The Only Waiver Article You Need for Week 6

RB Devontae Booker (NYG) 11% Rostership

If you are looking for a RB this week, you needn’t look any further than Devontae Booker. He may not be the most effective handcuff in the NFL but the volume is looking strong.

Injuries to Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, and possibly Kadarius Toney (yes that list is real), have lead Booker to be the last man standing literally and figuratively. Booker ended up with 100% of the RB snaps after Saquon was injured and received 19 touches (16 carries, 3 catches). Not only that but he managed to fall into the end zone twice. I won’t promise you the efficiency (2.63 yards per carry), but Booker is a flex option for the weeks that Saquon is out. – Kyle Bazin @KyleTheCommish

TE David Njoku (CLE) 5% Rostership

David Njoku exploded in Week 5 against the Chargers with 7 catches, 149 yards, and a TD. The touchdown came on a 71-yard scamper in the 4th quarter showing off his underrated speed. Njoku ran 21 pass routes compared to the 18 Austin Hooper ran on Sunday, so he’s getting the playing time. The TE position has been crazy unpredictable this season, so why not take a gamble that this is the beginning of a trend? – Gary Zamarripa @garyzam01

WR Kadarius Toney (NYG) 31% Rostership

Sometimes in the NFL, your biggest ability is your availability. Kadarious Toney is a talented rookie wide receiver and has shined due to injuries in the wide receiving corps. In Week 5, he had 189 yards and a total of 267 yards in the past two weeks. In the span of the last two games, Toney is WR7.

Even if Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton come back healthy soon, I think Toney has already earned his shoe in this offense. He is putting up these stats with Daniel Jones and Mike Glennon as his quarterbacks. – Michael Hicks @dropthemikeFF

TE Dan Arnold (JAX) 7% Rostership

It’s a peculiar season for tight ends, to say the least. And so, perhaps it’s not inaccurate to wonder if now Dan Arnold just might be coming into fantasy relevance. With the loss of D.J. Chark to an ankle injury in Week Five, Dan Arnold stood out last week as Jacksonville’s leading receiver. Arnold was a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence, catching six of his eight passes (although he did have a costly fumble) and it’s likely that Arnold will keep up similar production with Chark out for the season.

Arnold has yet to score this season, but the Jaguars’ next opponent, Miami, has surrendered three touchdowns to tight ends this season and averages 50 yards per game to the position. Then, they face the Seattle defense, a free-for-all in passing yards, averaging 328 yards to receivers over the past three weeks. – Cecily Riddell @MrsTeamRiddell

WR Rondale Moore (AZ) 53% Rostership

Moore is tragically under-owned. In Week Five, Moore had five catches (on six targets) for 59 yards. He also added three carries for 38 yards. This followed a two-week dry spell, in which Moore had five catches (on five targets) for 29 yards combined. Prior to Weeks Three and Four, he registered seven catches for 114 yards and a TD in week two. Through five weeks, Moore’s highest snap rate percentage was Week Five’s 48 percent.

Currently, he is the PPR WR38 for the season. Although the inconsistency is hard to manage, I would take a gamble on Moore seeing increased playing time as the season progresses. With bye weeks starting in Week Six, fantasy managers could do far worse for their WR3/Flex positions. At least, you know his offense will likely score points. – Brian Craighead @vandygrad92

TE Ricky Seals-Jones (WFT) 4% Rostership

Washington (and Ron Rivera) has always found a way to utilize their TEs into their offense. Logan Thomas was very successful and Ricky Seals-Jones is stepping right in. Along with the upcoming matchup against a struggling and vulnerable Kansas City defense, RSJ looks like a great grab. – Jake Kohlhagen @jakekohlhagen

WR Hunter Renfrow (LV) 57% Rostership

Renfrow is the #26 WR this season in PPR. That’s really all this explanation needs.

No? We need more? OK, I’ll give you more. He is 2nd on his team with 38 targets, only behind Darren Waller. His Quarterback is throwing the ball 41 times per game on average, which is 3rd most in the NFL. Renfrow is also the main Raiders target on 3rd down and has 7 3rd down catches for 1st downs already, which is tied for 8th in the NFL.

In a standard league, I understand the hesitation, but in a PPR format, Renfrow has one of the safer floors across the league. He should be rostered in every league. – Kyle Bazin @KyleTheCommish

RB Darrell Williams (KC) 19% Rostership

Midway through the third quarter of Sunday night’s loss to the Bills, Clyde Edwards-Helaire sprained his MCL and was immediately ruled out of the game. On Monday, it was announced that CEH would miss “a few weeks”.

Darrell Williams is my favorite running back on the wire this week, including Devontae Booker. My slant towards Williams is that he has been carving out a role over the last three weeks with Edwards-Helaire playing, and should maintain PPR stand-alone value upon his return. Over the last three weeks combined, Williams has rushed 22 times for 87 yards and a touchdown, while adding 7 catches for 45 yards.

He is Sleeper’s PPR RB 47. In 2020 playoff wins over the Browns and Bills, he had 26 carries for 130 yards and a touchdown. He also added five catches for 25 yards. On a high-scoring offense, he has the ability to be an RB2 with CEH out. – Brian Craighead @vandygrad92
