The Best NHL Picks and Analysis 11/21/2021 (7 Game Slate)
The Wild are coming to life, the Blackhawks are charging forward, will the momentum keep going or will the train stop rolling? I for one love this slate we have tonight and it will be exciting to watch with plenty of fantasy upside! Let’s take a look at this MONEY SLATE!

Minnesota Wild V Tampa Bay Lightning
These two teams are starting to finally play some good hockey! On the Wild side, Kaprizov and the gang have been stepping up to the plate, even though they recently fell to the red hot Florida Panthers Saturday night. Their first shooting line, though, was absolutely on point registering three total goals on that line alone and a handful of assists. The scoring has been pretty evenly spread out, which tells me they have a good game plan. It helps when they have a star in the making with Hartman getting yet ANOTHER goal in this contest. I am a little worried about their goaltending as Talbot saw 36 shots and let four bye to end with a .889 save rate for the game. This game dropped his season average to .906 and he has been on a decent for a few games now. They need to get a good game plan in effect if they want to beat the charging Lightning. I would not let their loss to the Devils on Saturday convince you that they are not good. Their first line lacked production, but their 3rd and 4th lines picked up the slack and scored 3 times against a good goalie, this one can go either way, as Vasil has been looking like an AHL prospect instead of an NHL pro lately and letting pucks slide on bye. Kahkonen and Elliot are expected to make a start on both sides, if this is the case, I LOVE a game stack here.

Buffalo Sabres V New York Rangers
I am not living up to the “Sabres are coming in hot” narrative heading into this one. They will not have an answer for the fast-paced skating squad of the Rangers. The Rangers just got a free day off due to their contest with the Senators being postponed so they will be refreshed and ready for the weak Sabres squad. The Rangers shoot too much on the goal for the Sabres to keep up and will run away with this one. If the projected total is 5.5, HAMMER that over button. New York should get the Over themselves alone with how bad Buffalo is with allowing goals every game.

Toronto Maple Leafs V New York Islanders
I do not know what has happened to New Yorks’s goaltending lately, but man it is just hard to watch. Every team they have faced has had their way with them, forcing their offense to work overtime just to keep games close, for that reason, I want some exposure as the Islanders need to play fast and aggressive, making this contest very fantasy relevant. They will be facing a Maple Leaf team who just got blanked by the Penguins Saturday night 2-0, which is due in part to the Pittsburgh getting back into competitive form finally. This is a matchup where the projected starters in net for both sides are just awful and both allow just about 4 goals a game. This is good for the Islanders, like I said they shoot a ton and are used to playing from behind. If they can get Woll flustered early and hammer him with the puck, Brock Nelson and his gang should eat in this one and walk away with the needed win in this one.

The Blackhawks are coming alive and heating up while Vancouver is still one of the most unpredictable teams in the NHL. Debrincat and Kane are picking up where they left off last season and are still my favorite correlation duo in the NHL. If there is a Chicago goal, the odds are they are involved in it. They did struggle with Edmonton on Saturday but come on, the Oilers are the toughest team to beat this season and not many teams have found a solution to stop them. I have ZERO interest in Vancouver in this contest due strictly to their unpredictability. This game will be fun to watch if you are a Chicago fan as they should walk away with the dub in this one and start planning for the next.

Washington Capitals V Seattle Kraken
Oh boy, this one is going to be good and probably my favorite game on the whole slate. The Capitals are just rolling right now on offense, due mostly to having the 4th highest goal scorer in NHL history on their side. The problem is, their goalkeeping is straight trash, basically making all that offense worthless. This should have the Kraken licking their chops as they are starting to get their stuff together and work as a team. I kind of expected them to have a slow start as they have never played together before, but they are getting there and producing numbers on offense.

Calgary Flames V Boston Bruins
Man Boston is finding ways to win lately, and their goalies are just getting better as the season rolls on. They will go into this one with a head of steam as they just rolled Philly 5-2 and barely broke a sweat doing it. It was kind of concerning that their first even-strength line has not been doing much lately, though, leaving them to rely on their weaker lines. This makes me want to save some salary in this one on both platforms and go somewhere else on the team. The Flames, seem to ride on one man lately, good ole Andrew Mangiapane. The dude JUST got of an injury and has been lighting it up lately with a handful of goals in the past few games and he does not look to be slowing down, this will make it challenging for whoever is starting for Boston in the net tonight. This contest will stay close, with lots of action, I would not mind a nice game stack with this one, either.

Arizona Coyotes V Los Angeles Kings
I am just going to stop betting against the Coyotes as they prove me wrong every time! I do not understand how they are winning when they are playing the sloppiest hockey I have seen in a long time! Luckily, the Kings are turning into the hottest offense right now, and are going to light the scoreboards on fire in this one. Kempe is fresh off of a two-goal game and he is just heating up lately. He and Brown are so in sync with one another they are turning into a nasty duo. I am very interested in the power-play unit here, and they will have MANY chances for a power-play goal. The Coyote’s luck runs out here, and they get back into their losing ways.
