NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/13/15
Welcome back, hope everyone had a good Thursday night in the Fanduel world. Currently I have 3 lineups cashing thanks to Gobert, Wall, and Irving. The only lineup I'm not cashing in had James Harden, whom I rostered against my own advice, but overall a good night.
Tonight's slate is one of the best slates we've had in a while. Just the right balance of games, top-tier plays, and value plays. It'll be another high-scoring night where you'll probably need close to 300 to cash in GPP's. So let's break down the plays.

10) SG Victor Oladipo $7800 It's a tough matchup on paper, but one that he can still succeed in. He had 40 Fanduel points versus them just a few games ago. It was a game without Vucevic which you could look at 2 different ways. Either he had a big game because he had to carry the load with Vucevic out, so he may not repeat that success. Or he had a big game, despite being the focus of the defense to try to stop him, meaning he can be just as good with Vucevic. I'm going with the latter.
9) C Nikola Vucevic $8200 Speaking of Vucevic, Boston will have no answer for him tonight. The Celtics are 4th worst versus the center position over the last 3 weeks. Vucevic should approach high 40's low 50's.
8) SF Rudy Gay $8200 Another player that I like, even though on paper its a tough matchup. The 76er's, believe it or not, are number 1 versus the small forward position over the last 3 weeks, I don't really have a great statistical reason to put him here, just more of a gut feeling that he is due for a big game here.
7) PG Chris Paul $10600 Well, I had him on my Pass list the other night, and he went out and showed why he is one of the top point guards to ever play this game. Not only did he make Westbrook's life miserable, forcing him into 10 turnovers, but he also scored 33 and 9 assists! He has another tough matchup with Rondo tonight, even though Rondo hasn't been the Rondo of old, he can still defend. I'm not betting against Paul again though. Paul will get 45+ tonight.
6) PG Ricky Rubio $7900 Two back to back sub-par games from Rubio has lowered his price under the 8K mark, and now he has a great matchup with OKC. The Thunder are 4th worst over the past 3 week versus the point. Rubio will be an assist monster tonight. I'm setting the over/under at 15.
5) PG Steph Curry $10100 Curry had an off night the other night, and still had 30 Fanduel points. I can't remember the last time Curry didn't have double-digits in real NBA points. Denver isn't horrible versus the point guard position, but they aren't great either. Curry will bounce back in a big way tonight. Had to leave him at 5 due to the blow-out factor.
4) PG Russell Westbrook $13000 His salary is still at a ridiculous price, which is why he isn't at number 1 tonight. He has to score 60 to reach his value, which is entirely possible, but if he doesn't, the rest of your lineup will suffer. Leaving him off this list wasn't an option though, he is just too good.
3) PF LaMarcus Aldridge $9400 Coming off a good game versus the Rocket's 3rd worst defense guarding the power forward, it can't get any better than that, right? Wrong. How about a matchup tonight with the worst power forward defense? Detroit is awful on the inside, and Aldridge will be feasting tonight.
2) C DeAndre Jordan $9500 Dallas is bad rebounding team, I've pointed that out a few times. They give up about 17 to power forwards on a per 48 minute basis. Last game Jordan played them, he had 22. That's all you need to know.
1) DeMarcus Cousins $10500 The 76er's have played better versus the center position over the last 3 weeks, but are still last on the year. Cousins has an ankle injury, so be sure to check his status before plugging him in. Even on one leg, Cousins will get you 55+ tonight versus a weak frontline for the 76ers.
Dunks of the Night
- PG Ish Smith $5200 The Kings are pretty bad on defense in general. So to say they are bottom 8 versus the point guard would be silly. Both point guards are viable tonight for Philly.
- PG Isaiah Canaan $5100 see above
- SG Avery Bradley $5700 He came back the other night, and picked up where he left off. Not a great matchup, but not horrible.
- SF Gerald Henderson $5600 The guy has one bad game, and people jump off the bandwagon! Ok, that was me jumping off. Bounced back the other night versus the Kings and will keep it going tonight.
- PF David Lee $4700 Only if Kerr rest some players, which he hinted at. Check the news feeds.
- PF Patrick Patterson $4500 Slowly returning to form where he will be on this list a lot. Good matchup too.
- PF Marreese Speights $3700 see David Lee
- C Robin Lopez $5200 As I mentioned with Aldridge in the Top Ten, Detroit is awful versus big men. Center's and power forwards kill them inside. Robin Lopez will be at the feast with Aldridge.
- C Alex Len $4600 I keep putting him here expecting him to bounce back, now I'm determined to make it come true!
Passes of the Night
- PG Damian Lillard $8500 Over-price for his production, and it's going to be the Aldridge show tonight.
- PG Ty Lawson $7300 Bad matchup and too risky.
- SG Eric Bledsoe $8200 Bad matchup. Over-priced. No consistency.
- SG Monta Ellis $7000 Bad Matchup, and I just don't trust him right now.
Punt Plays/GPP Only
- SG Jodie Meeks $3900 Trailblazers are not good versus the shooting guard, and Meeks hasn't been bad when he has a good matchup.
- SF Harrison Barnes $4100 That whole Kerr resting players thing again, check the news feeds today.
- C Steven Adams $4200 Don't love him, but he is capable of a decent game, and at $4200 you can spend elsewhere.
That's all the Punts I have for now, but as news breaks today I may have some more. Follow me on Facebook and Twitter and I'll try to send out some more.
I'll release the “Things You Should Know….” at some point later today. If you have anything you want me to put in “Things You Should know…” Tweet them to me, I might use it, and I'll give you the credit with your Twitter handle.
Things You Should Know, but Probably Don't
- In 2 games versus Dallas, Chris Paul has averaged 46 Fanduel Points.
- In 2 games versus the Hornts, Pau Gasol has averaged 43.5 Fanduel points.
- In his only game versus Toronto this year, Dwayne Wade scored 43.7 Fanduel points.
- DeMar DeRozan in that same game had 41 Fanduel points, could be a good stack.
- In his only game versus Golden State this year, Faired only had 18 Fanduel points, but did that in only 20 minutes of action. His mintutes have gone up since they fired their coach, and Golden State is resting a lot of their players.
- In his last game versus the Celtics, Elfrid Payton was 2 assists shy of a triple double.
- 2 stackable games tonight; Heat vs Raptors, 204.5 over/under, 5 point spread; Clippers and Mavs, 202.5 over/under, 2.5 point spread.
- Matt Barnes a decent play tonight. Has 28 FD points in each of his 2 games this year versus the Mavs.
In case you haven't heard, Warriors resting Curry, Klay, Bogut, and Iggy out. Davis Lee and Livingston great plays. Justin Holiday a punt play. Speights suspended for Friday as well.
That's all I got for today. Keep your Lineuo questions coming, I'm working late tonight, but I should be able to respond to everyone.
Good Luck everyone.
