Thanks, for Nothing Week 9 (Week 10 Over/UnderValued)
Wow, wow, wow…that’s really all I can say about Week 9, and I am so glad it is over. My betting and fantasy life both took a hit due to the craziness that was underdogs outperforming and teams that were supposed to win, not showing up to play. I’m looking at you Bills and Cowboys. So instead of crying over what has happened, let’s dive right in.
Undervalued
Teddy Bridgewater QB Broncos
After Von Miller was traded, rumors came out that they were looking at trading Teddy as well… a big mistake if so. He deserves some respect. I honestly have loved him since his time in Minnesota and know that if he had not hurt his knee, he would be their starter over Cousins, but the Vikings gave up too soon. So, then he bounces to my beloved Saints, the Panthers, and now is the leader of the Broncos offense. Does he deserve to be in the Top 15 QB discussion? On Sunday it was their defense and running game that really propelled them to victory, but he did throw for 249 yards and a touchdown. The thing to note though is that he looked comfortable, he wasn’t scrambling for his life. Maybe all the pieces are starting to click for him. Upcoming Week 10 is the Eagles defense that just let Herbert light them up with 356 yards. Not like I expect those numbers from Teddy, but we could be seeing another positive game script for him. Then Week 11 is a bye and hopefully get Fant healthy and the offense in more sync to finish strong. Fantasy playoffs weeks give the Broncos a decent schedule of Detroit, Cincinnati, and Las Vegas. Bridgewater is worth grabbing in deeper leagues. Owned in 26% of Yahoo and 24% of ESPN.
Emmanuel Sanders WR Bills
The entire Bills offense stunk on Sunday vs the Jags, not sure what they were thinking, but nonetheless, after posting zero catches in Week 8, Sanders at least produced 65 yards on 4 catches in a non-existent offensive strike. He is 34 and has bounced from team to team, but what if the Bills make a Superbowl appearance, it would be his 4th. The man keeps producing. Now he isn’t going to put up WR1 numbers week in and week out, but he is definitely a strong flex play in PPR leagues. Sanders has 478 yards through eight games and is on pace to finish the season with at least close to 800. That’s my take especially with the stretch of games the Bills have coming up. They play the Jets, Colts, Patriots, and Saints in the next four weeks. There are so many injuries currently, so if you need a flex fill-in, reach for Sanders. Yahoo 81% owned and ESPN 78%. also, how can you not love his off-field generosity and love for others?

Christian Kirk WR Cardinals
Ok, every week someone on Twitter or in my fantasy circles tries to sell me on Kirk…I just don’t see it. He is a mid WR4 and is one of the most boom or bust players in the game. Yes, sometimes he finishes as a Top 20 WR like in Week 6 vs Houston or Week 1 vs Tennessee, but he usually finishes outside the Top 30. Even with Hopkins banged up and not playing Week 9, Kirk had 91 yards, but for me to consider him as a waiver wire or trade pick up, he has to be more consistent, and he is not. The green light was given to him with Hopkins out and yes, he did ok, but we deserve more to elevate him in this fantasy game we love and play. Week 9’s 13 fantasy points just aren’t enough for me because my gut tells me that in Week 10 vs the Panthers, he’ll underproduce like he did Week 8. It’s a flip-flop game I am not willing to play. Let other’s pick him up and play him. I am staying clear and would rather take a chance on Rondale Moore, Donovan Peoples-Jones, or Will Fuller coming off IR.
Fine me on Twitter @luvtractor3 where I can be found asking and answering weekend questions and just regularly having fun!
