NBA Fanduel Lineup and Advice 3/2/15
Still to early to tell how all my Fanduel lineups did today. I had an early lineup do very well today, but I just didn’t have time to get on here and post it. Hopefully the 2 late lineups I posted end well.
A small slate of games on the docket for tonight. There are a few big names, but a lot of mid level guys to choose from. My Top Ten will include some guys that don’t normally make the Top Ten.
Hopefully March will end the jinx of my posted lineups, it seems the ones I don’t post here end up doing well. Depending on the slate of games, I try to run at least 3 lineups, and run them each in a few contests. I play mainly cash games, with the occasional GPP when I feel really good about my lineups.
March kicked off pretty well, as my early lineup, even if I don’t make the cut in any other game tonight, put me in the positive to start the month. I hope this marks the beginning of a good run.
Check out Today’s Cost Versus Production Chart:
Tonight’s Top Ten Plays
10) PF Nerlens Noel $6800 Here is one of those guys I was talking about that, on a full slate, wouldn’t make many Top Tens. On a 5 game slate though, you won’t find very many players with his value. Only $6800 with 40 Fanduel Point upside, and a good matchup with the Raptors.
9) C Hassan Whiteside $7600 He had 24 rebounds last game! Granted Horford sat out the game, but still. No one on the Suns will be able to keep him off the boards. Len is decent, but Whiteside is turning into a monster. With the pace of the Suns, I’m worried about foul trouble with him, but still checks in at number 9 tonight.
8) SG Eric Bledsoe $8900 This guy is all over the place with his production. I don’t have a Floor/Ceiling chart, but he has to have of the largest differences between those 2. Scoring 62 versus the Thunder and then follows that up with 17. Miami plays at one of the slowest paces and Suns play at one of the fastest, but I expect Bledsoe to push the pace, thus get a lot of opportunities. More of a GPP play though for his ceiling. Can’t trust his lack of consistency in cash games.
7) SG Monta Ellis $6700 Remember when Ellis was balling earlier in the season, and he was pretty much a must start? Seems like forever ago. So why do I like him here? Well, during that “must start” time period, he played the Pelicans and put up 40 Fanduel Points. Pels still can’t guard the back court very well. I don’t expect 40 again, but I’ll take 30.
6) SF Draymond Green $7300 Remember when Draymond Green was a must start? Well, he is back! Two 40 point and one 38 point game in his last 3 games, and a great matchup with the Nets. There is some blowout potential here, but so was last night, and they had to come back to win. Second night of a back to back could keep this game close too.

5)PG Tyreke Evans $8400 Has a bit of a tough matchup with Rondo, but Rondo isn’t getting enough minutes to completely shut him down. I doubt he would have anyway, Evans is the reason for the Pels staying in the playoff hunt without Anthony Davis. Look for 35+ again.
4) PG Ricky Rubio $7500 This is probably the toughest matchup for Rubio since returning from injury, but he is playing too well to ignore. The Clippers are top 5 versus the point guard position, but Rubio does so much, I still expect him to hit 30+.
3) PG Chirs Paul $10000 Chris Paul is going to get tired eventually, but he should make easy work of the Timberwolves tonight. There is the blowout potential and maybe a rest in the 4th, but the Clippers bench is so bad that Paul will have to play the majority of the game.
2) C DeAndre Jordan $9700 Man, what more can you say, dude gets seemingly every rebound! He had 26 versus the Bulls, which I called by the way, he’ll have his way with the Wolves tonight. 20+ rebounds again.
1) PG Steph Curry $10000 Blow out potential aside, how could he not be number 1 on the list? Coming off a 37 point night in a come back win, I expect him to go more assist heavy tonight. Something in the way of 20 points 15 assists 6 rebounds.
Looks like one of my lineups that I posted is over 300 points. Not bad. That makes 2 of my lineups that went over 300 with an All-Day one I did, and my early lineup was at 289 and was enough to be above the cut. Maybe March will be a great month.
So lets look at some value for today’s slate.
Dunks of the Night
- PG Isaiah Canaan $4300 He doesn’t look too good if you look at his game log, and admittedly, he is probably a punt play, but in his defense, his last 3 games came against some pretty good defenses. Toronto is not, and at $4300, you could do worse.
- SG Louis Williams $5100 He has hit value in his last 2 games, and has a good matchup versus Philly.
- SG Austin Rivers $3500 Huge punt play, and you’re banking on a blow out. If he gets any kind of minutes versus Minnesota, he could put up some points at minimum salary.
- SF Al-Farouq Aminu $4700 Has the propensity to throw up some ugly games, and he could give you 30. Another GPP punt.
- PF Patrick Patterson $4700 He may be a bit over-priced for his recent production, but on a 5 games slate, you may have to use him.
- PF Dante Cunningham $4100 Getting a ton of minutes, and as long as Anthony Davis is out, is great value.
- C Alexis Ajinca $4800 Started a bit slow last night, while Asik balled, but salvaged it towards to end of the 3rd and into the fourth in his last game. Should be good again versus Dallas, one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. He could fall into a double double.
Passes of the Night
- SG Dwayne Wade $7100 Price is coming down, but needs to be under 7K before he comes off my Pass list.
- SG Kevin Martin $6800 Doesn’t seem to play well versus good defenses, which doesn’t say much, but I just don’t trust him.
- SF Luol Deng $6600 I’m putting him for one reason, 6.3. That’s what he scored versus a resting Hawks team. He was in my lineup, and he pissed me off, so I will never take him again.
- C Brook Lopez $6800 Randomly got only 15 minutes last time out, and has a bad matchup with Golden State.
As usual I’ll post my Starting 9 later on today. In the meantime, please register for my blog. I’ve made it super easy with a Facebook option to sign up. Much better options with this Registering system.
