NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/17/15
NBA Games for 3/17/15

It's good to be back guys. I apologize for the past few days, I'm a retail store manager, and with the weather getting warmer here on the east coast, my job has been crazy busy recently. Not to mention I have a 2 year daughter that also demands a lot of my attention, free time comes at a premium.

For those that follow me regularly, you already know I had a pretty good weekend in Fanduel, not just with my personal line-ups, but a lot of my call-outs played well. It's still early on Monday night, so I'm not sure how tonight is going to finish, but I'm currently cashing in my Turbo game, and my all-night team is cashing with Boogie just starting his game. So barring disaster, I should be in the positives for the 5th straight night!

So let's jump right into it.

Tonight's Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/17/15
Tony Parker

10) PG Tony Parker $6500 Parker is playing like the Parker everyone knows. As always with the Spurs you have to be careful with the “rest” days, but they had a day off in between, so hopefully they won't choose to rest him. The other caveat is the blow-out factor, but the Knicks have been hanging around long enough for the other teams star players to get theirs. Even in that blow-out to Golden State, the Knicks were actually winning after the 1st quarter, and Klay and Curry still got theirs.

Tobias Harris

9) SF Tobias Harris $6700 Don't look know, but Harris seems to be completely back from injury, and he is currently under-priced. At his current price, he needs about 30 points to reach value, a total he has reached in 5 of his last 6 games, and the one he didn't, he got 26. Houston is bottom 8 versus the small forward position over the last 3 weeks despite having Ariza as a plus defender.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/17/15
Giannis Antetokounmpo

8) SG Giannis Antetokounmpo $6800 He is here based solely on his last game versus the Pelicans just a week ago. He had 51 Fanduel points versus them and nothing has changed for the Pelicans defensively. I doubt he'll get you 50 again, but at $6800 he only needs to get you 30+.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/17/15
DeAndre Jordan

7) C DeAndre Jordan $9300 He is a bit over-priced now, and with Blake Griffin back, his value is hurt some. On a small 5 game slate though, he is a double double walking, and you won't find too many of those with 5 games. Even he doesn't reach value, he is a shoe-in for 35+. There won't be a lot of “sure-things” tonight, but DeAndre is as close as you can get.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/17/15
James Harden

6) SG James Harden $10800 For two and a half games, it looked like something was wrong with Harden. Then the second half happened in LA with the blowout of the Clippers. He started that game slowly, and then ended up with a shade under 50 Fanduel points for the game. Take his wake up call and a matchup with the 4th worst shooting guard defense in Orlando over the last 3 weeks, and that's a recipe for success.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/17/15
Chris Paul

5) PG Chris Paul $10200 Not a great match-up but not a horrible one. Even in a tough match-up you can't discount Chris Paul. He did have a couple of down games versus some good defenders, Beverly and Rondo, in his last 2 games, but he is capable of getting 50 Fanduel points every night.

Mark Gasol

4) C Mark Gasol $7600 I've mentioned plenty of times how awful Detroit is versus opposing big men. They check in at 3rd worst versus the center position over the last 3 weeks, and the Grizzlies are one of the few teams left in the NBA that run their offense through their big men. He needs 35+ to reach value, he'll get you 40 or more at a great value.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/17/15
Zach Randolph

3) PF Zach Randolph $7800 Any doubt he would be on this list after what I just said in regards to Gasol? Detroit is dead last versus the power forward position, so queue up 40+ for Z-bo.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/17/15
Nikola Vucevic

2) C Nikola Vucevic $8400 Houston rivals Detroit at defense versus big men. Vucevuc has slowly returned to form after missing a few games, and peaked in his last game with 45 Fanduel points. He can easily get 45+ tonight with Houston being bottom 2 versus the center position over the last 3 weeks.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/17/15
Anthony Davis

1) PF Anthony Davis $12300 On a 5 game slate, he is going to be tough to fit into a lineup since there is very little value to be had. With that said, he is the only one on this list that can get you 70+. Something he has done twice over his last 6 games, and he has another one at 66 versus the team he plays tonight. I suspect he will be highly owned tonight, fade at your own risk.

Dunks of the Night

Not a lot of Dunks, Punts, or Passes tonight. 5 game slate will do that, but for what it's worth, this is what I got.

  • SG Danny Green $5500 With Ginobli out for a while, Green should get plenty of minutes and chances. He is one of the few “rest proof” players on the Spurs.
  • PF Ersan Ilyasova $4700 He is probably more of a punt play, but his price doesn't fit my criteria for a punt(under 4K), he had a bad game versus New Orleans last time, but he is capable of getting 30+. With a 5 game slate, sometimes your going to have guys like this.
  • SF Corey Brewer $4600 Had a tough game and limited minutes versus the Clippers the other night, but I'm not ready to totally fade him. He had 2 back to back 30+ games previous, and he could get back to that tonight in a plus matchup with Orlando.

Passes of the Night

  • PF Greg Monroe $8300 I'm passing tonight on both of Detroit's big men due to matchup with the Grizzlies. One of them may have a good game, but choosing which one will be difficult, and there are better options.
  • C Andre Drummond $8300 See Greg Monroe
  • PG Kemba Walker $7600 The Chris Paul factor here.

Punts of the Night

  • PG Corey Joseph $3700 Counting on the blow-out factor here. If they choose to limit Parker in a blow-out, Joseph will get some run.
  • PG Beno Udrich $3700 If Conely sits he could be your ticket to Anthony Davis. He isn't great by any means, but at $3700 he only needs to get 16 to reach value, which he has done in every game he has started.

That's all I have for tonight. I put out my “Things You Should Know” at some point today. I still have some digging to do to find some good stats for today. As I finish this up, looks like I'll end up positive for the 5th straight night. My Turbo cashed and I have 2 GPP's that should cash as well. Another good night, hopefully my blog is helping you win some too.

As always, follow me on Twitter and Facebook for updates, and feel free to comment at the bottom with any questions, I should have more time to respond with more in-depth responses then I have been over the last few days.

Things You Should Know, but Probably Don't

  • In his only game versus the Magic this year, Harden had 50.8 Fanduel points.
  • Chris Paul, in his only game with the Hornets, had 51.5 points.
  • In that same game Blake had 52.7.
  • In his only game versus Houston, Vucevic had 50.9 points.
  • Drummond in his only game with Memphis struggled with only 19 Fanduel points.
  • Michael Carter-Williams has played New Orleans twice this year, once with Philly and once with the Bucks. With the 76ers he had 42.7 and with the Bucks 37.7.
  • Oladipo had 51.2 versus Houston in his only game, but Tobias Harris did not play in that game.
  • Mark Gasol and Zach Randolph had 42.1 and 48.4 respectively in their only matchup with Detroit this year.
  • Spurs are bottom 3 versus the point guard position in the last 3 weeks, Alexey Shved plays both the point guard and the 2 guard position, he could be a good play, and Galloway a sneaky tournament play.
  • The Magic are dead last versus the small forward position over the last 3 weeks, which bodes well for both Ariza and Corey Brewer.
  • There is only one game tonight with an over/under above 200 points, Rockets/Magic, but only one game has a point spread less than 5 points, and that's the Pistons and Grizzlies. Both games could be targeted for those reasons.

Ok guys. That wraps up today's post. Still waiting on a ton of injury news, as well as some rest days expected. So don't put in a lineup and leave it, check the news feeds. I'll try and tweet out any news that I hear.

Good luck!
