NFL Week 3 FanDuel Value Picks
I am back with my week 3 edition of NFL FanDuel Value Picks. We were off to a great start after week 1 but came back down to earth a bit last week. QB Josh Allen was the only pick I made that ended up hitting our goal of 3x value. Time to get back on track!
Quarterback:
Kyler Murray vs CAR ($7,200) – Kyler and the Cardinals will be hosting the struggling Panthers in week 3. In each week he has thrown for 305+ yards through the air. The Panthers are off to an ugly 0-2 start and are now without their star QB Cam Newton. Kyler could look to make an impact on the ground, which he has yet to do (17 rushing yards through two games), against the Panthers who rank 26th in the league against the rush. This could be a sneaky good match up for the rookie to have his first true big game as a pro.
Josh Allen vs CIN ($7,500) – I am going to right back to my only pick that hit last week, QB Josh Allen. He has a fantastic match up in week 3 going against a Bengals defense that has allowed 24.2 & 23.64 FDP’s to QB’s through the first two weeks of the season. Allen has found the end zone twice through the air and twice on the ground through two games and has the Bills off to a 2-0 start. Look for Allen to keep his hot start going against a struggling Cincinnati team.
Running Back:
Miles Sanders vs DET ($5,400) – Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has expressed his confidence in Sanders as the lead back despite his struggles through two weeks. However, Sanders has a juicy match up with the Lions who rank near the bottom of the league defensively (26th). He has been on the field for just under 50% of the total offensive snaps for the Eagles this season, but I see that number increasing as early as Sunday. Look for the rookie to dominate the backfield snaps and find the end zone for his first career touchdown against Detroit.
Frank Gore vs CIN ($5,700) – With breakout rookie RB Devin Singletary ruled out for Sunday, Frank Gore is set to get all he can handle against the Bengals. The Benglas defensive struggles have carried over from last season and I expect the veteran RB to take advantage. Look for Gore to receive 20+ carries and find the endzone in week 3.
Wide Reciever:
Nelson Agholor vs DET ($4,800) – The injury bug has hit the Eagles receiving corps. and Agholor may be in line for the #1 WR role this Sunday against the Lions. He looks to be slotted in as the deep threat replacement for injured WR DeSean Jackson. Agholor has blazing speed and has had big games in the past against suspect defenses.
Phillip Dorsett vs NYJ ($5,000) – With the departure of WR Antonio Brown, Dorsett looks to regain his role in the starting offense. Prior to losing snaps last week, Dorsett had a monster week 1 producing 23.5 FDP’s on 4 catches for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns. Look for QB Tom Brady to re-introduce him to the starting lineup against a bad Jets team in week 3.
Randall Cobb vs MIA ($5,300) – With emerging WR Michael Gallup going down for at least 4 weeks, Randall Cobb should have an increased oppurtunity for targets. The Cowboys have a great match up against the NFL’s worst team, the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins rank dead last defensively and have allowed 102 points through just two games this season. Look for a combination of poor defense and increased opportunity to lead to a big day for Cobb.

Tight End:
Kyle Rudolph vs OAK ($4,800) – After two dud performances for Rudolph, he will look to get back on track in a favorable match up when the Vikings host the Raiders this Sunday. The Vikings passing attack has been suspect thus far, but the Raiders allowed 278 passing yards and 4 touchdowns.. in 1 quarter last week! Albeit, to reigning MVP Chiefs QB Pat Mahomes. Rudolph does his best work in the red zone and i see plenty of opportunities heading his way against Oakland.
Defense:
Seattle Seahawks vs NO ($3,400) – The undefeated Seahawks will look to keep their streak alive when they host the Drew Brees-less Saints this weekend. After Brees’ injury last week, the Siants offense could never seem to get anything rolling. They will be playing in one of the hardest places in the NFL to play, with back up QB Teddy Bridgewater. I see a dominate performance from the Seattle D and the “12th Man”.
New England Patriots vs NYJ ($5,000) – The Patriots routed the division rival Dolphions last week and will look to do the same to another division foe this week. New England has allowed only 3 total points through the first 8 quarters of the 2019 season. The Patriots defensive dominance is unquestioned and that combined with this great matchup against the banged up Jets should lead to another huge week for the Pats.
