The Best DraftKings Cash Game Picks for Week 2 9/18/2022

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford ($6,300)

Week 1 was a good week as the plays from last week’s article put up 172.76 and was good enough to cash! Week 2 will start with another similar build for me at Quarterback with Matthew Stafford against The Falcons. Stafford is coming off an embarrassing game vs Buffalo in Week 1. I love the bounce-back spot here for Stafford. The Rams are still Super Bowl champs and they get a great chance to bounce back here vs The Falcons. I will continue to attack The Falcons’ terrible pass defense, they let Jameis Winston put up 21.7 Draftkings points on them, at $6,300 Stafford can easily put up 25+.

Running Backs

Javonte Williams ($6,500)

Javonte Williams is in a great spot at a great price here. Last week I was super heavy on Saquon Barkley and I will have a similar stance here with Williams. Williams had 12 targets last week, which is very important when looking at a cash game running back because he makes his floor extremely high. The Texans rank 30th versus the run. Williams will be involved in the run and the pass in a fantastic game script.

Chase Edmonds ($5,200)

I love Chase Edmonds in Week 2. Edmonds is another running back that offers a nice floor as he is involved in both the passing game and the running game. The price tag here is very nice, he caught all 4 of his target in Week 1. I expect his target share to rise to 5-8 in this game. Anytime you can get a running back expected to touch the ball 20 times at $5,200, I’ll be playing him.

Wide Receivers

Jerry Jeudy ($5,600)

Jerry Jeudy had 7 targets in Week 1 and did a lot with them scoring 23.2 Draftkings points. I expect Denver to put up a bunch of points in this game, especially after that embarrassment in Week 1. I expect Russel Wilson to sling the ball all over the field in a great match-up against The Texans.

Davante Adams ($8,600)

New year, new team, new quarterback, same results. Davante Adams is a stud and had 17 — count em — 17 targets in Week 1. The Raiders and Cardinals game has a massive 52-point over/under and a big reason is that the Cardinals’ secondary is extremely bad. The Cheifs put up 44 points in Week 1 versus them. Adams gets a positive match-up vs cornerback Marco Wilson.

Tight-End

Pat Freiermuth ($4,400)

Pat Freiermuth was on the field for 89 percent of The Steelers’ plays in Week 1, he ran a route on 76 percent of those plays, and a 29 percent target share. Volume is king in DFS and especially in cash games. I expect Bill Belichick to do what Bill Belicheck does and that is take away the stud on offense. If we take Najee Harris out of the game what are The Steelers left with? It’s Pat Freiermuth.

Defense

I expect this game to be boring and low scoring. The Patriots are road favorites at -2. I think both offenses are pretty bad. I expect this game to be an extremely slow pace with a few turnovers, of course, I mean Mitchell Trubisky is still the quarterback for now!
