NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Divisional Round Weekend

Welcome to the Divisional Round Weekend edition of the NFL DFS FanDuel GPP plays. This article will focus on the main slate on FanDuel, which features four games this week. Just as a reminder, this article is not meant to be an actual FanDuel GPP lineup, but rather an article focusing on some good stand-alone options for your GPP lineup. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my favorite GPP options for Divisional Round Weekend.

NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Divisional Round Weekend

DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel GPP Play of the Day

Julio Jones (ATL) vs. SEA  $8,300
Many people will likely look at this matchup and immediately avoid Julio Jones. Hopefully, people forget that Jones had a huge game in Seattle back in Week 6 with seven receptions, 139 yards, and a touchdown. If the Seahawks decide to shadow Jones with Sherman again, Jones will likely have another huge game since he will have single coverage.

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers (GB) @ DAL $8,800
I think more people will cling to  Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson this week. However, I believe that Aaron Rodgers is the best option out of all three. Aaron Rodgers is locked in with four touchdowns in each of his last three games and no interceptions since Week 10. With essentially no running game, Rodgers should continue to put up huge numbers in a solid matchup against an average Cowboys’ pass defense.

Matt Ryan (ATL) vs. SEA $8,300
Matt Ryan had a great season in 2016 including an excellent performance at Seattle in Week 6 with 335 passing yards and three touchdowns. Ryan should be able to do similar damage at home this time around and the Seahawks’ defense is not nearly as good on the road as they are at home.

Running Backs

Ezekiel Elliott (DaL) vs. GB $8,500
Ezekiel Elliott will probably be pretty popular this week, but I don’t think he will be as popular as Le’Veon Bell. I think the Packers will try and sell out to stop Elliott, but many other teams have tried that as well. Elliott should see 20+ carries and he shouldn’t have any problems against the Packers who have not been nearly as good against the run as they were earlier in the season.

Dion Lewis (NE) vs. HOU $5,400
Before you think I am crazy, remember that this is a tournament lineup and we need to pick some spots to differentiate ourselves from the pack. LeGarrette Blount has an illness and will likely be less than 100% for the game on Saturday. Over the last three games, Lewis has had at least 11 carries in each of the three games. Also, the game script greatly favors the running game of the Patriots. The Patriots will likely get out to an early game and could decide to rest Blount if he truly is not healthy for the game.

Wide Receivers
Tyreek Hill (KC) vs. PIT  $6,600
Tyreek Hill benefits from being involved in the rushing, receiving and return game for the Chiefs and has been a huge X-factor with eight touchdowns since Week 12. Hill should continue to be heavily involved this week and if the Chiefs win this game, Hill will likely be a huge reason for it.

Davante Adams (GB) vs.  $7,400 @ DAL
Jordy Nelson left the game early last week and it was later confirmed that he had a couple of broken ribs. Even though it appeared that Randall Cobb was the greatest beneficiary with three touchdowns, Devante Adams was actually targeted more by Aaron Rodgers. Many people will likely try to chase Cobb’s huge game, so Adams should come in at lower ownership and he is the better option.

Paul Richardson (SEA) @ ATL $4,700
Everyone thought that Jermaine Kearse would step in for  Tyler Lockett when he went down with a broken leg, but it has actually been Paul Richardson who has been producing. Over the last three weeks, Richardson  has had at least four receptions and 40 yards while adding two touchdowns. Richardson has a solid matchup against the Falcons this Saturday and should still have low ownership.

Tight End

Related Articles

Jason Witten (DAL) vs. GB $4,900
I imagine that Travis Kelce will be the chalk tight end option this weekend, but I believe that the Chiefs will be conservative once they get a lead. Jason Witten has been one of Dak Prescott’s favorite targets this season and he does have the potential to outscore Kelce at a much lower salary and a much lower ownership percentage.

Defense

Chiefs (KC) vs. PIT $4,900 vs. PIT
The Chiefs are a great correlation play with Tyreek Hill. If Hill scores a return touchdown, you will get double points since you have the defense and the player. Also, the Chiefs are in a great spot against the Steelers since Ben Roethlisberger is not nearly as great on the road as he is at home.
