Ultimate Rookie Report Week 11
It was a weak week for the rookies. I suppose they can’t all be bangers. I guess we’ve just been spoiled by 20+ point performances. This list would still exist even if the rookies didn’t break 10 points.
These guys are the best of the week according to PPR. Unless Jaylen Wright and Blake Corum pop tonight.

The Giants had to travel all the way to Germany to play the Carolina Panthers. They lost, but not because of Tyrone Tracy. With 18 Carries in the game, Tracy ran for 103 yards and a touchdown. He also had a catch for 1 yard (every 1.1 point helps in fantasy). Unfortunately, he also had two fumbles, one of which he lost. Since week 5, Tyrone Tracy has been the 9th best running back in the league.
5. Bo Nix (16.1)
I personally pulled Bo from my fantasy lineup and regret it. The Kansas City defense is notoriously stingy and even though Bo has been killing it lately, it felt like an easy spot for him to regress. Instead, Nix nearly beat the undefeated Chiefs. Bo Nix completed 22/30 of his passes for two touchdowns and 215 yards. This week was a career low in rushing (three carries for -5 yards), but it was still the best rookie quarterback performance of the week.

A MARVIN HARRISON SIGHTING. In a blowout win against the Jets, Harrison caught all five of his targets for 54 yards and a touchdown.
3. Ricky Pearsall (17.3)
It is amazing that Ricky Pearsall is even playing football this year after being shot in the chest before the season even started. Now he is one of the top rookies of the week on our countdown! Pearsall caught four of his six targets for 73 yards and a touchdown. With Brandon Aiyuk out for the year, there is a lot of opportunity for Pearsall to flourish in the Kyle Shanahan offense.

Bucky Irving is clearly the best running back in Tampa, but he’s unfortunately still splitting time. Even with the split, Irving took his 13 attempts for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also caught all three of his targets for 14 yards. If he can just get a few more touches a game, Bucky could break into the top 20 of running backs on the season.
1. Joshua Karty (19)
Full disclosure: I wanted to get this done on Monday because I have a busy week. I did the writing part in my downtime and felt pretty safe that Jaylen Wright and Blake Corum weren’t going to make the list. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about Joshua Karty. Realistically, I would have done the same thing even if I had remembered. Karty has only had one double digit performance all season. Unfortunately, it was a Karty Party. Karty kicked 5 field goals. He actually could have had a real monster game if there hadn’t been a false start making his second attempt a 57 yarder. If it was going to be a low scoring week, I’m glad that somebody who never gets a chance to make the list got the top spot.
Two years ago I made a lot of Jets jokes. This year, with a multiple time MVP at quarterback, they’ll be lucky if they get near their 2022 record. Unfortunately, I have to manufacture jokes like the Malachi Corley* story because their rookies are that irrelevant**.
*Corley had one catch for two yards this week. Go him!
**Except for Braelon Allen’s two touchdowns against Tennessee.
