The Doctor’s DFS Rx for MLB Draftkings 5/1/15

Welcome world! I am the Dfs Doctor, the newest writing member here at GoingFor2. Here to help you all with any DFS advice you may need on DraftKings for each day’s MLB slate. I look to not only give great advice, but also provide you all with some personality that’ll keep you coming back for more. Each day (hopefully, cuz life keeps me busy) I’ll provide you insight for DraftKings via my DFS Rx (prescription).

Ok enough about me, let’s talk some baseball!

It’s Friday and we got a wonderfully full 14 game slate. So your options on who to play can be a little bit overwhelming at times. For that reason right there I like to stick with cash game picks. Cash games (50/50s and double ups) will give you a higher chance to cash so I’ll stick with more consistent guys. Today I’m only going in detail about what pitchers I like, as on DraftKings we get to pick two (take that Fanduel!) since pitchers can make or break your lineup.

PITCHERS:

Carlos Carrasco ($7900) For me Carrasco is gonna give me two things that I love, Value and K’s. His price point will give you the extra cash to spend on some power hitters. While his K rate will help us rack up FP. I understand Vegas has this game pretty close, but it’s in Clevelands favor. So getting the win might be a bit tough. Lucky for us DraftKings doesn’t let that hurt us too much.

Matt Harvey ($11,200) I’ll be honest, I’m not in love with Harvey. He’s expensive and going up against a nationals team that can score runs. But here’s his bright side I can’t over look….his elite 28% K rate over his career. He’s already proven that he can take this team down once this season. So feel safe about him, his price just makes me cringe.

Lance Lynn ($8300) Let me get this out if the way, I like Lance Lynn!! Good price, great strikeout potential and he’s a favored to win this game against the Pirates. Honestly, I see him being of more of a value than Harvey (duh look at the price difference).

Roenis Elias ($6800) This pick might actually be better suited for GPP tournament. But nonetheless I think Elias could score a decent amount of points tonight going up against one of the leagues worst teams when it comes to strikeout rate. Like I said earlier I like value!
