Predicting The Philadelphia Eagles 2021 Regular Season Record
Week 1 on the road vs The Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta: The Eagles will open up their first season under New Head Coach Nick Sirriani with a Win down in Georgia on September 12th. QB Jalen Hurts throws two TDs to WR Devonta Smith and TE Dallas Goedert and runs in another score while RB Miles Sanders pounds one in from the one-yard line with 2 minutes left to play to put this game on ice. FS Anthony Harris gets his first two interceptions as an Eagle in this game on defense. The Eagles win a shootout final score: 38 to 28.
Week 2 at Home vs The San Francisco 49ers: The Philadelphia Eagles wind up shocking the NFL world by upsetting an up-and-coming 49ers team at the Linc 28 to 27. If this game were in San Fran I would predict a loss, but expect those loud and very passionate Eagles fans to make a real impact on this game that is just enough to rattle talented rookie QB, Trey Lance, into throwing an interception on a two-point conversion attempt that’s picked off by Corner Darius Slay who finally starts to earn that 59 million dollar contract starting this season. Eagles win: 28 to 27

The Eagles lose a surprising defensive slugfest against the hated Dallas Cowboys as both offenses struggle to score a single TD in this one 12 to 9. Worry not as the birds get their revenge with a win over Dallas later on in the year as Dallas Goedert catches another game-winning TD from Eagles QB Jalen Hurts a second time in three seasons against the team that he was named after but has no problem bullying in the red zone. Dak Prescott has not recovered from last year’s injuries and it is quite possible he never does. He looks like for Dallas in this game like Carson Wentz looked like for Philadelphia a season ago as he’s sacked by a highly upgraded Eagles D-line 9 times. The Eagles lose: 12 to 9
Week 4: Eagles at home vs the Kansas City Chiefs. QB Patrick Mahomes reinjures the foot that cost him another SB win just last season in this one and the Eagles take advantage. The Eagles win 27 to 17. Another case of a QB not yet recovering from an injury that occurred in 2020. WRs Travis Fulgham and Devonta Smith each catch a long TD pass from QB Jalen Hurts and RB Kerryon Johnson runs one in from 10 yards out. The Eagles D-Line sacks a hobbled Mahomes 8 times and combines for 10 total pressures one of which is picked off by slot CB Avonte Maddox. The Eagles win 27 to 17
Week 5: The Eagles on the Road vs The Carolina Panthers. The Eagles make a statement by winning big against a team that has talent but no real starting QB. The Eagles win 48 to 7 and improve to 4-1 on the year. QB Jalen Hurts has his best game of the year against an average secondary by throwing two TDs to TE Dallas Goedert and one to WR Jalen Reagor. WR Devonta Smith has 190 yards receiving and RBs Miles Sanders and Kerryon Johnson combine for 109 yards on the ground. Hurts also run in for two TDs in the Redzone. Rookie DE Terror Tarron Jackson comes up with a tip ball interception that he takes to the house. DE Ryan Kerrigan gets his first 3 sacks as an Eagle in one game. The Eagles win 48 to 7 with the Panthers only score coming in garbage time. DC Johnathon Gannon lets his defense know he isn’t thrilled about the Panther lone score after the game.

Yes, but he’ll have too many weapons around him this season to no make the playoffs. Drew Brees retiring from the Saints will sadly help the Bucs case. I actually think that this football game could go either way. The Eagles lose a closer game than anyone expected 21 to 20 dropping to 4 and 2. TEs Goedert and Gronk are the stars of the game for the Eagles and Bucs respectively.
Week 7: The Philadelphia Eagles on the road for the very first time in NFL History in Las Vegas against the Raiders. I don’t think this Raiders team is very good. 9 and 9 is their ceiling and their floor is much lower. The Eagles bounce back big with a win against the Raiders as former Texas Tech Red Raider Corner Zech Mcpherson picks off QB Derek Carr twice and QB Jalen Hurts throws two deep TD bombs to WR Devonta Smith as well as running for 99 yards and a TD. The Eagles Rushing attack feasts on an average D-Line as Miles Sanders, rookie Kenny Gainwell, and Kerryon Johnson all break long runs in this one as well.
The Eagles win 58 to 28 with the last Raiders TD coming in garbage time against the bird’s second and third-team Defense. The Eagles improve to 5-2 in the NFC East and are comfortably in first place surprising everyone except for me, the Eagles faithful, and much to his own disappointment QB1 Jalen Hurts fan and avid supporter of Jalen’s ability to play great football as a Franchise NFL QB Skip Bayless. I’m sorry skip. You did say that Hurts would be great the day he was drafted and he proves you right again in week 7 against a so-so Raiders squad. The Eagles win 58 to 28 with a defensive TD and a punt return TD by Greg Ward as well and improve to 5-2
Week 8: The Eagles vs the Detroit Lions in Detroit: The Eagles win 30 to 21. Despite scoring 30 it is a sloppy game for an Eagles offense that could have scored more. luckily the Eagles improved D-line is just too much for QB Jared Goff who is sacked 8 times and intercepted twice by CB Darius Slay. The Eagles win 30 to 21 and improve to 6-2 on the year
Week 9: The Eagles win on the road against the L.A. Chargers. The Eagles win a would-be trap game 28 to 17 with a big second half from WR Travis Fulgham and RBs Kenny Gainwell and Boston Scott. Down 17 to 7 at the half, the Eagles come soaring back and take control of this game late in the 3rd quarter. The Hero of the game is rookie CB Zech Mcpherson who takes one to the house. The Eagles win and improve to 7-2
Week 10: The Philadelphia Eagles lose a trap game to the Denver Broncos 20 to 17 and fall to 8-3 on the year. The bright side is a big performance by WR Jalen Reagor who has now really started to come on as the Eagles starting slot WR. Reagor has 10 catches for 118 yards and falls just inches short of scoring the game-winning TD. The Eagles lose 20 to 17 (or perhaps Reagor gets in) We shall see.
Embed from Getty ImagesWeek 11: The New Orleans Saints are simply not the same without QB Drew Brees. The Eagles bounce back big at home 39 to 21 with the Saints last TD coming in garbage time. QB Jalen Hurts has the game of his life with 5 TD passes becoming the first Eagles QB to throw 5 Tds in one game since QB Nick Foles back in 2014. The Eagle’s defense harrases QB Taysom Hill into throwing 4 picks. The Eagles win and improve to 8-3 on the year.

Week 12: Its time for a Boston Scott game as the Eagle’s third (or 4th?) string RB has another patterned giant game at the expense of The New Jersey Giants. Boston runs for 4 Tds and catches another as the Eagle’s offense cruises. Giants QB Daniel Jones throws an INT and fumbles twice as the Eagles D-line sacks him 12 times in this one. The Eagles win and improve to 9-3 on the year.
Week 13: The Eagles lose for the very first time in franchise history to the New York Jets (in New Jersey) as QB Jalen Hurts has Eagles fans holding their collective breath as he suffers a concussion diving in for a TD. QB Joe Flacco plays relatively well as he throws one TD to WR Devonta Smith and one pick. The Eagles lose a trap game 24 to 20 and fall to 9-4
Week 15: QB Joe Flacco gets the start of QB Jalen Hurts who is still in the NFL concussion protocol and surprises the NFL World by throwing three deep bombs to WR Devonta Smith against the Washington Football Team. RBs Miles Sanders and Boston Scott each run in for a score as well and the Eagles defense pick off a not-so Fitzmagic 5 times 3 of which are returned for TDs. The Eagles win 49 to 17 and improve to 10-4 on the year.
Week 16: QB Jalen Hurts is finally healthy and bounces back in a big way as he accounts for 8 total TDs at home against The Giants. Hurts throws three to WR Travis Fulgham, one to Smith and one to TE Dallas Goedert and runs for three more on the ground one of which is a jaw-dropping 99 yard TD run in which he bounces off a would-be tackle from DE Chase Young who eats dirt on the play to the joy of every Eagles fan. DE Ryan Kerrigan comes up with two and a half and DT Fletcher Cox has two sacks. The Eagles win 59 to 21 and improve to 11-4 on the year.
Embed from Getty ImagesWeek 17: The Eagles are on the wrong side of Fitzmagic this time around as they lose a surprising upset shootout to the Redskins…I mean Washinton Football Team. The Eagles lose 38 to 35 and fall to 11-5 on the year.
Week 18: The Eagles have locked up the no. 2 overall seed in the NFC and decide to rest their players. The Eagles still defeat a reeling overrated (What else is new?) Dallas Cowboys team as their second team defense comes up with a few Dak Prescott turnovers and QB Joe Flacco throws a last-minute game-winning dart to TE Dallas Goedert who literally sneaks back into the game because he wants to beat the team that he was named after yet constantly hampers year after year. The Eagles win 28 to 9 and finish the regular season 12-5
The Playoffs: When the Eagles reach this point ill be writing a separate article. At the moment I have them winning a home playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks and one on the road before falling in the NFC Championship game 38 to 29 to the San Franciso 49ers in California.
