NBA Fanduel Lineup 2/25/15
Games are still going on, but it looks my lineup is another near miss night for the GPP I played in. Four game slates are so difficult. You miss on one player, and you pretty much are out, and Stuckey let me down. How you go from back to back 40 Fanduel Point nights to 14 is beyond me. Scola also could have been better.
After a strong start post All-Star game, I’ve had a couple bad ones in a row now. I’ll get back on track, and trying to look at the positives, I’m still in the green for the month, though the last few days have brought down some.
Tonight’s slate is MUCH more attractive. Doing my preliminary research I had a hard time choosing who would be in my Top Ten, and the Dunks list is pretty extensive tonight. With 12 games on the docket, I’ll be playing in cash games, with a GPP or 2 mixed in. As always, I’ll post what I think is my best lineup, and feel free to ask me any questions you have. So let’s get to it.
Check out my Cost Versus Production Chart for 2/25/15:
NBA Fanduel CVP Chart 2/25/15
Tonight’s Top 10 Plays
10) PG Michael Carter-Williams $8700 Putting him at number 10 tonight assuming we get clarification on his status before the game starts. If he is inserted into the starting lineup, then he is in my lineup, if not, then he is more of a punt play in a GPP. The potential is there for 40 Fanduel Points. Check his status though before rolling him out there.
9) SG Eric Bledsoe $8400 Bledsoe is one of those guys that sometimes when he has a great matchup, he has an awful game, and then on the flip side will have a huge game versus a terrible matchup. Point and case, he had 50 versus Memphis and then a few weeks later put up 25 versus Minnesota. With that said, you can’t avoid the good matchups altogether, and he has one tonight. The pace of this game is going to be ridiculous and I expect it to be high scoring. Bledsoe will have ample opportunity to put up a ton of points.

8) PG Goran Dragic $6300 Goran’s price is low right now because of how he was being used in Phoenix, and then his first game in Miami, but let us not forget he is one of the better point guards in the league, and he reminded us of that last time out with 41 Fanduel Points. He has a great matchup with Orlando, and at that price he can’t be ignored. Use him before his price goes up, it’ll rise quickly.
7) SG James Harden $11,100 Any Top Ten without Harden in it can’t be consider a Top Ten, but why so low? His price tag and his matchup. Last time he played the Clippers he had one of his worst outings in recent memory. Granted, this one is in Houston and it’s not game 2 of a back to back, but he always seems to struggle versus them, he only had 32 in their previous matchup. The other detractor is his price, that’s a lot of money to throw down, and if he doesn’t get you 60, the rest of your lineup will be severely handicapped. On the other hand, it’s James Harden and he might get you 70.
6) C DeAndre Jordan $9200 He had a monster game against them last time, a whopping 59 Fanduel Points, the detractor though is he has to score in the 20’s to get you that value. He did just that in the 2 games in which he got 50+ versus San Antonio and the Rockets. What did those 2 games have in common? Hack a Jordan. I don’t know if you can expect them to use that tactic again, and if they do, does Doc Rivers keep him in the game. I’ll be more conservative with an expectation of 40 Fanduel Points, which you’ll still be happy with.
5) PF Paul Milsap $7600 His price came down a bit after under underperforming for 3 straight games, then he had a 49 point night versus the Bucks. I pointed him out in my Top Ten versus the Bucks because of their rebounding numbers and said Milsap would get 12-15. He got 16. Well Dallas is almost as bad as the Bucks giving up 13.75 over their last 3 weeks. Bucks were at 13.88. Milsap to have another 12-15 rebounds and will score low to mid 20’s.
4) C Al Horford $8200 see Paul Milsap
3) PG Ricky Rubio $6900 How good has this guy been over his last 3 games? How about 38, 41, and 38 Fanduel Points? Gets a Washington team on game 2 of a back to back, and a team struggling defensively. I’ve said it before, but Rubio is a guy that doesn’t have to score to get you value. He is a triple double threat every night. His price will go over 7,500K sooner rather than later. Jump on it.
2) PF Pau Gasol $9300 Just got the news, Derrick Rose to have another surgery on his knee. That’s awful, and I feel for the guy, but I have to look at this from a fantasy perspective, this news will bump Gasol and Jimmy Butler’s value. As if the offense didn’t already go through Gasol, it will even more now, it that’s possible. The matchup can’t be any better. The Hornets are dead last in real points given up to power forwards, as well as dead last in rebounds given up and overall fantasy points given up.
PG Chris Paul $10000 Paul pretty much has to carry the workload on offense now, and he has been doing just that. Eventually he’ll wear down, but I don’t expect it to be tonight. He has under preformed in his last 2 versus Houston, but I don’t expect that to be the case tonight. He should get 40-45 Fanduel Points tonight, making him my number 1 play.
Bonus SG Jimmy Butler $8700 The news broke about Rose while is was writing this. I didn’t want to go back and change the whole Top 10, so I’ll add him as a bonus. For obvious reasons, Butler becomes a must play with Rose out. He might be the only guy that can create his own shot off the dribble now.
That’s the Top 10 for today. Now we’ll get into the Dunks and Passes. There are a ton of Dunks, so I’m only going to give a quick blurb on each.
DUNKS
- PG Langston Galllway $5400 great matchup, great price, and someone has to score.
- PG Mo Williams $5400 Plays big minutes, not the best matchup, but not the worst, great price.
- PG Elfrid Payton $6000 Gets a ton of minutes and can fill up the box score. Poor mans Ricky Rubio.
- SG Avery Bradley $5800 Look at his last 3 games and his matchup. Case closed.
- SF Luke Babbit $3900 Near minimum salary, and plays well when given the opportunity. With Ryan out, he has the opportunity. Great matchup.
- SF Jae Crowder $4200 Getting nearly 1 Fanduel Point per minute over his last 2. He is getting 30 minutes, at $4200, you won’t find better value.
- PF Brandon Bass $5000 Still value at $5000 but won’t remain here long.
- C Marcin Gortat $5200 Looking like the guy he was last year, he won’t stay cheap if he keeps this up.
- C Alen Len $5000 A poor man’s Whiteside. Doesn’t need to score to reach value.
PASSES
- PG John Wall $9100 Still not worth the price you have to pay for him. His price needs to come down.
- PG Jarrett Jack $7400 No idea of the rotation here with D Will playing so well.
- SG Dwyane Wade $7200 A string of bad games, can’t trust him.
- SF Rudy Gay $7500 Purely based on matchup. Memphis will slow it down, and beat them to a pulp in a low possession game.
- C DeMarcus Cousins $11000 Partly matchup, partly salary. No thanks.
I’ll have my Starting 9 up later today. Any questions you might have, drop it in the comment box.
Ok guys. Time to get back to winning ways, got 4 PGs in this LU….
