkson $7700 The Chris Paul effect.

Punts of the Night

  • PF Robert Kelly $4200 He was decent game against them last game.
  • SG Ben McLemore $4300 With Gay out he has really picked up his game. Good match-up.
  • C Bismack Biyombo $4100 Pretty much a must start at that price and this matchup.
  • SF Omri Casspi $4000 Strictly match-up based and volume, he could trip into 28 Fanduel points.

That wraps up today’s post. If i have time today I will put up a new CVP Chart. I’ve been slacking on it. I’ll try as well to put up a new “Things You Should Know” segment.
