NBA Fanduel Lineup and Advice 3/10/15
Still early on Monday night as I type this, watching some of the games on TV and on my iPad currently, still too early to tell how my plays from yesterday worked out. The lineups I ran are late game heavy, so I’m not even sure how they will do either.
I’ve already started research for today’s(when you read this, it’ll be today) slate, and it’s a very shallow group of players tonight. My Top Ten will have some fringe players for sure.
There also isn’t a ton of value today either. The preliminary Dunks and Punts list is extremely small. It’ll be a tough day to figure out, but I’ll try to make some sense of it.

Today’s Top Plays
10) PG George Hill $6300 Yeah, you read that right, George Hill. I told you today will have some fringe players. The Magic are actually pretty good defending the point guard, so he is a bit of a risky play today, but this it the Top 10, not the Top 9. There just isn’t much to choose from.

9) C Rudy Gobert $7400 He is getting pricey and is no longer a good value play. His upside is limited, but he is playing the Knicks, and they are a mess. Utah isn’t much better, so this game will stay close and Gobert will get his normal complement of minutes. He’ll get you 30-35 Fanduel points.
8) PG Reggie Jackson $6900 He had a huge game last time out versus the Hornets with 44 Fanduel points, and now he gets the Lakers. The numbers show the Lakers have been good versus the point guard over the last 3 weeks… their not. Sometimes numbers lie. Over the last 3 weeks, with the exception being Westbrook, they haven’t really faced a ton of scoring point guards. Reggie Jackson is a scoring point guard and will have a big game here. 35-40 Fanduel points is what I expect.
7) Andre Drummond $8400 He has four 40+ Fanduel point games over his last 10 games. A matchup with the Lakers should bring him his 5. Lakers have no one that can matchup up with Drummond. He should easily get a double double tonight.
6) SF Gordon Hayward $7800 A very streaky Fanduel player, one that I normally avoid, but in a matchup with New York, and a shallow slate, I can’t ignore him. He is a little pricey for his production level, so he is more GPP than cash games.
5) PF Greg Monroe $8100 I like him for the same reason I like Drummond and he is a little cheaper. He doesn’t quite have the big 40+ point games that Drummond has, but he does have one over 50, so the upside is there.
4) PG Tyreke Evans** $8400 He left the game tonight with an injury, so check his status before plugging in him. If he plays, he is by far the best play at point guard tonight in a decent matchup with the Nets.
3) SF Kawhi Leonard $7600 He has 6 straight 35+ Fanduel points games and he get the Raptors, the 2nd worst team versus small forwards. He should get to the 35+ point mark again. I’m expecting him to be over 40.
2) SF LeBron James $10700 The top 2 guys are really the only guys I can lock in as great plays. If there was more value, I would tell you to try to get both in your lineup, but with the shallow field, that will be difficult. LeBron has been in a bit of a slump, and Dallas isn’t a great matchup, but it’s not a bad one either.
1) PF Anthony Davis $11200 I was asked by a reader recently if Anthony Davis’s 78 point game was a fluke. He may never get to 78 again, but with 53, 44, and 66 in his 3 games since that game, I’d hardly call it a fluke. His salary will be tough to fit in a lineup with little value tonight, but he has to be in every cash game lineup if you want to have a chance to win.
Dunks of the Night
- PG Tony Parker $5800 Tony is back! Or, at least the Spurs hope so, and at $5800, so do we. Great matchup too.
- PG Trey Burke $5600 Has show 30+ point potential, and he gets to play versus the Knicks. With tonight’s slate, you could do worse.
- SG Rodney Stuckey $5500 Hasn’t been great since his back to back 40 point games, but at $5500, if he get 25 you’ll be happy.
- C Timofey Mozgov $5200 Always a double double threat. Limited upside though.
Passes of the Night
- PG Kyle Lowry $7100 Spurs are a decent matchup for him, but his baseline right now is 31 Fanduel points, do you really trust him get you that?
- SG DeMar DeRozan$7400 He has been playing well lately, and SG isn’t very deep, so I wouldn’t blame you if you played him, but even though the Spurs on paper struggle versus the shooting guard over the last 3 weeks, they are number 1 on the season.
- Â SG Victor Oladipo $8000 He has been a monster recently, and it’ll be hard to pass on him, but with Vucevic most likely yo return, and the Pacers slow pace, he may not reach value.
Punts of the Night
- PG Norris Cole $3800 If Tyreke Evans sits, Cole will get a ton of minutes. His upside is limited, but he is as good a punt option as there is.
- C Dewayne Dedmon $4200 Expected to stay in the starting lineup even if Vucevic returns tonight, and hasn’t been too bad recently. Hibbbert also may sit in this one, so that could help soften up the Pacers interior defense.
- C Tarik Black $3800 He is a super punt option, but the Lakers don’t have much on the frontline, so he could get a ton of minutes. Not to mention Detroit is awful versus opposing big men, ranking worst versus the power forward and 4th worst versus the center.
Things You Should Know, But Probably Don’t
- Dallas is giving up a whopping 21 rebounds per 48 minutes to the center position over the last week, and 18 over the last 3 weeks. Mozgov could easily get 15+
- Raptors over the last 3 weeks are giving up 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists to small forwards per 48 minutes. Kawhi Leonard could flirt with a triple double, or at least a 20/10/5 game.
- Parker scored 42 Fanduel points versus the Bull’s last ranked defense versus the PG. Raptors are the second worst versus the Point.
- Oladipo has not scored more than 30 Fanduel points in 2 games versus the Pacers this year.
- In his only game versus the Mavericks, Kevin Love had 48.5 Fanduel points, but be warned, Lebron did not play.
- In his only game versus the Pelicans, Joe Johnson had 35 Fanduel points. Pelicans struggle guarding the shooting guard position.
- In his only game versus New York this year, Gordon Hayward had 50 Fanduel Points.
Thats all I got for today, like I said, this is a tough slate to figure out. No great value. Not a ton of great matchups. I’m not playing a ton of lineups tonight, I’d recommend everyone do the same.
