Ultimate Rookie Report Super Bowl LX Edition

Super Bowl LX was a defensive struggle. That coupled with only a few rookie skill players gave me a chance to highlight some of the defensive babies and offensive linemen I never get to discuss.

I’m going to address the elephant in the room first. Robbie Ouzts did not play. It doesn’t matter; he still gets a ring. Seattle didn’t run any offensive rookie skill players in this year’s Super Bowl. Grey Zabel played every snap on the offensive line. Rylie Mills had a sack and Nick Emmanwori had five tackles even though he missed practice this week with a bad ankle

Stats were slim pickings in general for the New England Patriots and the rookies were not immune to this fact. TreVeyon Henderson had six carries for 19 yards. He also caught three passes for 26 yards. Kyle Williams had two targets come his way, catching one for 7 yards. Kyle also had the tackle of the day, destroying the fan who rushed the field. It didn’t take a trained eye to see that Will Campbell struggled at tackle, as did his rookie partner in crime, Jared Wilson, and honestly, the rest of the offensive line. The torn ligament in Campbell’s knee probably didn’t help. On the Patriots’ defensive side, Craig Woodson put in work. With 10 total tackles, three for a loss, Woodson led the team. Andres Borregales kicked the one extra point he was asked to for a solid 100% conversion rate.

Hopefully I can complete the wrap up for next Wednesday but I’ve had a lot of things come up in the last week which is why this is a little late. Then I go into my yearly writing hibernation until August.
