The Best DraftKings Cash Game Picks for Week 1 9/11/22

Great news! The NFL is back, Baby! I will be this year’s DraftKings cash game expert once again!

Quarterback

Jameis Winston ($5,300)

Let’s get started off with New Orleans Saints Quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston is a player I never thought I would be excited to roster at any point, but for Week 1, I’m fully there! Winston gets back Wide Receiver Michael Thomas! During the off season New Orleans drafted rookie Wide Receiver Chris Olave, and added Jarvis Landry to Winston’s arsenal. Winston gets a very favorable match-up vs Atlanta who ranked 29th vs opposing Quarterbacks. The popular builds for cash will have Jalen Hurts at Quarterback (whom I also like) but the $1,500 savings you get from Winston can go a long way in a cash build.

Running Backs

Saquon Barkley ($6,100)

Saquon Barkley is a must own for me in cash, and really any DFS format for that matter. Barkley is just way too cheap for his expected volume in a game that is expected to see some rain in the forecast. I will have close to 150 lines with Barkley in them in tournaments as well. Barkley should easily see 15-20 carries and at least 5 targets. Barkley is simply too cheap to not be in love with this week.

Alvin Kamara ($7,600)

One thing we have to remember is DFS is not season long. Yes, there may be a suspension coming at some point, but here’s what we know – Alvin Kamara is playing Week 1 against a terrible Atlanta Falcons team. Kamara is a huge part of The Saints offense and will continue to be. Kamara is also very involved in the passing game. In last year’s games vs Atlanta, Kamara put up 21.2 and 20.4 DraftKings points.

Wide Receivers

Michael Pittman Jr ($5,500)

Michael Pittman will be in pretty much every single cash game build no matter where you get your info, and for good reason; he’s unde-priced by quite a bit. The Colts offense should be centralized around him and Jonathan Taylor. Matt Ryan is a slight upgrade at Quarterback. Pittman should easily see eight targets unless this game get out of hand. And it’s good news for the Colt’s passing game that The Texans aren’t as bad as they used to be.

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown ($6,200)

I think Hollywood Brown is in a fantastic spot in Week 1 vs The Chiefs. Kyler Murray gets to team up with his old college teammate in a game with a massive total of 53.5 points. The Chiefs’ defensive is horrendous (even their fans will admit that). Deandre Hopkins will be out for some time with his suspension. Rondale Moore is a nice play at just $4,000 and I’ll use both in tournaments, but for cash I don’t want the risky Moore play.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert ($4,500)

I absolutely love Dallas Goedert this season. Philly has only gotten better this off season added AJ Brown. Ertz is gone and the door is wide open for Dallas Goedert. The Lions ranked 24th vs Tight Ends last season.

Defenses

New York Giants ($2,300)

I almost always pay down for defense in cash games. The chalk pick will be The Commanders here vs The Jaguars. Defenses are fluky. I landed on The Giants because it fit my build. I also think The Titans are going to be a very bad team this season. The weather also helps here.

I wish you all the best in Week 1! I hope to see you back at goingfor2.com in Week 2 with more cash than you did in Week 1!
