The Best NBA Draftkings Picks 12/31/2020
Welcome to the Goinfor2.com website, happy to have you here! This season I will be our weekly Thursday night NBA writer for Draftkings. I highly recommend you follow the page daily and see how our writers do, this is free content who doesn’t love free stuff! All of our writers write their article the night before so make sure you are checking starting lineups prior to lock, a lot can change in 10 minutes with NBA DFS!
Centers
The Star- Zion Williamson ($7,900)
Zion Williamson is an absolute star. He is coming off a poor blowout performance vs The Suns. I love the idea of getting a pissed off bully in Zion. Zion is the cheapest he has been all year at $7,900. The biggest thing last season was the minutes restriction, coach Stan Van Gundy has actively said “I expect to play Zion 33-34 minutes per game this season”. Last season Zion supported a 30.3 % usage rate.
The Mid-Range- DeMarcus Cousins ($5,000)
DeMarcus Cousins is one of my favorite DFS players of all time. I used to play him at least 3 times a week back when he was a star with The Sacramento Kings. Cousins is a big question mark in this game, but he is coming off the Covid-19 list not an injury! I am projecting his minutes to be around 22-28 but he is an absolute wild card here. I think he should start and slide Christian Wood to the second unit. Wood has been amazing this season so maybe he starts at the 4.
The Value- Aaron Baynes ($4,600)
I’m not excited about this one, this is what I mean by checking lineups, as value seems to open up more and more throughout the day. I have a rule in DFS, it’s simple is a guy is going to play 20+ minutes I won’t play him. Why Baynes? Aaron Baynes is playing 20-28 minutes per game, which fits my mold, hhe has flirted with a double-double twice this season which gives you a 1.5 DK point bonus.
Power Forwards
The Star- Brandon Ingram ($8,000)
Brandon Ingram has been absolutely incredible since joining The New Orleans Pelicans. Brandon Ingram in the 2019-2020 season won The NBA’s Most Improved Player Award. This season he has been no different, Ingram has supported 35+ minutes consistently, scoring over 53 DK points twice in 4 games, and a 28% usage rate in 2019-2020
The Mid-Range- Harrison Barnes ($5,400)
Harrison Barnes has been uber consistent this season. Barnes has scored 30+ DK points in 3 of 4 games with The Sacramento Kings this season. Barnes is also a minutes monster for this team, he has played anywhere from 29-42 minutes across a 4 game stretch. He even has a respectable 19% usage rate this season.
The Value- Jae’Sean Tate ($4,000)

I want to write none here, but if you need to find someone here I’ll list Jae’Sean Tate. Tate should take a minutes decrease with The Rocket gaining Cousins, and Wall back, however he plays 3/4 for and he could find minutes at the 3. Just remember minutes equal production
Small Forwards
The Star- RJ Barrett ($6,900)
RJ Barrett, well this is a guy you either love or hate when it comes to DFS. I personally am more in the hate category, but RJ Barrett is averaging 36 minutes per game. We can thank Tom Thibodeau for that. Thibs has also played Julius Randle a ton so if you own either in season long lets all thank Thibs. Barrett is consistently shooting 15+ times per game, if making 1 lineup I doubt I get here, but if playing multiple lines he should make your player pool. Toronto ranks dead last vs the position.
The Mid-Range- Luguentz Dort ($5,100)
Luguentz Dort is a solid value play in my opinion. Dort is playing over 30 minutes a game. He has done well with them too supporting an average of 29 DK points per game, that’s close to 6x value averaged!
The Value- Royce O’Neale ($3,800)
Royce O’Neale or as I like to call him Rolls Royce, isn’t a consistent DFS player. Rolls Royce can get you 25+ at $3,800 and be an exceptional value, he can also get you 9. Buyer beware on this one but I’m in for a few shares.
Shooting Guards
The Star- Donovan Mitchell ($7,600)
Donovan Mitchell burnt me last game, he had 0 DK points in the first 9 mins, but still got to 31.5. I’m not lining up to play hard on Thursday with Wall,Cousins and Gordon all back. Mitchell has a 31% usage rate, he shoots 20 times a game, he averages 5 assists, if the shot starting falling he’ll destroy this price tag!
The Mid-Range- Jordan Clarkson ($4,800)
This is strictly price related. Clarkson is simply too cheap for a guy averaging 27 DK points per game, again another guy with 6x production consistantly.
The Value- Cole Anthony ($4,200)
If you are desperate at this position, or we get some news that benefits him I’m in here. Anthony has been averageing of 1 point per minute in terms of fantasy incredible for a rookie. Problem is the minutes just aren’t quiet there yet.
Point Guards
The Star- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,100)
Here’s another guy supporting a 30% usage rate playing over 36 minutes see a trend here. I like this game a lot even tho the vegas total is low. We may be able to get exceptional player at lower ownership and SGA is no exception.
The Mid-Range- Elfrid Payton ($5,900)
Elfrid Payton was a player I drafted everywhere in season long. It’s as simple as this coach Thibs will play his starters a ton. Payton offers triple-double upside and a bunch of minutes with the banged up Knicks back court.
The Value- None. Don’t play anyone down here unless we get news that opens our value.
